    Great minds think alike!

i love it...her soon im ordering my 026s...dont care if theres 20 members on here that havem..guess ill be #21! i think there the nicest rim for the ss so far....

I say go for it, for the price and quality they're top notch!

looks very good sets your truck of nicely!!!, now i know what my truck would look like if it were the slowest color. :jester:

hopefully adam see this so he will buy a dam cowl hood already.

Yeah he should throw something on there to finish off the front end, but you know red is always the color you always see passing up these blue, black, and silver SS trucks :driving:

You might want to move the picture that is on the right side. I have a 21" monitor and still can't see the entire screen.

Lol, I didn't even now it was out there to the side, sorry :D

  2. Here's a clip of my new exhaust setup. I heard this setup on Adam's (Adams2003) truck a couple of months ago and really liked it. The only difference is I'm running TOG headers instead of his Pacesetters.

I'm N/A, but it is pretty loud with the cutouts open, so I can imagine those who are F.I. or have L.T. headers it will be plenty louder as you've heard Chase's truck. It's also nice and quiet when they're closed. Enjoy!

This vid is of them doing an elaborately choreographed dance on treadmills. Pretty cool if you ask me! Must a took a long time to get that thing choreographed!

  4. Link- Big oil rakes in historic profits

Here's some food for thought that I learned today...

"4 of the 5 largest oil companies have recorded profits for just one quarter totalling 30 billion dollars."

"Profit up 75% to $9.9 billion. That's the second-most a U.S. company has earned in a three-month period, a USA TODAY analysis of data from Capital IQ found. It's greater than the annual gross domestic product of entire nations, including Niger, Zambia and Iceland."

"After paying the bills for the operating costs of running oil refineries, and gas stations, 400,000 employee wages, from April to June 2006, "Big Oil" took in more than 280 million dollars a day to the bank. Up 39% from last year's profits."

"And what are the people who are making this money doing with it? Buying stock in their own company, which is likely to render shareholders and executives richer because buybacks help raise the value of the stock and bigger dividend payouts in the end."

In a statement, Exxon CEO Lee Raymond defended his company. "We acted responsibly in pricing at our company-operated service stations, and we also encouraged our independent retailers and distributors to do the same," he said.

I just ended up paying $78.00 to fill up my tank of gas at $3.31 a gallon premium and worked a 40 hour week! What a bunch of B.S.! :puke:

"By the time you end up finish reading this post, which is about a minute, "Big Oil" will have made about $250,000 per minute, more than the average income of a household for one year."

  5. anybody see gas improvements with dropping weight on the truck, spare tire, hitch, and bumper?

how bout those that put 22's on any difference in gas mileage?

14.1 mixed driving here w/ 22's and no bumper, hitch and spare.

couldnt tell ya with the 22s, kinda put those on with the 408, turbo, etc etc....but yes i blame those damn 22s for the gas mileage :jester:

i'll take that kind of gas mileage anyday!

  6. I was wondering if anyone here who owns the SSS in Silver did any mods to their truck? Maybe added new wheels or a supercharger perhaps a new hood. Anthing.

I've had mine for over a year and it's still completely stock. I'm curious to see how it looks modded. So if you do please post some pics for me.

    Thanx.

once you start modding it's gonna be hard to just to stop at one thing, then before you know it you're dropped with 22's on the truck (check sig), lol. and that's just exterior, engine mods hurt the wallet the most!

  7. hey guys

i am in the process of getting my goodmark cowl induction hood on soon and was wondering where you guys got your cowl induction emblems from? i've seen some on online- Camaro Cowl Induction Hood Emblem Set, 1967-1969 , is this what everyone has used or are there better ones out there?

i am lookin for ones that have the double sided tape and not the ones with studs because i don't wannna drill the hood? or is that the only way to go, thanks!

Sorry for not answering the PM, I have been wicked busy lately.

Those are the same ones I have. I bought original GM ones at a swap meet.

They had the pins and tape, so I cut of the pins and taped them on.

no prob thanks for replying, those look good, hmm. so i guess i can get the reproduction ones and just remove the pins-studs and just tape em on. so how are they holding up? thanks again!

  8. Search Autoguy.  He has them.

i tried pming him put he hasn't responded back yet? :dunno:

i used those same logos from the camaros, and in between the cowl and induction i put the 66 impala SS logo with the two flags.  I'll post pic of it later.  need to take a pic first.  Got everything from classic industried, all metal, for about $50.  I agree, it looks to blah without logos there.

that sounds good, did you have to drill the hood or just use double sided tape? some of the emblems comes with studs but i was thinking i could just dremel those down and use the double sided tape.

  10. that's a nice clone, has anybody painted the black trim on their side mirrors yet? this guy's all yellow mirrors looks good?

    Hows this for example?

My mirrors are done as well but it's hard to tell in pics since it's a dark color.

    772146_100_full.jpg

wow nice truck , how easy was it to paint since the black trim is not so smooth and rough?

so any part of the truck got black on the exterior except for the window trim rubber? i'm tryin to get rid of all the black on my truck after the bumper is replaced w/ the rollpan.

  11. any of you guys watch Survivorman on SCIENCE and DISCOVERY CHANNEL? that show by far is my most favorite show right now. :thumbs:Survivorman, Wikipedia- Survivorman

"Les Stroud abandoned in a remote location. He carries little more than the clothes on his back – and his cameras. Les not only needs to survive for a week without supplies, but he has to film everything himself, lugging over fifty pounds of camera gear the entire time."
