  1. Fits this thread better at the moment:

Good idea man. Only problem is I think this is one of those things where you get what you pay for comes into play. IMO, it what look kinda cheap on a "fancy sports truck". I personally like the smaller details like the beveled edges and inlays. The "pin style" emblems sound like more and more of a good idea the more I think of it too. Unfortunately a laser or water jet can't achieve those things. I'd still like to hear others' opinions on this though and maybe some pics?

  3. Thorough as always Steve

If you get a compression test kit at Sears or Harbor Freight, you can use it for the leak down if you remove the schrader valve. Sometimes 50 psi isn't enough to detect a leak. If you remove the rockers, slowly regulate the pressure to about 110 (the motor will turn to bdc on each cylinder you test) and listen for leaks. If it is a lifter, the heads still need to come off and you can also visually inspect the heads.

  4. Let's see some pics :smash:

I'd be a bit worried of someone taking a nice set of $150 SS emblems off my truck with a Piece of fishing line. Did you design them with pins that go into the door or for adhesive mounting? I know pins require drilling, but they shouldn't ever have to come off.

  5. Seems Abear went outta business :sigh:

They would take some searching for if really wanted until another company starts making a similar good looking product :banghead:

What kinda budget do you have for these lil goodies Mr. Big Money Baller?

Other need to be mentioned goodies: TB upgrade, manifold, pushrods, springs, tc, and hanging scented pine trees to cover the reek of you being in a shit hole :jester:

  6. Are the subs 2,4, or 8 ohm dvc? Pay attention to the way you wire the subs and amp. Pushing more rms to the subs with more than adequate airspace will cause them to blow. I learned the hard way after going through a set of L7s and wouldn't wanna see you have any problems. Besides, they'll sound better underpowered than overpowered. Should be a kickin system tho man

  7. Tony (Norcal SS) can help you with all your lowering needs and questions. You don't have to replace the keys for a little added drop. Just crank them down. If you do want them, stock keys from a 2500, also known as purple keys to some, will lower you more and are usually cheaper. If you want better ride quality, 3" drop arms are also another option.

  8. Anyone with access to a CNC willing to start producing some SS badges in different finishes and the Super Sport emblems I designed a long time ago?

I'm guessing it was either forgotten about or KIKINSS has been really busy :dunno:
