  1. Really hard to come by? They can be picked up at any GM dealer....
  2. If not used (sat in) and in a garage they should look new for a really long time. On every GM vehicle with the exception on Some Cadillacs you will see "leather seating surface" so part you sit in is leather rest is vynal. The SSS has true leather seats part you sit on. Back seat and all other parts are vynal. GM leather from the era of our truck is low quality which is why I'm not a huge fan. They have since upgraded to better hides but not much better. I had a caddy once that had REALLY nice leather but it was a car.....
  3. That picture is gone. Only 4 exterior pics.... There is another ISS on eBay with 1400 miles.
  4. Unless I am missing something your 05 has a 4l65 not a 4l60. All SSS had the 65s.
  5. That's because it's discontinued. Their website and others lists every part but it doesn't tell you it's disco until they cancel your order..... You can't easily just replace the pass cat if I recall its all part of the y crossover pipe. It's expensive which is why a previous owner did a hack job....
  6. You can also buy a AC Delco Ultra gold. It's a UPF 44 I run that on my LS1 Camaro and considered using on the SSS but right now just using the regular ol blue ones.... There are only about a half dozen companies in the U.S. That make filters so they are all about the same. Just stay away from cheapo ones or made in China ones....
  7. Looking good costs I guess.... At least it's still available
  8. They are made by WIX they are ok. End of the day most filters are about the same. Tomato tamato......
  9. Are these part discontinued from GM?
  10. Factory AC Delco here.....
  11. Hate to break it to you but a 1/2 pickup will never handle like a sports car..... And there isn't a stiffer bar you can buy like you can with a car.
  12. Torsion bars never wear out. Most likely you have worn suspension components. If shocks have never been replaced your WAY over due. Also check ball joints tie rods etc as you probably need some if not all with that kind of mileage.
  13. No problems from running 87. It just reduces power. I was running 89 as an experiment it ran fine EXCEPT when I went to wot.... It would knock pretty bad. Every once in a while I throw a bottle of Chevron Techron cleaner in tank. It's the same stuff as gm injector cleaner. If you buy a bottle of the gm stuff it has chevron logo on bottom of bottle. Pick up a bottle of the chevron stuff at your favorite parts house it's expensive but about half what the gm stuff costs.
  14. Cool, well I'll have to start savin'.
  15. No not yet I need to go pick one up. I find it odd both my LS's have same issue....
  16. Still may have an intake leak. The old trick a lot of people use is to squirt a SMALL amount of brake clean around intake. Spray a little and slowly work your way around. If engine speed increases you have found leak. I would test first because it has a plastic intake. This works on "older" cars with metal intakes.
  17. So that is the Baer kit with stock 06 caliper? Also what kind of pad did you go with?
  18. Nope nothing obvious... I smell at front of engine which leads me to the water pump but I see no evidence of leaking. On both vehicles seems worst after driving hard or after getting warm like sitting in traffic on way home and then parking....
  19. On MY SSS after some drives (not all the time) I notice the district smell of coolant. My reservoir is down a small amount but I can't find any leaks. I have tried the interweb and can't find much. I suspect my water pump might be leaking as the truck is 9 years old but it only has 53K. Interesting my 02 LS1 SS Camaro does the same thing but it only has 12K though..... Anyone have an idea or had this problem?
  20. I like the look of the bear 15 inch rotor kit. Has anyone here done this mod? I've got a 06 and the brakes seem like they need help. I've had a few panic stops that are less than confidence inspiring and I have the bigger factory rotor and caliper. It seems a bit pricey but if it works it would be worth it.
  21. Those are called "hero cards".... That's not a dealer item but rather a GM made item. That is a French version..... Just google SS Silverado hero cards and you will find English versions there were two..... Here is a link to a English one.... http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/news/SShero.pdf
  22. Without scoop and I got mine with dry Donaldson filter.
  23. Ha that's what I just got.... Love it!
