  1. Yeah thats what I figured, I want to go radix and stay away from the nos for now. I was reading a lot of past posts that said the GT2-3 is pretty good NA or FI although it would perform much better FI. I was hoping it would be a good deal. Oh well, looks like I'll be waiting for a TR224 instead. Cheers!
  2. Anyone have any idea what a cam like this would do in a N/A SS with light mod's? This seems to have a different grind than some other GT2-3's I've scene but it's going for a good price and I plan on putting on a Radix sooner or later. thanks! LPE GT2-3 (207/220-571/578-118.5)
  3. Do these give you any gains or are they useful if you are NA?
  4. I just got a set of TOG headers and I couldn't find the recommended 608-026 bolts from Breslin so I opted for the 008-026 ones. The difference is the 608 is stainless and the 008 is black oxide. Now of course, the day the oxide bolts arrive I find a vendor that still sells the 608 stainless steel bolts. Should I trade or just keep the oxide bolts? Thanks for the help in advance!
  5. Read this post for the install question.. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26063 I ordered the copper gaskets and beslin bolts so I doubt there will be any leaks :-)
  6. I know that seems cheap considering what they charge at the dealer but thats what GMPARTS has them listed for.. and I am not going to argue if they want to give them away :-) I did happen to find one on Ebay yesterday though... someone got it from the dealer and couldn't install it... I paid $20!!! Good times....
  7. Just FYI for everyone.. the OEM replacement number for our O2 sensors is 12587785. $69 from GM parts. Or another option is the Bosch Oxygen Sensor 03 04 Chevy Pick Up Silverado Part #BS15282
  8. Just FYI for everyone the CARB Number is... 50-state legal - California Air Resources Board (CARB) Exemption No. D-509 Cheers!
  9. How hard would it be to add this in with the B&B dual exhaust? Do you have to remove the cat's or will this just bolt right in? How are these in CA for the smog check? If it's not to hard to self install I'd like to get them.
  10. I'll take the cooler if you still have it..... looking to get the TBTC so I'll need it :-) Let me know.. Thanks!
  11. I know you say "complete"... just for clarification, does that mean fuel systems parts too ( ie : injectors and pump)? Also does the $3500 include shipping or would that be extra and what finish is on the blower? Thanks!

I brought this to auto zone and they told me this was an o2 sensor... nothing to really worry about but I wont pass smog. The part they had was a universal one and they told me I would have to cut wires and it's a pain. Anyone know if this is correct and how much it would cost at the dealership? Thanks!
  13. Nope no check light came on but it ended up being a loose plug wire. All better :-)
  14. Now you're talking. Definatly want the twin's but I was thinking of putting some money into headers and cut-outs too. Maybe even upgrading the trans to a 4l80 to handle the horses.
  15. Last night on the way home down the 118 I was stuck behind some slow moving traffic. I get over and start passing the line doing about 75 and find that the leader is a brand new Mustang GT. As I passed him I could tell he started to pace me so we both hit it. I hate when slow people decide no one can pass them... especially when they are driving pos fords. Anyhow.. from 75 he pulled past me a truck length but stopped pulling around 100. From 100 until my needle was buried I actually started reeling him in a bit. We let off because some traffic was ahead. He dropped back and wouldn't play anymore. I think he was pissed that his brand new Mustang would'nt outrun a truck. I was just pissed he got out in front of me. How fast are those things? I looked over at my girlfriend and said to her, "You see... that's why I need the GDamn turbo"! She rolled her eyes and told me $5000 could buy us new couches and a bedroom set. Isn't that why women have jobs.... to pay for that crap? Men have jobs to buy meat, beer and make there trucks go faster right? Anyhow.. now I really can't wait for the turbo fund to be full.... I can't handle having these little bastards keeping up with me like this. I was actually thinking of getting a car for a daily driver since I put 70 miles a day on the truck... anyone scene these http://www.teslamotors.com/ ? Electric sports car that does 0-60 in around 4 seconds and gets 250 miles to a charge. Not to shabby.
  16. I just went out to check on the signs I could of a head gasket. The exhaust is not smoky... at least not any more than usual and the only thing running out of it is water. There is no loss of collant in the pressure tank and I let it run for a while... there were no bubbles either. There was also no signs for grey sludge or anything on the oil cap.. and the oil seems fine. I'm not sure what else I can actually do here without bringing it someplace. Anyone have an idea what this could be? Thanks!
  17. Everything I am reading points more twards a blown head gasket than anything else. Does this sound right? If that's the case... how much would it cost to fix??? Hopefully not as much as a new tranny. Is there anything fun I can have installed while they fix the gasket if that is the case?
  18. Why is it that something is always going wrong? You can't fix one problem without something else coming up? Anyhow.. last night on the way home I got into a little freeway race with a guy in an older standard cab chevy. I shut it down when I couldn't see him in the rear view any longer and everything seemed fine until this morning. Now.. whenever I am giving it gas the truck feels like it's studdering. I tried putting it in neutral to see if it was the engin and gave it a few rev's but that's working fine. The weird thing is it will do this studder in every gear including reverse... and it's not only when it first shifts but all the way through every gear. It almost feels like the issue everyone has where there will be a pause from a stop before she catches.. but it just does that over and over... feels like its doing a put put put put. The RPM's are not jumping during any of this... and the truck still drives and has power... but something is definatly wrong. I had the shift kit installed a few months ago and there has not been any issues stemming from that so far. Do you think it's the tranny or could it be something else? Please dont tell me I need to get a new tranny or have it rebuilt! Thanks!!!!!!
  19. What is the MPG loss with a new cam and heads? Also, how much do you think a shop would charge for an install?
  20. Im very interested in the heads.. but I'm not sure what's involved with the install. Can I install just those heads and see a gain or would I need other bolt ons? Also, with the headers, will those work with the B&B tri flow dual exhaust? Thanks! Scott
  21. You think???? I mean... on a windy day maybe?
  22. So.. no... there are no class 3 hitches on Summit that are for use with a roll pan. I'll have to look else where... but what a good price if it does fit! Just for kicks.. here is the link to the Street Scenes roll pan on Summit others have posted about. I like the vents.... but it's more money. Summit Street Scenes Roll Pan : Silverado SS
  23. Yeah it is fiberglass... with a white gel coat. This is the only class 3 hitch on the site.. I'm not sure if it works but I am going to ask. Summit Class III hitch : Silverado SS
