well, I got my tune from Frank. He and Zippy have looked over my logs and we are on the trail of the P0300. Frank got me a fair price on my pod and gauges.. my boost is not hookedup yet, I have to find some vaccume line tomorrow. I must say that Frank is VERY professional, fair, and doesnt leave you hanging. Even Zippy, whom I have yet to meet face to face, is helping out spending his time checking my logs. I am very happy to have found this site, and the people on it are awesome. Frank, the truck is running awesome right now.. i dont see the SES light yet, but Ill know tomorrow morning on my way to work if it does it while Im driving on I80 and want to pass a slow semi. Frank Rocks!! he's hookin me up and fixing the SSS.. Ill be very happy when I finally have all the issues solved, and can take it to a body shop to get the bumpers repainted!!!

im waiting for my new MSD wires to come in, then ill see if that solves part of the problem. the other problem is a suspected bad fuel pump, and im getting a dual pod pillar with a fuel pressure guage in it .

id go back and say how you feel the sales guy was tryin to rip you off with the price being higher than they had it listed for. tell them you'll buy it for 20,000 , but only if they give you one hell of a warranty.. otherwise you will walk away and never come back.. there is always another SSS in the world for sale.

i just rechecked the plug wires.. 1 and 3 were loose.. very loose. I pulled the metal socked thru the rubber boot to adjust it and its way out of whack. i adjusted it as best I can, but those two wires are bad. after this, i re ran the truck, i got a solid SES light, and now I can see the engine surging just a bit at idle 500 RPM looks like it will surge to about 600 RPM.. not a ton, but you can notice it. I put a load on it on an empty side street, and the SES flashed. I got off the gas, and it went solid again... but when I had it under load, it didnt feel like it was chugging. it would be nice to be able to walk in to a parts store and just buy 2 wires.. but no, i gotta buy all 8 65 bucks for a whole set here http://replacement.autopartswarehouse.com/...e%20Set&dp=true

ill call you tomorrow and i can drive out by you and we can check it out.. in the meantime im going to do the plier tighten trick on the wires first.

odd thing is the tech called me and said the wires kept falling off. i was like WTF?? then he said the misifre followed the cable when they switched cylinders.. same thing i heard last time. so when i get it home, ill take a pair of pliers and tighten the boot, then see if it acts the same. im also going to file a complaint via thier website tonight.

this is my 2nd set of wires for the same 'problem' the dealer sad I had. these wires are only about 2 months old, and I had the same problem from the minute i replaced them. Frank at Rev Race Works scanned my PC while we went for a ride and saw fuel issues, not electircal issues.. we are 99 percent sure its the fuel pump.. im thinking the dealer just doesnt want to fix the issue.

it was 215 total to have them put the wires on, 98 for the actual wire set, and the rest is in labor (1 hour). 98 dollars for a set of plug wires is outrageous.. id rather pay the 115 diag fee, and get the problem fixed elsewhere, then recoup my money by calling the owner and bad mouthing service.

those got swapped out in august durring the onset of the problem when the first crooked dealer tried to blame everything else. im so pi$$ed off right now i cant even express it. now i gotta pay 115 dollar 'diganostic fee'.. im gonna pick up the truck, pay my fee, and then complain to the dealer owner like I did last time and recoup that money. furthermore, im gonna take it to another dealer on a day off when I can get to MI and find the real cure.

bill jacobs chevy in Joliet , IL 2nd time its been in for the misfire, and once again they are tryin to tell me its my plug wires. brand new duralast #4713 wires, and its them thats bad?? they want to soak me for a 98 dollar set of wires.. 215 in total cost.

this unit ive had for over 7 years. works GREAT, but i want to get a 57 inch widescreen, so I want to sell this one. new they are 700 to 800 bucks, Ill sell mine for 500, but you must pick it up. its 260 pounds, so I cant ship it. im in joliet, IL. its a fantastic tv. but i want widescreen, otherwise Id keep it.
