who here remembers back in 07-08 the chat room at night around 7-9pm?? it was like a party in there like 20 people lol. the good days... now these trucks are used as plow rigs and work trucks
Not all trucks are worn out pigs. I think people have moved on from forms like this to Facebook pages. There is a SSS one and I got off of it because I couldnt handle the low IQs and the amount of stupid questions......

Center caps are not correct...... also Ive never seen a factory set of wheels paint chip off..... I guess anything is possible......How in the heck can you tell if they're replicas buy a picture big red 06
Well I live in Florissant I'm interested I guess p.m. me

Thanks! I still gotta give the wheels a hardcore polishing and the truck needs wax. What I really need is to solve my issues with washing at home. With no shade the vehicle dries too fast to avoid spots, plus the water quality sucks (we even give the cats bottled water! No lie)
Richard
You need a reverse osmosis filter for the cars. Griots Garage has one but I think its a little pricey......

Gave mine a really good bucket wash in the bay early yesterday morning. It's been dirty too long but I've been daily driving it to/from work and have a ridiculous schedule. Can't wash in my driveway as the water leaves spots immediately and no shade to wash in. Anyway it's raining today so that ends the little drought we were in... FML anyway it gave me a chance to address little minor scratches here and there once the truck was clean.
Richard
Looks good!

Here she sits after the parts.
Looks good! You work at the rail head?
-
The wheels look like replicas?

Thats a decent shock. Unless your truck is lifted I would stick with a sport truck shock......

Front diff and bullet proof on these trucks are not in the same sentence. These are nortorious for failing like was mentioned. I had brand new trucks back in the day (Escalades) and they were noisy from day 1 and zero miles. Just the design of them plus most people never maintained them. The front diffs were one of the weak links on these trucks and why opted for a rear drive truck.....

What kind of shocks you putting on? A quality shock shouldnt do that..... if your getting a parts store cheapie $20 shock that might be your problem......

Shocks will not change your ride height......

Some people say allegedly that GM did in fact make some single cabs SS in the first year but I think that is just a rumor floating around more than an actual fact..
None were made..... only one regular cab was built for SEMA.
-
People can ask what they want but at the end of the day everyone knows you dont typically get out what you put into a project. If you can find a fool to pay your money then good for you. From what I have seen clones are typically regular cabs and a real SSS was an extended cab so more like apples and oranges. Also most clones are just a body kit with little mods to drive train etc. some goto the extra length to build a drivetrain with extra performance but that isnt the norm.....

Obviously the chrome, the bed bars, bug deflector, and the SS bedside logo needs to be removed. . .
Yep de old man it and you would have a nice truck. Your not going to find one with low miles like that often. Looks stock as it still has the factory exhaust tip.

Ive gone to the local junk yards and cant find any.. Ill run ls1 fans as a last resort

There are literally millions of these trucks sitting in junk yards should not be hard to find one. Any GMT 800 will work so pickup or utility...
-
Or you could find a late 05 any 06 or a classic 07 truck and rob the electric fans out of it......
-
I would replace the whole thing. Typically the sender either breaks when removing the old pump or the sender will crap out later. You cant buy the sender separate so just buy both. Its a crap job dropping the tank so do it right once and be done..... places like rock auto give the OE number or you can goto AC Delcos website and enter your VIN and get the OE number.
-
From what I have read about it, a dealer should be able to reprogram your BCM to change it.
You are correct but my guess is they will charge about an hour labor to call and get a reflash and to upload......
-
You wont be able to tear them off and restick them. They will be destroyed when you remove them.
-
No..... mine with a stock alternator does the same. Totally normal. Its done in the name of fuel economy. Less drag on engine saves petro.....
-
Its normal. The PCM controls the alternator output once battery is charged it backs output down.........
-
I havent checked to see if they are still available from GM. Another option is a company out of Oregon. They have all the factory fabrics that you can buy in bulk. You would then just need to find a local upholstery shop to make you a seat cover. They could take your original and use it as a pattern......

Buy a new one.. 2003 Silverado 1500 SS Driver Side Bottom Replacement Leather Seat Cover, Dark Gray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KNDRUDE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wTjdBbNN79DEW

Stainless braided line conversion kit
in Suspension & Brakes
Posted
They dont make a braided line kit for whole truck. Braided are just used at wheel ends. If you want to upgrade get a stainless hard lines..... One place is classic tube. They are out of Michigan and I have used their products on my Chevelle.
