  1. Thought I'd share some pics even tho it's not a truck. Lifted it 2" with keys and aal's (managed to drag on past midnight with help from Bud Light), new Bilsteins all around, MT Baja MTZ's, added the chrome gas cap and grille guard, and a Volant. Then went and got it a bit dirty and a little bit stuck trying to see what the little 5.3 in it could do. Im not a big fan of all the chrome, but when I do his custom exhaust, headers, and maybe a few other goodies, I will like it more :driving:

  2. ya I'd like to paint my amber reflector black. I actually have an excuse to now. One of my parking lights is getting moisture in it. Wat does cyber.grey look like?

Robbie (supecharged06ss) had rims painted cyber grey in his sig and I believe eventually did his ducts too before he sold the truck. It's the dark grey metallic that can be seen on zr1's.

  3. I bought mine back in 03 from a company called Meccatune. Ballasts are still good, but I've gone through bulbs. I had 8300k and they looked like none other. There is much debate over it, but truth is the heat and mix of gases can be changed to produce a variety of shades of the standard temps and colors of hids. I changed from 30000k purple, 8000k blue, but miss my 8300k the most and I can't read the Japanese website :banghead:

  4. Cyber grey would still stand out and look better with all black than the factory IMO. I would prob lose the headlight covers, but to keep the blackout theme, do the corners in the lights black or maybe get the aftermarket ones with the black in em.

  5. Remove the bezel and pull out the cluster. Check for loose wires and a good connection. Did it do it before you replaced the cluster? Maybe the person who opened it up messed something up inside. If it were the BCM, then I would think the other interior lights and features would have similar symptoms. If it didn't work at all, I would be more suspicious of the BCM.

  6. Glad to see you're getting it rebuilt and don't have to shell out more cash. That's more money for other mods.

Zippy does have a point. I and most haven't had good luck with the 4l60, but I have seen them hold up a good amount of power and abuse in other vehicles. Even the 80e's break, and they are pricier when built, not to mention the extra work, time, and money it takes to do the swap.
