  1. You would have to find out if the mounting and wiring is the same first. If they would mount the same as the stock SS seats, the wiring would have to be tackled. If you're lucky, all the plugs and pins would match up, but I doubt it. You'd have to cut and splice harnesses I'm guessing. Then getting the cold air from the a/c would just require some custom ducting.

I've never looked into this, but I'm guessing this would just be the case. There might be another smaller blower motor in the caddy seats too. Not sure tho. I like the idea of a/c'd seats, but I don't like the look of perforated seats in an SS. If someone is willing to give me some caddy seats, I'll try it and let everyone know what is really involved :jester:

  2. The SS has coil packs and doesn't use a distributor. A set of NGK plugs and either MSD or Taylor wires is what you wanna look for. You can pick the plugs up at the local auto store and order the wires online so you can find them at the cheapest price.

  3. Welcome from another Floridian

I looked into the ASEP program too, but decided I could just take the tests to get my ASE's from my experience. Good program tho and hopefully you can get placed at a good dealer and start modding up the truck soon. Reading through here will make you want to, thats for sure.

How bout some pics of the ride :pop:

  4. I would not rebuild your truck because it would have a rebuilt salvage title. If you need a work horse type truck, then I can see why you would look at the duramax. But you wouldn't want to owe money either or have to pay outta pocket if you don't have to. The SS does have it's set of issues, but that goes for every vehicle. The dmax will cost more when something goes wrong and oil changes are more pricey. You have always wanted an SS, I think now is your chance man. You don't wanna kick yourself later if you don't.
