  1. Does anyone used the Halo series of gauges from ProSport? If not do you have something like them and what are they. Could you post some clips of them and where did you get the A piller and/or pods? Really like to have one that would change colors for high boost or low oil pressure. And has anyone put a motorized moon roof in theirs? I think that would just set it off. I had one in my 93 T-Bird 5.0 HO and man did I come to love that thing. It had a sun shade also. If it can be done, I would use the one out of it. I like the fact that you could use it as a sun roof or retrack it all the way.
  2. Oh and forgot to get pics for you GI.SS.........I'll get some tomorrow since we are going to car show and taking my truck down to go see it.
  3. FINALLY got to drive my Truck today..........oh such a big s%^t eatin grin on my face.......got to play a little bit also. Seen a 6 banger Camaro (not the new ones, but would have for kicks) oh yeah just had to see what it had. Good excuse I thought anyways. Yeah she bark's........I am quite impressed for what they weigh. But damn nice ridin....oh and those seats oh man I love them! MPG really isn't any worse than what my 04 S10 crew cab was.....so Im happy. Nicer ride....quite cab noise except for the healthy exhaust note(Think it has true dual exhaust already), and compared to my S10 you can actually talk back and forth in it! No real hwy noise to it at all. And will be able to pull my boat around and not having to work the heck out of it. That little S10 would use 1/4 tank of fuel going to the lake and back with the boat. 25 miles one way I suppose it is. Cant wait to get started on the goodies sounds like my business should be up and running in a month or so. So I'll be saving every dime for this baby. Gonna change my cam in my Comp T/A and bigger crank pulley and call it good until my truck motor/turbo/trans pretty much revamped is finished. And having someone from up NORTH wants to go down to Oklahoma with me this summer and drive his SSS down to do some Fishin, but gonna have to pull my boat down so we can go fishing fishing also. Gotta do that with some bottle bass! We had a little board meeting on difference of FishIN and Fishing....meeting Adjourned after that right SuperSport ^^ remembered your handle this time
  4. ConGrats on the run! like to see some pics of your setup.....and the cage
  5. TCI has one for the new stangs that they are suppose to make universal that looks really cool. Lock out reverse and slap forward for next gear.

That is some awesome air brushing.....2 thumbs up on it!
  7. cant wait to see this beast finished! and see what it does.......... doing some good work there. Like the idea of cleaning up the wires.
  8. That looks like something I like to do.......I use my iphone then I don't have to use my cd's. Do you have any pics of the process you did? Good job by the way!
  9. If I have some extra stuff I'll remember yeah and when time comes if you wanna help out I'm sure my arm could be twisted for something
  10. You can do the down firing ones and just make sure the ports are facing forward and unrestricted......And for the ports for those sub's I would goto the manufactures website and see what they recommend for a ported box and the size of the box. Sealed boxes tend to be smaller and create a tighter bass. And take more power to power them. Ported boxes are generally bigger......twice the size of sealed from my experience. And are a boomer sound to them and are louder. If the box is prebuilt for certain set of 10's and you make the hole to fit 12's it might not be big enough for the 12's. And also depends at what Hz you want to run them at also. There should be info on the manufactures website for that also. I don't remember precisely but the bass waves are like 5/6 feet long. That is why it doesn't matter if the subs are facing down or forward. In my system I have two firing forward in to the passenger cabin and two firing backwards. Its all pressure and doesn't matter which way it is facing. As long as you are dyno matting to keep things from vibrating and loosing that energy and keeping it in the car/truck.
  11. why most do it is cause E85 is 105 octane so it makes cheap race fuel. But I remember reading somewhere that it is kind of a different rating if I remember correctly. From that article and maybe it was in one of my LSx books I have and compare it to C16. So 3 bucks a gal. is quite a bit cheaper than 5 gal of C16 at 90 bucks. But in the tuning books I have you are suppose to be able to lean E85 out quite a bit for highway. Its the properties of it that is why I guess. I'll do some digging in my books and when I come across it....I'll post it on here. Suppose to get 3/4's or little better of the mpg of petroleum. And if that is the case sure makes it easier to choose E85. Oh and asked a dyno tuner in Sioux Falls, SD and he had said the same thing.
  12. TROLLER....hey Sup James......ha ha Man my bad I forgot that was your user id....or I really would had fun with yeah!
  13. What SuperSport is saying is the SD mode gets fueling from calculating the MAP, IAT, TPS, sensors and RPM's and the use of the VE table. Closed loop uses the MAF and the O2's....with the O2's varying back and forth to try and keep it at 14.7:1 and there are more tables that come into play.....STFT's and LTFT's and Cell block's and other maps and charts. Closed loop with PE enrichment uses tables for WOT once you hit a predetermined KPA that you are able to set with most programs now Open loop uses MAF and CLT's till the O2's come up to temp 1 bar is 14.7 vac to atmospheric pressure 2 bar is 14.7 vac to 14.7 psi 3 bar is 14.7 vac to 29.4 psi and so on just add 14.7 to each bar going up hope it clears a few things up.....These guys on here know more than I do I'm sure. Just trying to help clarify.
  14. From what I have read it doesn't matter if forward or downward facing subs. Now if the ports are facing downwards and not facing forward or being limited ......now that would make a difference.
  15. Sorry took so long to get back to you....was out of town for some software training. They are the Billet ones and believe they are made in Ohio.
  16. Thanks guys and will keep yeah all updated as things come in. Doing it so that I can keep driving it while building everything and do it all at once. And thx on the gl with the business. I was able to get my foot in the door with USBank doing document conversions. Looking to expand on that and see what it brings. USBank doesn't sub anymore work now But nice while it lasted. And paid way better than computer repair/networking. So going to have to take some training cause will have to develop from scratch where as USBank just gave me word docs and then I converted to Adobe. Basically build online forums that you fill out on the net from banks. Credit apps, loans them types of things is what I built. Kind of have the notion to do two fuel systems......so I could switch the tune out and have a second tank with E85. Don't know if I want to make it more complicated and added weight. Would be nice for me on trips that I wouldn't have to stop and get out and fill up when I am traveling by myself......pain in the arse when your in a wheelchair. Had my cam guy help pick out the turbo's for me....and if I looked at the maps right the lowest boost I can go with them is 12 psi give or take. But if want to go wild they will support 1600. So it is pretty much turn the dial as I grow in my driving skills. But he said it should be a pretty mild for the street. If you can call it mild......lol But be very streetable and still do stock mpg IF I mean IF I can keep my hand out of the throttle.....lol yeah my hand can be very heavy...
  17. Couldn't think of a better name for the truck since I've been called a wildchild when I was younger. LSx GM Block std deck 4.125 bore 9.5 cr Callies DragonSlayer 4" crank. There is a waiting list for callies cranks right now so I put down a 300 deposit so I can make up my mind when order comes up if I would want to go the billet route. The dragonslayer has been in 1500hp builds that they know of and not one of them hasn't broke yet.....well to the cranks letting go anyways......you know what I mean. 6.125 Callies I beam ultra billet rods Wiseco armor coated pistons (reason not going stroker is to get as beefy lands as possible and get rings down on the piston as much as possible for durability) TFS GenX 245 cathedral heads Jesel roller lifters Jesel roller rockers Cam will be mid 230's/low 240's 115+ LSA 3500-7000 rpm band twin S466 ETR-HO T-4 71mm/ .91 A/R Trick Perf hot and cold sides with air/water intercooler full ARP studs and bolts with 1/2 head studs 2000cc Injectors but looking into Moran 160 or 235 lb injectors also but need to look into a few things before deciding for sure 4150 single plane intake with elbow Aeromotive return fuel system Holley Dominator EFI E-Boost 2 controller Snow Meth kit and 9" front and rear diff's probably have to go with 4L80E....with 3600-3800 stall going to do a vac system on this also looking 650-700 street on 92 and E85 for at the track and work my way up once I get into the 1/4 seen Just want to do it once and be done with it......and work my way into the power. And build how fast the build goes depends on how well my business does I start this spring. The income off of it will be my build money.
  18. man I love that bottle...been thinking of getting into air brushing myself and see where it goes.
  19. I was talking to my cam guy and he said if you aren't going to go over 7000 rpm's you don't need to go rectangular heads. And in that mind the Cathedral head will flow just as much and if not more depending on heads and probably have better velocity. Think I read in one of my books that the cathedral flow more off of .200 than rectangular heads.......I'd have to check to make sure!
  20. Thanks Bro......cant wait to get air ride in it so I can make use of it. I'll take some good pics when I get it all shined up. Right now its out in my folks shed staying out of the elements. Driving me nuts not being able to drive it. Thinking I might throw my baby procharger 600b on it with 9lb pulley's. It should make good power with stock components on it. It did great powering my LT1 and I have 12lb pulley's too, but think that might be to much. Start small and go from there easy to change the pulleys on the SS compared to my Comp T/A.
  21. Talked to my sales rep at Caliies this afternoon. Was surprised he called me on Saturday afternoon. He actually remembered me.....as the crazy arse wheelchair dude with 383 LT1 from my Comp T/A. But chatted with him for a bit and ended up putting a deposit down on a dragonslayer crank. Was questioning if I needed to goto a billet crank. But he said that is would hold 1600 with out any issues. But they have a list to get a crank now. Have a line of 1500 or so. So figured might as well get my name on one....and they will call me when they get to me for the rest of the rotating assembly set up. So question is.... where do I list my build list? Here or in the Build topic? Patrick
  22. Welcome From SW part of Mn here. They both look like very nice trucks, good luck with the one you choose.
