U-Haul trailers use serge breaks i myself don't care for them at all. every time you decelerate the breaks will come on, a pain to get use to. maybe the newer ones also have electric breaks.. good luck..

if your still under warranty, then definitely take it in. carrier bearing failure are a known issue with 03-04 front ends.. good luck

when did they change the law on LT's and no cats for the visual inspection..

you can't run LT's in CA. due to relocating cats, and O2's from stock location and will not pass smog. best you can do is mid's with a CARB # good luck..
-
i do not care for some of the laws out there, and CA has some real ones. but here are some simple tips to follow.. Chris Rock..NSFW...

as a former Long Islander AWD is the only way to go..i lived on the north shore (Port Jefferson village) and there was nothing but hills and i was glad to have it when it snowed, and when the road were wet. even now living in the high desert in CA, i'm still glad i have AWD due to the snow we get sometimes, and the heavy rain fall..
-
that not uncommon. i know it sucks, but look at it as in your best interest. good luck

this is the best you can do in CA and still pass smog.. they will work on a 5.3 CARB/EO# D-374-3 http://www.bassani.com/part/601500C

when i did mine, after i installed the air box, i started installing the air tube from the TB to the air box, keeping all the clamps louse until every thing was lined up.. also i put a lite coating of dielectric grease on all the rubber connectors to help slide together a lot easer.. good luck
