My guess is your ipc (gauge cluster) is bad.... Now I re read your post I'm guessing a camaro? If it was a Silverado I would say ipc since it's common. On your car it might be your pressure sender. Either the autometer uses stock sender or someone added a second backup sender? Did you put car together? That or I would see where backup gauge was spliced into harness might have a issue there?

Your correct Corsa only sells complete systems you can't buy just the muffer. Maybe if you can find a used system you might be able to find just the muffler. I think my truck has what looks like a flowmaster. It's not bad but some days the cab resonance drives me crazy. It's a decent looking muffler shop custom bent exhaust. Previous owner put on but its aluminized steel and when it rots out I'm getting a Corsa.

I wonder if they got something crossed up or there is a wire rubbed through or pinched that is shorting to ground.... I would keep looking you'll eventually find the problem......

No you did the right test... I am curious what would keep it from going asleep. Sometimes I have seen aftermarket stuff wired into a circuit (with scotch locks... I HATE them) and it back feeds and keeps a module awake....

I have never heard of an IPC causing a drain. I guess it's possible but a stuck spedo is a COMMON problem. There was a class action lawsuit in fact several years back. I wonder do you have any aftermarket items like a stereo or remote start that is possibly tied into that circuit? There is a reason that that is not going to "sleep".... I'm not sold that your IPC is the culprit.

Your probably fine with the GM one.... When gas got crazy expensive a few years ago people bought cheapo ones at the jippo auto part store. The generic ones are junk.... I don't like any locking gas cap it's a personal thing.....

Personally I hate locking gas caps. They never seal right and you throw a code..... Sold lots of non locking caps when I worked at a dealer. I'm sure it happens but I don't hear a lot about gas theft anymore..... Heck down here in the south I can get premium for under 2.50!

I disagree on flushing is bad. The problem isn't necessarily the flush but probably the lack of maintenance by a previous owner. As long as you change filters and flush on a regular regimen they will last. People think trans fluid doesn't wear out. The heat breaks down the oil which is why you change. Most people driving is considered severe but nobody maintains. If you drive city stop and go, pull a trailer or drive in temps over 90 it's considered severe..... Which honestly is probably about everyone out there. I would also "upgrade" to dex 6 when you have trans rebuilt it is a far superior fluid that Gm started using around 05 or 06. Don't forget to have your cooler flushed out in radiator or you will have problems......

Yes very helpful. My truck had harness already. I bought relay and switch off of amazon it was the cheapest place I found. I am doing something trick but am not done yet. I'll show everyone when I'm done!
