  1. put a good charge on the battery using a battery charger. then have the battery load tested. you may not driven it long enough to put a good charge on it..check your alternator, should be putting out 13.5-14.5V
  2. check for bad cv joint (s) is there a clicking sound when it happens?
  3. the issue is wheel lifting it, or using a tow dolly..you can use them but you need to remove the rear drive shaft at the rear end. remove the rear U joint after marking it's proper placement, secure the caps to the joint, i use black electric tape, DO NOT remove shaft from trans, then secure end of shaft to frame tightly with a small ratchet strap so it won't fall out or off.. i use to run a med/heavy recovery truck for a tow co. for quite a few years, and never a issue good luck
  4. check your starter relay, you can use your ac relay for testing, you can load the truck onto a flat bed with no issues just put trans in neutral and winch it up..
  5. i'm running the same but in 55's got just about 50k miles on them. i will be replacing them soon with the same..

  10. this has been my desk top since 07...
  11. if i remember, the original OBX headers had the same issues. the fix was to take a 2x4 between the collector and frame and give it a tweak prying it enough to clear the frame. trans lines either relocate or use some exhaust heat wrap around the lines
  12. agree, also with little, to no experience..work at it for 5-10 years then i may consider it..
  13. i have had my Speedster on mine since 04 and no rubbing issues. did you buy it from a dealer, or shipped to you..if shipped call Gaylord and see what they say.. good luck

  15. it should not, but their may be more traffic on HW-58 and 395 avoiding the gaggle f**k on the 15. i have to go thru there 3-4 times a week for work, and completion is about 2 years...
  16. just a heads up for all you SoCal folks, who are planing to go between the LA basin and Las Vegas. on I-15.. CAJON PASS — Get ready for “The Cajon Crawl.” Interstate 15 lane closures that will reduce northbound travel from four to two lanes will take place over five weekends beginning Friday with significant delays anticipated. Part of the $120 million Cajon Pass Rehabilitation Project that will extend the life of roadway surfaces about 40 years, the 65-hour closures are being called “The Cajon Crawl.” The duration will allow for a concrete curing time that provides a longer pavement life cycle compared to faster-curing cement pours, Caltrans said. Lane reductions will allow for about a mile of paving each weekend, moving consecutively uphill from Highway 138 to Oak Hill Road. The closures are scheduled to start at 10 p.m. Fridays starting this week and continuing Aug. 14 and 22, and Sept. 5 and 12. The closures will remain in effect until 3 p.m. the following Mondays, starting this week and continuing Aug. 18 and 25, and Sept. 8 and 15. Labor Day weekend will be skipped this is going to S**K..

  18. using spacers are not good for your hub bearings, axle bearings due to more stress than was engineered for them..
  19. mine was repainted a few years ago due to wind damage. total was $11,000 + everything was removed except doors, and hood..
  20. i paid $1100 for mine back in 04. from a dealer. painted, shipped, installed. still in good shape..
  21. the OLM can not detect what type of oil you use. it is based on a number of factors, heat, load on motor, stop and go driving, highway, and a lot more. it is based on a sophisticated algorithm that is very hard to explain.. i run M1 and if i do a lot of highway driving i can get about 7000 mi before i'm down to 5% left..all stop and go, towing i get about 4000 mi before 5%
  22. i have them on mine since new in 03. mine is a all weather driver, and we have a lot of dirt/gravel roads here, and it does rain and roads due flood with mud..but if yours is a fair weather only driver then do with out.
  23. the door handles look about the same as the Express van i use at work...the interior..
