    Chck Engine

    Check your gas cap?
  3. I agree with ShortBus, we would need to know what kind of riding you are (or think you are) going to be doing. Probably too much information, but here is the fire hose if mountain bike info mtbr forums mtbr bike and equipment reviews I bought a new bike back in June, and I was amazed at the specialization that has occured since I bought my last bike, back in 95 (yeah I like to get my moneys worth out of my wheels ) The Scott Voltage looks like what they call a Cross Country Hard Tail. You may want to check out Ibex bikes, if you don't mind buying online. They make a hard tail called the Alpine Alpine I got a full suspension Cross Country/All Mountain bike called the Asta Comp with Shimano LX for $900 Asta
  4. Awwww.... I was almost finished with my add-ons
  5. Yeah, those gauge pods are designed to slip over the existing pillar cover. Too easy for you, I guess
  6. Adding a supercharger won't "void" your warranty. The dealer and GM may decide not cover a problem that they think was caused by the supercharger, but there needs to be plausible connection between the supercharger and the problem.
  7. You know, I usually hate graffiti, but I'll make an exception for this one
  8. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he meant Lobe Seperation Angle.
  9. Pure nitrogen is too expensive. I use 78% pure nitrogen, it is a lot cheaper and works great.
  10. I dunno, something just not right about stealing parts from mom...
  11. On my 03, the door placard seems to be talking about some other tire. I found 32-34 PSI to be about right on the stock tires.
  12. Try this, with the trans in neutral, throttle postion at 50%, engine will spin at some RPM, lets say 5,000 RPM and manifold vaccum will be high. Now try it again, in drive, same throttle postion, engine RPM will be considerably less due to the load of accelerating the truck manifold pressure will be low or in boost. Think of boost as the air that can't get through the cylinders fast enough because of the difference in RPM.
  13. Engine RPM vs throttle position. With no load, the RPMs are higher, for a given throttle position. With the engine flowing so much air, no boost will build. It is the same reason the manifold vaccum stays higher when reving out of gear vs in gear
  14. I had my SS weighed at the track. With a 1/4 tank of fuel, the extra weight of the supercharger (80-100 lbs?) and the BedRug, and no driver it came out to : 5238 lbs total 3163 lbs front 2075 lbs rear
  15. This guy has a book on how to swap out the 4.3 V6 for the SBC V8 of your choice. www.JagsThatRun.com I was tempted for a while with my old 91 S-10. It is a real tight fit, takes a thin radiator, special motor mount adpater plates and a bit of moifictaion to the firewall with a really big hammer Of couse, that isn't enough for some guys. This guy added a Vortech supercharger to a 350 V8
  16. You gotta pay for it, but ZoneLabs has Firewall, Anti-virus and Spyware programs all rolled into one, and I like it so much I dumped my free Symantec anti-virus only sw from work.
  17. They seem to put SS stickers on everything in Mexico. Took this picture in Guadalajara. I never knew there was a Ford SS
  18. Well, with such an open ended request.... I would start with a Radix Check the site sponsors to see what kind of deals are going on.
  19. 50,000 Radixed miles and the completly stock transmission is holding up fine. I do have a vette server that I have been meaning to install, but have not got around to it. Yes. Stock exhaust here. Yes. It comes with everthing, you don't need to mess with the tune to get it to work right. It just does it's thing, right out of the box.
  20. I could use one of those to take care of tail-gaters
  21. Justin, Looks like you were traveling a little lighter than I was I was worried I might not have enough gas left to get back out of Kings Canyon That road really sucks the gas up 4-6 MPG with the trailer.
  22. Do I have any other pictures..... have a seat while I get out the slide pojector Kings Canyon at the Roaring River trailhead Hiking past Roads End in Kings Canyon Kings Canyon Yosemite from an overlook on the Upper Yosemite Falls trail Me and my better half at the top of Uppser Yosemite Falls This is what is just behind us. Just a trickle of watter going down the falls this time of year Meadow near Camp Curry, looking towards Yosemite Falls The Royal Arches, and Basket Dome The always photogenic Half Dome
  23. Got back from my two week vacation driving the SS to Kings Canyon and Yosemite with our "new" 1996 trailer. Sure beats tent camping this time of year, you can sit inside with the heater on, sipping hot chocolate, and look out the window and watch the tent campers shiver as they try to keep the bears away from their food We drove 1,340 miles, averaged 10 MPG. I am sure glad gas prices have gone down recently. Got 3 MPG going up the Grapevine pass But I could go at 60mph with no problem (55 MPH speed limit in CA for cars with trailers). Some how, we managed to get a trailer with a matching blue stripe Yosemite Falls would be in the upper left if there was any water this time of year. Here is what it looks like from the top of Yosemite Falls, after a steep hike.
  24. Towing can be a complicated subject. There is a lot more too it than just the tow rating. Try reading up here : RV Towing Tips This link lists the SS as having 7,500 lb towing capacity (max weight of the trailer). 2003 Towing Guide.pdf This is designed around RV use, but can help you out with all the weight calculations. Towing Weight Demonstrator.xls I find that with a 5,000 lb trailer, I am running out of Cargo Carrying Capacity on the truck itself before I run out of towing capacity (weight of the hitch, tounge weight of the trailer, weight of the shell, passengers, fuel etc add up) I am using the stock receiver (I got the factory towing package on my 03 SS) and a Reese Strait-Line Dual Cam weight distribution hitch. The weight distribution system only seems to make a minor difference as it feels ok with out it, but it has a great anti-sway system integrated with it. Happy Towing
  25. 03, you can change the fuel filter without removing the fuel tank
