  1. haha yeah dude had a SUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPEEEEEEERRRRR SLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW take down! But he did seem to have a little ground game, looked like he was going for the arm triangle choke, then got the kimura haha. funny vid for sure
  2. Welcome to the site Mike! - Man there's a lot of mikes here haha AK04SS, if you're hauling, you probably don't wanna go lower than 2" in the back. If you're looking for a mild budget drop that wont affect the stock ride much, turn the torsion bolts down in front and do 2" shackles in the rear. Shackles range anywhere from 60-100 bucks online. Or if you want, i think a few shops sell them in town for 80-120. If you go this route, I can help you with install as I have done it before. We just need a nice warm garage. You'll kick yourself in the ass if you pay a shop to do it once you realize how easy it is. Unless you're in a rush to get it done i guess... Matt, I say chrome in the summer, silver in the winter. The road salt will take a toll on the chrome for sure after a while. Do you do the installs on the c10 yourself? I've always wanted a 68-72 C10 to work on! Aksss, did you buy that SS with the turbo on it already? Because I know there was another sts truck that some dude got into the low 14s with or something not too impressive so he built up the motor n tranny only to sell it later? Not sure if its the same truck but I worked with the owners friend and he was telling me about it. Either way, good luck at the track! I hope to make it and see ya run! 10zin, whats good bro?! Haven't heard from you in a while. How's the truck? Ever get that daym turbo on? And yes, I love AK summers! The scenery and weather makes up for the shitty winters haha As for the meet, I can't do anything till probably after April because school is really kicking my ass. Plus I hear its supposed to snow next week too so its still gonna be cold as shit! Daym you winter... Anyone know of any body shops that are good with fiberglass? I was thinking of cleaning up the roll pan cut outs myself but if I can find the right shop I'd rather have them do it haha
  3. Thanks guys no definitely isn't a street scene. Those are made for the regular silvy n sierra and won't match up with the ss cladding. I have some obligations so I will surely take newer, hopefully more professional quality pix soon. Thanks again!
  4. So, aside from shaving the gate and roll pan, I've been getting loads of questions and picture requests regarding my exhaust tips setup mentioned in my sig... I actually got everything finished last summer, but I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to share em just yet. Don't take it the wrong way, I just wasn't completely happy with the way some things turned out and even stopped driving the truck for a while because I was so frustrated with the outcome haha. Plus no good camera = no good pictures... But recently I figured, what the hell, I do have an iPhone that takes pretty crappy ones and i guess some of you have been waiting long enough haha... So here is a sneak peak of things to come summer of 2010! I wanna give vdrumright credit for being the first to attempt this set up as he was the one who made me realize that just maybe i could pull off such a feat haha. Now let me tell you... Even if you design something yourself and have someone else execute and fabricate it... It is still VERY expensive haha. Lets just say my tips cost a little over a grand after all was said and done. Now keep in mind, these were hand made, not CNC like I had originally planned.. As you can kinda see, I decided to have the tips come out just a bit because I wanted them to "stand out" instead of flush. But my original exhaust guy had a really hard time trying to get the tips to line up right because the body shop guys didn't exactly make the cutouts of the roll pan perfect... And I'm a perfectionist so you can imagine my disappointment after years of planning and designing something that was supposed to work haha. This actually put me in a slump for a couple months where I didn't even wanna look at the truck, let alone drive it... To the average person the setup may look fine, but like I said, I'm a perfectionist. So come summer time, I'm gonna tackle this project again and perfect it myself, along with a couple friends. Oh and another sneak peak for this summer: Daym I never knew how big these things were! I'll keep you guys updated this time
  5. 75-80% of building is your diet. It doesn't matter if your 112 and taking the best protein in the world if you're burning off more calories than your taking in. Sure you'd get tone from working out, but you wouldn't really gain much mass. If you're trying to lose weight, you're gonna wanna burn off more calories than you take in. For gaining mass, you want to lift heavy with lower reps. If you wanna tone down, its the opposite. As for supplements, understand that pre and post workout stuff that contain nitric oxide and or creatine causes your body to retain water. So if you're supposedly gaining 10 pounds in a week, it's probably mostly water weight. Don't believe me? Don't take the supplements for a week and i guarantee you'll lose what you gained as fast if not sooner. I've tried SuperPump250, NOxplode, and jack3d and they all work good at first.. I got the best pumps from SP250 but i get immune to it quick. NOxplode just made me feel really hyper and cracked out haha. Jacked comes in way smaller servings but works just as good. I didn't get as good pumps from it though... Be advised that most pre workout stuff make you retain water and can cause diarrhea if your body isnt used to it haha. There are ton's of different kinds of proteins. Whey and cassien being the best known. They both serve different purposes with whey being a fast protein (quickly metabolized) the anabolic and cassien (slow) classified as anti-catabolic and is used to slow down the protein break down. Weight gainers pretty much just have a crap load of calories. Like i said, if you wanna gain, you gotta take in more calories. I could go on and on but... I wont haha
  6. just had to say you guys crack me up haha oh and if he gets banned for standing up... ban me too! just don't ban my IP...
  7. I've been here since 04 i think... and I've witnessed a lot of the stuff this site has gone through.. from AZFASTSS' beef thread with the lightning/dakota RT guys, Lee's anti-Dylan sigs ;P, GEAR M UP's passing, the supposed 10 second SS that everyone knew about but never saw, and Chase's truck transformation haha. Anyway, this whole controversy thing about the rules and all has been brought up numerous times. Hell, back in 04 there were already talks amongst the senior members that the site wasn't what it "used" to be.. and that was in 2004! We're in 2010 and the site in my opinion is still running strong! I understand that all things must be somewhat controlled and there is a time and place for everything. Hence why there really should be sections for touchy subjects that way sensitive people don't stubble upon them unknowingly... But I TOTALLY disagree with the whole worst forum thing. Have you guys even been on any other forums besides here, GMFS, and PT?! Try import forums! Geez Us Christ THOSE are bad! but I guess fishsticks are great, til you have lobster... What one has to realize is that at the end of the day, this is the internet. Things will be said that others won't like. If it bothers you that much, learn to tough it out or stay off the web. And if you're gonna give someone crap about acting like a child or making inappropriate comments, uphold yourself to the same standards you speak of. Respect goes both ways. That goes for members AND mods. A special title doesn't make anyone better than another and it definitely doesn't give that person the right to be an ass or go on little power trips. If anything, that special title should give reason to act more professional. If you can't man up, step down. It's as easy as that. But to those who are actually trying to make this a better place, thanks!
  8. make sure ya aim them so they don't blind people
  9. Does this include EVERYTHING needed to make it work on our trucks?
  10. Any updates? I'm lookin for a set too and was wondering how much his are..
  11. Daym bro sorry to hear that. But seems like you've already got the right attitude towards things so just keep it going and you'll get through it all just fine. Like you said, you've got a great support group and even though I don't really know you, I'm really glad to see you're being optimistic about ya whole situation because not very many people have the ability to handle it the way you are. Just keep your head up because its times like this that make you stronger -jv
  12. I'm looking for a full set (8) of 60 LB fuel injectors to use with a vortech charger. I've read that it won't be a direct replacement but as long as the necessary tweaking isn't too much of a task I think i can work with it. Otherwise, just let me know what else is needed. Thanks guys!
  13. I've talked with the product manager of belltech and he told me the aftermarket keys are pretty much pointless if you're just wanting an additional inch. He said the stock keys can provide you with that, plus there is no difference in alignment between the two methods. Like slammed said, look into the alignment kit as you will most likely be out of spec. As for the rear, make sure you mount the bumpstop directly to the frame without the mounting bracket. This will give you a little more travel. In addition to that, you can trim off a nub or two. If you find yourself bottoming out even after that, you might want to look into a c notch. Also, if you're going that low I highly suggest getting new shocks as running around with compressed shocks all day can and will end in something bad. I speak from personal experience haha. If you have any more questions, just let us know.
  14. pretty sure i've seen the truck around a few times too. or just a black ss with the same drop and tail lights haha. Anyone know how to install a vortech supercharger?
  15. What's everyone's truck plans for the spring/summer?
  16. If only this was polished!!! Still a great price though!
  17. I was gonna throw my stock tires on the 20's and sell them this summer but if ya want the tires, i can probably sell em to you.. I don't quite remember how much tread they have left on em but I did run them for 3yrs, year round before i got my blizzaks and 22s.. Let me know if ya want em and we'll figure out a fair price. But craigslist does have some good stuff every now and then. G'luck!
  18. i'm not feeling the carbon fiber body.. its too much, or not enough.. Just doesn't seem like the right amount of cf in my opinion haha. Buhdazz either way though!
  19. you know what really sucks matt? When my truck gets dirty like yours then spends the night in the garage for the dirt to bake on. Now THAT is a b*tch to clean haha
  20. Dang Mike, better wait for Brody to get that plug in haha. How big of a place are you looking for?
  21. 1.7 hrs for one plug?! hmm... something doesn't sound right haha. Wouldn't it be cheaper for you to rent the tool that you need?
  22. you forgot the "E"at the end... just kidding! thats just how i read it everytime I see "HO" stickers haha. Nice plates
  23. Does 700 include the "SS" in the liner? and does it include the suede inserts? Because I know a place that'll suede headliners for 200 if you take it out and reinstall it yourself... I did my own pretty much for... less than 30 bucks?
  24. John at Kreative is a cool guy. He did my leafs and spindles for cheap. I wouldve done em my self but I didnt have the tools or time haha. Mike, what are you trying to get done at Underground?
