Tranny flush with 130,000+?
4Runner replied to 4Runner's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Ya that sucks. I just always look at that for a good time to just upgrade everything:) -
Man! Thank you very much for that Argo. That was helpful. Glad I us it still. I have a lot of the stations that are on the list around me. I'm surprised maverick isn't on that list. But that would explain why that fuel sucks. When I was using it in my runner I always had fuel problems. Like my filter being clogged
-
lol I do agree I'm not big on the front but I do like it. Also like that it comes with light bara
-
Do you guys have tunes to run 93?

Looking for a stock silverado ss exhaust
4Runner replied to silveradoss0325's topic in For Sale/ Wanted
Where do you live? -
Didn't mean to "take a dump" here. I was talking about what he is doing to his truck. Don't know why I would need a new thread to talk about the same damn thing. Isn't that what a build thread is for? Put update, ask questions, and share advice?
-
lol ok. That's pretty funny. What is top tier gas? I can't get 93. That was a bummer when I found out I couldn't
-
I've never heard that. But I wouldn't know. I can't 93 or else I would
-
Are any of you guys doing anything to your trucks? Like fuel injection cleaner? What kind of fuel do you run and where from? I do fuel injection cleaner every oil change. I also use 91 octane only chevron fuel. The reason I do chevron. In my toyotas I used to run whatever and then I was told chevron had good fuel so I tried it and in my 4runner I noticed it ran better(not faster, just smother.)and got on average of 1.5 more then others. This is why I ask too

Welcome. I started a thread on here a week or so ago about flushing the trans with 130,000 and everyone said don't do it. Just thought you should know
-
A buddy and I was talking about this too. I would've thought he got better because he has a 05 with e fans and I have a 03 with out and he's around 15s all the time
-
With mine I have a volant cold are kit with OLD cone in the winter I am right around 15-16 and summer I'm 16-19.
-
And before any one says it. I don't expect good mpg. do you drive hard? I don't even get that. Ever
-
That pretty low. I just drove from Utah to black foot Idaho with about 700 pounds of stuff at speeds from 90-95(running late)and got 14.8. And yes I did check it twice. Because I was shocked
-
I also tried using the search button on this forum and came up with nothing. Is this because I'm stupid or is it that I'm using tapa talk
-
I did that too. And only found other web sites. Thank you
-
So I'm just curious. Me and my buddy are way different in the gas milage range. What are you guys averages?
-
I'd like to have it for pulling. That'd be nice from the sounds of it
-
Is the 80E have lower gears on top end? Does it help with MPG? How would it be with that swap and say 4:38's?
-
Is the 80E geared differently then the 60E? Or is it all weight problems?
-
From a SAS? Or from my ford? I put hydro assist on my truck when I do it so I've never had that problem. Now that I think of it. I never had that problem before then ether? My ford though! It had it really bad. One of the reasons I did away with it! My dad is a jeep fan, and he had that problem tell he went to D60/14 bolt
-
Lol ya you have owned a lot of trucks. Not a big fan of any IFS on anything. Unless it completely built which can be way more money then a good SAS. I like them all. Every brand has their weakness. I don't much care for fords but that was my first car was a 70 high boy. $450 and it never broke down. Even jumped it a couple times. But what does everyone else think about these trucks? Dodge also has on called a ram runner. Any one seen or own those?
-
Wow I had no idea that those other company's raced in nascar. I know that it's owned buy Japanese. But what I'm getting at is like dodge for instance. They are built in Mexico. Giving them our work. Chevy, as far as I can tell built in Canada? I may be wrong bout that but everything is at least made their. And ford.... Well I have no clue about where they are built. Ether way I have owned three toyota truck and neither one have I ever had a problem with them. But!! I do love my Chevy to death! Will never sell it. It is also a good vehicle. I just have had more major problem with it then my toyotas. And I beat the hell out of those trucks. I ask a lot out of the two I own now. Is that the only problem you have with them? It's not "American?"
