A quick run down of basic things you need/want would be... injectors..........$250 used fuel pump (inline or tank)........ comes with usually shift kit .............$125ish more with servos NGK TR6 plugs............. $6-$7 a piece Tune.................... $$3-$400 Depending on the kit it should come with most of the things you'll need to just bolt it on minus the plugs, shift kit and sometimes tune. Don't cheap out on the tranny or make sure you have 2k for a new one. Most SS guys are running the Radix and you can find a used one for around $3500 or new in the high 5k range.
  2. I was reading all the posts about smoking the tail lights and so I bought some of the nite shade and clear coat. Then I read about taking apart your head lights and painting the orange turn signal reflectors. I want to do that but dont want to take them apart... what if I just masked off the headlight and smoked the plastic over the orange turn signals? Would this look dumb, should I get off my lazy ass and take them apart?
  3. It is the front o2... B2 Sensor 1... so the lean condition sounds like the issue. I did start to drive it easy until I found out it was the o2. I got a sweet deal on a brand new OEM sensor.. like 15 bucks on ebay... so when I do my headers next week it should be fixed.
  4. When mine went out it started with the needle being really jerky. Soon after that it wouldn't always read the proper speed... then is just wouldn't do anything. It was on and off though.. sometimes it would work half the time.
  5. Yeah I thought it might be something like that but I haven't noticed a power loss. Oh well, the light will go off when I put on the headers and replace the o2 sensor... but until then I'll just enjoy the free mpg.
  6. I had the exact same issue and hoped it would go away... but it just get's worse. You have to get the cluster replaced. Mine was still under extended warrenty and was covered. If you are out of warrenty you can find them "cheap" on line but the dealer has to install so they can switch over all the settings and memory. When I was researching it a while ago I remember a lot of guys having the same issue. I couldn't find a recall though. Hope that helps...

  8. So I used to get about 300 miles to a tank before the gas light came on... ever since I got a check engine light with a code for the O2 sensor.... I've been getting 330-345 miles on a tank. The only think that changed was the check engine light. Any ideas?
  9. I hit mine doing about 15, nothing happend to the casing but the mirror popped out and cracked in the lower left corner. Not bad enough to need a new one fast, but it needs to be replaced at some point.
  10. Sounds good. After doing some searching it looks like the compression is higher than I want anyhow if I'm going to get a blower sooner or later. Looks like it's the cam and TC for now. Thanks!

  13. SWEET! What a relief that is to hear. Any suggestions for a stall? I wanted to go with the yank truck 2600, I'm hoping I don't need to bump up to the 3000 with this cam. Also, I have scene a lot of people selling the double roller timing chain but can't find much info about them here. Is that a mod worth doing while you're in the there?
  14. Alright, I found this Comp Cam used on Ebay in the last minutes of the bidding and won. I didn't have to much time to investigate but from everything I have read it seems like something that will work. Not a bad deal for $160.. I hope. What do you all think? 222/226 .566/.569. 114 I'm N/A but thinking about a radix in the future. Good news please :-) Oh, and can I use the LS6 springs or should I go with the 918's?

  16. I did some digging and while this will fit the B&B the muffler is dual in dual out, so it's said there is enough cross flow in that muffler to even things out. Thanks anyhow!

Looks like if you want Breslin you have to go black oxide. I don't think they will look that bad on the TOG headers since the titanium coating makes them kinda grey. I'd rather put on a bolt like this and have better piece of mind that they won't loosen or leak.. especially with the copper gasket. JMO
  20. Will this fit in with the B&B dual rear exit catback and what kind of gains can you expect from this? I don't want it to mellow out the sound of the exhaust to much, but I am putting on headers next week and figure I could add this in at the same time.

  22. Alrighty, how much for the rear bumper and possibly the drive seat arm rest if you can split it up. Any idea if you can take out the sunroof and homelink?
