  1. I have heard of this pill that gets rid of gas.... http://www.beanogas.com/
  2. I believe the current system, we have is wrong. Rewarding people who break the law (crossing the border illegally) with jobs is just unethical. On the other hand, my in-laws in Mexico cannot vist me legally, because they are poor and don't have large fixed assets to assure their return (to the satisfaction of the US Government, anyway). It also creates an under-class of people who are abused in terms of wages and benefits. I have nothing against folks who want to come to the US, work hard and make a better life for themselves, which is what most illegal immigrants want. But too many industries are addicted to the low wages that they can pay illegals and they lobby for the status quo. My solution- First we would have to clean the slate, and offer some sort of amnesty or "work to become a citizen" option for existing illegals. It is only fair to folks who have worked hard at crummy jobs for many years. Enact large penalties to companies that employ illegal immigrants (from any country). You can get rid of the supply by getting rid of the demand. To keep the industries that want the low-wage labor happy, a kind of guest worker program that would allow people to earn citizenship by demonstrating they are hear to work hard for a new life and willing to learn English, have no criminal record, etc. Now it becomes easier to police the border and catch the true criminals sneaking back and forth with drugs and such. I am sure this is not a perfect solution either, but it is a lot better than what we have. I suppose the best solution would be to get the Mexican government to stop ripping off it's own people so much. The corruption there perpetrates poverty that makes risking your life to immigrate to the US look good. As for the walk out today, I think it is bad. It will probably scare a lot of average Joe's and assure a backlash.
  3. What are you going to use it for? Regular Photoshop is expensive. PhotoShop Elements is reasonably priced and does what most people need for home photo touch up and adjusting.

  5. I am not sure I want any codes stored in my seat module Geez there is a whole computer just for the seats? I need to get a service manual one of these days. Not having a wiring diagram is bugging me.
  6. If you send the graphic to me via email, I would be glad to host it.
  7. Just in case anyone from GM is lurking around here. This is one of the things that Ford is doing to keep that "something special" aura around their SVT vehicles. And just because someone else is doing it does not mean it is bad to do something similar !!!! SVT really goes all out to their customers that "exclusive club" feeling. It really helps build the image for SVT and I belive that image helps sell regular Fords.

    Annoying Chime

That's happened to me too, but they do come in handy once and a great while for me ( more frequently for the wife ). In your case Lee, you ought to find the fuse for the heated seats and pull it.

    Annoying Chime

Yup, what we really would like is a volume control for the chime. (anyone from GM listening?) But I will settle for getting rid of it.

    Annoying Chime

This actaully works!!!! No more chimes for the doors. Now I just need to be careful not to lock my keys in the car . A long time ago, I learned to keep a spare car key in my wallet, so I won't worry about that too much. Remove fuse panel cover Loosen the instrument cluster bezel by pulling on the corners and then the middle parts. This made it easier for me to get the knee bolster out. Remove the two screws that hold the knee bolster. Pin and clip that hold the top of the knee bolster in place. Knee bolster comes out by pulling outward (directly towards you if you are sitting in the drivers seat). Knee bolster removed. The colored wires in the center of the pic are the connectors to the BCM. The connector on the right is the one you want. I had to pull the BCM down a bit to get the connector clear of the big chunk of metal under the steering column. Remove by putting small screw driver under gray plastic clip on the underside of the connector. Once free from the BCM, remove the gray clip with small screw driver on the two places where it clips to the blue connector Green wire in the lower left is the one we want. (took this pic after the wire had been removed) Coming at it from this angle finally worked for me. Notice that I chewed up the blue plasctic a bit, it seems to be rather soft plastic. Once remove, Put some electrical tape around the bare pin. Reassemble in reverse order (I have always wanted to say that ). Be careful that the plastic pins are in their holes before you hammer the instrument cluster bezel back in place.
