  1. Yes sir, plug n play. All you would need to do is take your truck to any GM dealer to have them flash it to your truck's VIN to deactivate the Theftlock feature
  2. Both head units are still available
  3. OEM Nav Unit w/ GPS antenna and map disc - pulled from my Dad's 2006 Avalanche LT, excellent shape, no button wear - $350 shipped (PayPal fees included) OEM 6-disc Indash CD changer - pulled from my 2005 SSS, excellent condition with only minor button wear - $100 shipped (PayPal fees included)
  4. I have an OEM 6-Disc in dash changer radio from my 2005 SSS and also an OEM Nav unit w/ antenna from my fsther's 2006 Avalanche LT
  5. Thanks guys! I'm stoked to own one again, I feel like my "truck guy soul" is finally whole again, lol I forgot to mention I also ordered a Black Bear Performance AutoCal tuning kit which I still need to data log for and get the tuning files sent in... My short term goal is to go through the truck from end to end and clean her up and fix every little nitpicky issue I find! My long term goals are to build this truck up to the levels I had my previous SSS @ when I sold it: Volant CAI, Dynamaxx LTs, Corsa Sport, Radix MP112 (however this time around I'll go TVS1900!)
  6. Hey guys, not new to the site but finally back behind the wheel of an SSS again! Originally owned a black 2005 AWD that I ordered new from the factory in May of 05, took delivery in July of 05 and, very regrettably, sold in August of 07 in order to reduce my DTI so I could buy a house (worst decision ever!!!)... Well about a little over a month ago, after years of keeping my eyes out for a potential replacement SSS, fate intervened and I was fortunate enough to cross paths with another SSS,com member who was looking to unload his 2005 SSS quickly for cheap since it had a brake line failure and needed some TLC. So I flew down to MD from MA, inspected and lot drove the truck, made the deal with the seller and arranged to have the truck shipped home... So far she has received: Dorman SS brake hardline kit, Goodridge SS braided softline kit, Stoptech red powder coated calipers, Stoptech slotted rotors, powerstop carbon ceramic pads, Belltech street performance shocks, Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza tires, MSD wires, NGK TR55s, TA Girdle, 200amp Alternator, Big 3 wiring upgrade, Optima Redtop battery, Lund Genesis Trifold soft tonneau cover, rebuilt gauge cluster w/ blue LED upgrade and Escalade bezel, new belts, belt tensioners, Mobil 1 fluids, WIX filters...oh and I had an Inalfa 925 sunroof installed as well
  7. I just had the Dorman SS line kit installed on my 05 SSS by my Dad's trusted mechanic (I have the capability to do it myself, what I lack is the time when I work 50-60 hours a week and have 2 daughters under 2 running around @ home!) but they look awesome and the mechanic said the fit and finish is excellent for the price. He replaces these line kits on at least 2-3 NBS trucks a month and had previously done the lines on my Dad's 2006 Avalanche Z71. I had a Goodridge braided SS softline kit and new calipers/rotors/pads done at the same time and truck stops quite nicely now compared to what I was used to with my old SS and my Dad's Avey!
  8. BlackBear is another option, located in San Diego if you don't mind a road trip!
  9. Are the Belltech Street Performance shocks recommended for an AWD SS at stock ride height or do you need to be lowered to run them?
  10. Like the title says, looking for the complete Corsa Sport catback Kit for an SSS as well as the Volant CAI w/ the bumper Air Duct scoop kit. Figured I see if anyone on the site was getting ready to sell their's before I drop $1200+ to buy them new from an online vendor...
  11. Front and rear shocks or just the rears? Are the fronts needed/recommended with this kit? You can PM or text me as I'm definitely interested. Thanks, Dave 77four 277 786three
  12. Look for the passenger side view mirror (complete assembly), front license plate mount bracket and the tailgate handle bezel. Please text me pics and prices shipped to 01606 Thanks, Dave 77four 277 786three
  13. What condition is the passenger side view mirror in? Can you text me pics and price shipped to 01606? 77four 277 786three Thanks Dave
  14. Thanks for the advice guys, all the research I've done getting ready to ship the truck has left me scared as hell about the process to be honest. However the broker I found came recommended and has great reviews online and the actual shipper they hooked me up with, Black Mustang Transport Inc, also has good reviews. Sooooo hopefully all goes smoothly and I warned the broker, the dispatcher and the driver all that the brake lines are FUBAR and the truck can only be parking lot driven at low speeds. The seller will be there in person to oversee the on load tomorrow and my father is going to meet the shipper at the delivery to supervise the offload. Truck should be picked up after 4pm EST tomorrow and delivered sometime on Friday so we shall see how it goes, fingers crossed!
  15. Thanks guys! Truck really is in great shape, can't wait to get it roadworthy again. Having a shipping company lined up to pick it up tomorrow from the Dealership and get it delivered to my mechanic by Friday! Ofcourse now the biggest problem I have is how quickly this truck is gonna vacuum out my wallet because the mod bug has already bit hard. Gonna stick to basics for now: I/H/E, tune, 160 T-stat, TA girdle and convert everything to Amsoil fluids...
  16. I'll end the suspense and announce that I'm the one who pulled the trigger on this truck last Thursday night and flew down from MA to MD Saturday morning to meet Joseph, the owner, inspect the truck and complete the sale and title transfer. Overall truck is in great shape and the underbody was in far better shape than I had anticipated knowing it had a brake hardline failure, just the typical surface rust on the frame rails and rear axel but from what I could see of the fuel and brake hardlines everything looked better than average for the age, mileage and location in the "rust belt" so I am very happy! Ironically now the biggest headache I'm dealing with is trying to find a reliable shipping company to transport it from it's current parking spot to my mechanic's garage up on Cape Cod so if anyone knows of a shipper, or even better has a HD/Diesel truck and a trailer and wants to make some cold hard cash, please let me know as I want to get the truck transferred up to Mass asap to start working on making it roadworthy again. And before anyone asks, the Chevy dealer where the truck is currently parked had quoted Joseph $4800 to do all the repair work needed to get it back on the road, which is highway robbery and there was no way in hell I was going to pay that price. I have the tools and skills to do the work myself, just not the free time currently with a very demanding fulltime job and two baby girls at home to look after when I'm not on the clock at work, sooooo that's why I'm shipping the truck to my mechanic... I guess I could offer the job to someone local to Silver Spring, MD if anyone does this stuff for a living as I'm always happy to support local small businesses and that would also allow me to just drive the truck back up to MA myself so if anyone wants to toss their hat into the ring, let me know that as well! Very happy to be rejoining the SS Owner's group after an almost 10 year hiatus since I sold my 2005 in August of 2007 (worst decision ever!)...
  17. TTT, no "legacy" owners left out there that are looking to part with their garage queen? Did I miss the bus completely? Have all the original owners that were members back when I first joined and still owned my truck (2004-2007) left? This is getting depressing...
  18. TTT still hunting guys/gals! Please lmk if you see/hear of any trucks listed local to you, thanks!!
  19. Thanks so much! Really appreciate it, thanks and so do I!! Outstanding, thanks for the tip about this site!
  20. Anyone know this truck or it's owner? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=151615556256
  21. In July of 2007 I made the hardest (and also turned out to be the worst!) decision of my life which was to sell my 2005 Black SSS AWD so I could afford to buy a house (we all know what the housing market did 6 months later ) and I have regretted that decision ever since! I have wanted to get back into an SSS ever since and am finally in a position financially where I can pay cash for one if I can find the right one! Ideally I want to get another black 2005 AWD w/ low miles, leather and digital climate control (chrome stock wheels preferred as well but not a deal breaker) but the market seems to be extremely light on 2005 AWD SSS trucks and the few I've found are either high mileage or RED . I'm hoping the SSS.com community can help me in my search as national online searches like Autotrader haven't turned up many leads either so if anyone knows of one for sale locally or, even better, has one for sale (would love to buy a well cared for truck off another forum member) please, please, please let me know! I will mention that I am not 100% rigid on a 2005, I will consider 2003/2004 in Black (possible blue as well!) so long as the truck is clean, mileage is low (an aftermarket sunroof is a big plus too!). I should add that I'm interested in trucks with clean title history, carfax reports and coming with verifiable service records as I am extremely anal about the care of my vehicles and any vehicle I purchase I'd like to be from someone who shares that same sentiment. I travel all the time for work so I'm willing to go anywhere in the country for the right truck and definitely want a rust free truck that was either a garage queen up north or from south/west somewhere. I hail from the New England area so I'm already going to have a big enough change keeping the truck I buy rust free so it would be great to have it start out that way at least! Thanks in advance guys/gals!
  22. Like the title says, I have a brand new, never installed CHROME SS badge and a chrome "supercharged" badge from a Holden Commodore (very nice, compliments the SS badge perfectly). I these on my black SS when I had it but I obviously only needed three and had to purchase two pairs of each badge, so that's why I have the extra set. *Just for clarification, I bought these badges 3 years ago from a vender on eBay so I have no idea if he/she is still in business. Additionally, this is a package deal, I will NOT separate the two badges!* SOLD!!! I also have a MINT condition driver's side door heated seats control module with harness intact that came out of my wife's 2005 Tahoe (we had the door panel replaced and the new panel came with a brand new module installed, so I salvaged the module out of the old panel). It also has the controls for power adjustable pedals. $20 shipped
