I went with no inlay and painted the SS myself, came out perfect!

I didn't like anything at all about that SS, looks like crap.

I never get any compliments, and no one never wants to race me. The last time someone did was a year ago, some kid in a Audi I think. Oh, I should note that I left him back in my dust.

Well I dont want a car, I cant stand sitting low to the ground, guess I got use to sitting up higher the past 12yrs I've been driving a SUV/truck. I have looked at the Masda Tribute and really like them, they are just a tad bit to small for me right now, but they are good on gas miles, I know someone who has one and things its the best car ever made. I am looking for used 03 through 06 SUV's with lower miles, at least the lowest I can find. So far after all I have read up about, the 4Rummer seems to be the better choice for me. The 4Runner is the size I'm looking for and I really like the looks and style of it, and the resale value is the best, not that I would be selling it anytime soon. This is going to be my daily driver, so I dont want a TBSS or anything like that, thats what my Silverado SS is for. The black one I showed you guys I really like a lot, the only problem I can not get over is how many stone chips are in the front bumper, its covered from one side to the other. So I'm trying to see if I can find another one close to that black one or I may use the stone chips as a way to bring down the price of it. But I'm not going to jump into anything this second, I need to be 100% sure this is what I want before I put out the money. Each time I go to buy a new car, sometimes it takes me a few months to know I"m 100% sure this is the car that I want. So far I've been looking for almost 2 months and so far the 4Runner is still in the lead.

How do you like the bed cover? I know the seller that you bought it from. I was going to take it but decided to pass since I need to use my bed from time to time and have no where to store the hard cover when off, so my buddy stuck it on ebay. Cheers.

Well I looked at the Jeep and its nice and all, but its not my style, it seems like its made real cheap and not a good over all fit and finish. Also the inside is very small and the cargo area is a lot smaller then what my Blazer has. Yes I'm looking for a used car, not brand new and I think I'm about 95% sure I want to go with the Toyota 4Runner. I looked at two of them today and found a 05 limited that I really liked a lot, here are 2 pics of it: What do you think? I'm off work tomorrow for the holidays, I think I'm going to stop over and take it out for a test drive and see what they have to say.

Okay, I found something that seems to be a good deal, I just dont know anything about them. I found a left over 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the HEMI engine and NAV. The window sticker is for 41k and they are asking 30K for it, it only has 34 miles on it, still has all the plastic on the seates and steering wheel. According to Jeeps website, this thing should get 14mpg city and 19 highway, think this is true or false? I hate to get something that gets crappy MPG, my current suv only gets between 13 to 14mpg and most of my driving is highway.

I've looked at those Toyota FJ things and I dont like them at all, and they start at 30k, way to much money for such a ugly small suv. I like the looks of the H3 and all, but I cant see myself making that a daily driver, thats why the 4Runner is at the top of the list. I like the GMC Envoy a lot, but I cant get over how it does not have a higher groud clearence. It would be to hard for me to go from what I have now to something that sits lower. On the other hand, I also feel like I'm going to feel guilty with getting something other then a Chevy or a GM made product, I've had GM made cars for a long time now.

I dont usually like the black wheels, but those are sharp as hell looking.

Oh man, I'm very sorry to see and hear this, man this really sucks big time. The weather around here has been crazy the last few days, all you see on the news around here is accidents from black ice. Is your SS fixable? I sure hope so, would really hate to see it being written off as a total lose. Keep us all posted.

I was just curious to know what some of your thoughs are with the cars I'm looking at getting as a daily driver. I was thinking maybe either someone here might have one, or knows someone who does and could pass on their thoughts of it. I am currently looking at the Toyota 4Runner and the Hummer H3, I am also looking at the Chevy TrailBlazer or GMC Envoy too. Now keep in mind, I'm a young, single guy and like to have something thats sporty looking and I like sitting up higher. I currently have a Chevy Blazer ZR2 and I like it and love the ground clearance, but its just to small for me anymore. So I like how the H3 and the 4Runner have a nice ground clearance, and both are sporty looking with just the right amount of space inside. I also like the TrailBlazer/Envoy but cant stand the lower ground clearance and when sitting in it, it feels like something a soccor mom would drive and not some young guy. So as of now the 4Runner is winning with the size and practical use it has and I was just curious to know what anyone thinks of any of the cars I've mentioned and has any feed back on them with thoughs and so forth. Thanks for any info you guys/gals can give me.

I like the looks of the SSS much better then the TBSS. I think the TBSS looks a little funny.

Ya, the feeling is really good. Now I was thinking of getting a new daily driver and have been looking at Toyota 4Runners, but now I'm starting to think twice of it and just save my money and maybe start doing some things around the house and put the car stuff on hold for now. But there again, I really have that 'new car bug'...

What mods are next months truck payment going towards? Its funny you ask that question. I was thinking of getting some chrome rims for the ride. I like things to look stock, so I was thinking of getting stock SS chrome wheels. I'll have to search around here for some, would rather buy off you guys then ebay.

Well as of 10:30am this morning, I officially own my SS out right. God it feels good to be debt free. The sad part is that I'm looking to get a new daily driver now. Oh well.

I seen the remote keyless and cell phone thing on utube a couple months ago and tested it out, and it didn't work. : (

Are you kidding, someone stole both of your mirrors? That is so damn messed up... What the hell on earth is wrong with people anymore?????

I got home from work this evening to see that my passenger mirror folded in some and just thought some damn kid folded it in to be a prick. Well when I walked over to fix it I see that there is paint missing and white paint streeks in the black paint. So some ass driving to close to parked cars some how must of hit their mirror off of mine, would have to be another truck to be able to reach mine. So I called the police just to have a report and said to not bother sending a cop out, but one showed up at my front door anyways. I informed him what I found and he said they got 3 calls stating someone in a white truck was driving up and down the streets going way to fast and one person said the truck almost hit two parked cars, so he asked me if I had seen anything. Informed the officer that I had just got home from work but that there is white paint all over the side of my passenger mirror. So he took a look and wrote it up and said he will see if he can track down that truck and see if my black paint is on that white one and charge them. I dont expect to get anything out of this, nor for them to even find the ass. What is really pissing me off the most is how everyone anymore are just such assholes. Sorry the car is so dirty, have had a lot of snow and rain the past month. But you can see some of the missing paint and now thats what I'm going to see once I wash and detail it in the next few weeks.

Take it no one here is a hockey fan. Anyways, yes Lemieux spent his entire career with the Pens in this city, you would think he would be fighting to stay instead of being an ass. If the teams leaves this city, it is going to have a major impact to everyone. I guess you have to live here to understand what this all means, and I dont think there are many people in the PGH area on this board anymore other then me anymore.

Okay, I think everyone out there has heard of the Pens before. In case no one knew this, Pens owner Mario Lemieux and his parterns are fighting with the city of Pittsburgh for a new arena. After talks for the past 3 months, money hog Lemieux is going towards moving the Pens away from the city. This is such total BS, after what all this city has done for him, he turns his back on us now. You dont have to live in Pittsburgh to know the Pens go with this city. This so pisses me off that Lemieux is trying to fight by moving the team. Your lucky. My factory warranty runs out in 14 days and I'm not sure if I should pay the cash to extend it or not, thats why I was curious to know how yours has held up.
