  1. the Superchip Programmer can diagnose trouble codes, so you don't need to go to the dealership to check the code.

as far as tuning goes, i would reccomend going with a custom tune like Zippy or PCMForless in order to get the most out of your truck! i had a Superchips Programmer and the custom tune that I have is like night and day, it's so much better!

  2. Might want to do some research before jumping ship:

    http://www.latimes.com/business/investing/...sting-headlines

GSM network is way to crowded right now and its only getting worse. T-mobile, ATT/Cingular, and a bunch of mom and pop operations are sharing the same network. You need to get on a provider that has a proprietary network + CDMA backup IMO.

IMO switch over to Sprint, I had almost 10 months left on my Nextel contract when they merged and I was able to migrate over to Sprint, get the new customer discounts, and all I had to pay was a $35 activation/migration fee (plus the upgrade cost to the Treo 650) They gave me my wifes phone for free and a bunch of other discounts for switching over.

:withstupid: yeah i switched over from nextel to sprint and the service with sprint has been 10x better than with nextel. best part is when you switch over you have 15 days to try it out and if you're not happy you can switch back to nextel and go the Cingular route. sprint and verizon roam on each other's networks (both are CDMA networks) so it's like getting the best of both networks if you decide to go with sprint!

  3. lookin' good , have you done the ebrake bypass so you can watch dvds and enter navigation points while driving? or can you do that already with that head unit?

i have it bypassed. can't have "the man" holding me down lol.

sweet , did you just ground the wire or are you using a switch to turn it off and on? that's what i got setup for mine right now.

You do know PAC makes something that bypasses the brake without a switch, etc. right? It's only for Alpine and I have it for my D310.

yeah i know i have a pioneer and there's a green wire that runs to ebrake to check if it's engaged, so i just ran a switch in between with a ground to toggle it off and on just in case i get pulled.

  4. hey guys,

i know this is a :chevy: forum but just to let you know the Dodge Challenger will be back in 2008!

link- Chrysler to produce Dodge Challenger muscle car

"Chrysler did not say how many of the cars it expected to build per year or the targeted retail price. Dodge sold about 188,600 Challengers in its original run and the new car will be produced for the 2008 model year in 2008, Chrysler said."

"...The car had a 425-horsepower Hemi engine, six-speed manual transmission and a listed top speed of 174 miles per hour."

They also mention the Camaro concept may come to life too- "General Motors Corp. (NYSE:GM - news) also is thought to be likely to bring back its Chevrolet Camaro after a prototype inspired by the 1969 version of the legendary muscle car received a very warm reception at the auto show in Detroit as well."

Definetely a nice lookin' car!

  5. For my setup I'm using this flip down license plate bracket, from stylin concepts.  License Plate Bracket  I have a set of the lighted license plate bolts from stylin concept.  Lighted Bolts  I found a license plate frame on Ebay that said Silverado SS to finish it all off.  Here is a pic of it.  Its dark, but you can read the Silverado SS part.  Hope this helps.

cool thanks for the pics, thats probably what i'm gonna do with my setup, but i'm now gonna be running a hidden hitch so i might not get the retractable license plate. thanks again!

  6. This is my set up.  I got the 60" Recon Hyperlight off of ebay for $30 shipped.  I was just on ebay and saw a few of them on there for fairly cheap.  Just another option.  I am also thinking of upgrading to the Fire and Ice light bar.  That one is awesome.  Here is my pic of my Hyperlight and rollpan installed.  I got an adapter from Advanced Auto to plug into my trailer hitch wiring, which I moved to under the truck, so that its hidden now.    Hope this is what you were looking for.

that setup is bad@ss , that's exactly what i've been lookin for, what are you using for your license plate setup? i'm lookin to get the this one- http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.aspx/pa...8/categoryid/25, thanks

  7. I got a different named one from Autozone since I didn't want to deal with an internet company on something like this (for returns/etc paying return shipping can be a bitch). It is the 60" one you need though.

Is the line of fire one 4 function (tail lights with the headlights on, turn signal left, turn signal right, and brake)???

How does the Line of Fire brand attach to the truck??? I've had some trouble with the double sided tape on mine (again, can't remember the brand name) and had to replace it with some 3M double sided from Home Depot (the MECCA of hotrodding in my book, LOL!)

Edit, BTW, I just got the adapter for the hitch wiring since I won't be towing for a while after putting the roll pan on... Plus I need to save up money for a snowmobile before I worry about towing anything anyway. If you tow anything, it's probably better to hard wire it...

yeah the these ones got em' "They function as your running lights, brake lights, and left and right turn signals."

do you have any pics of the leds w/ your rollpan on? i'm still going forward w/ the rollpan and wanted to see how it looked w/ the leds. thanks

  8. Big Thanks to Adam for selling me his TOG's Headers this past weekend.

Was on my way down to San Diego and made a quick stop in Moreno Valley at around 10:00 p.m. and I was still able to pick up the headers at his house despite it being very late already. Very cool guy and even showed me his garage full of toys and even took a ride around the block in his truck! Man, what a beast with that new exhaust, that thing sounded badass!

Would buy from him again, highly recommended and very professional! Thanks again Adam!

  9. talk about short shorts... these are short shorts (and these are from 1999!)

I'm not sure what's scarier. The pictures, or the fact that you have an autographed picture of Richard Simmons.

hey man don't mess with my role model buddy! Richard Simmons is a great inspiration to all of us today! :jester:

Funny Vid of Him on "Whos Line is it Anyway?"-Richard Simmons on "Whos Line is it Anyway?":smash::smash:

    OPINIONS!!

Being the creator of this thread- I've ended up going for the "McGoofy's Kit". Overall, I am very happy with the setup. No vibrations at all and the ride is as close to stock like before. Here are the pics of the drop- http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...topic=22970&hl=

  11. Holty,

I am actually in the process of going the opposite way! I've got dual 40's right now and I commute about 45 minutes everyday and the drone in the cab is too loud. So I'm gonna throw on a Corsa Sport soon.

The dual flow's are loud at WOT and has a nice rumble at idle, and I'm not even F.I. like you. So it'll be even louder w/ your setup.
