  1. good job, i don't even know who you did that and blended it in so well, what tools did you use to blend in the street markers into the sky, "burn, dodge, sharpen"?

anybody remember the photoshop thread on another forum where a girl is riding on a back of bike showing her thong, and then from there everybody photoshopped that picture to hell. that was hilarious!

  2. What size tires are you running? By the way the truck is looking sick. Those wheels are sweat especially for the price you can get them at compared to other 22 inch wheels.

size tires i'm running are 305/40/22, these wheels are really well made and the finish on the chrome is real nice for the price compared to other higher priced 22's.

  3. The truck looks good man! I'm proud you got the name "McGoofy" correct because I would have changed it if you didn't

yeah, i had a feeling you changed the title when i looked at it again. so i might as well use the "right" name cause' i know you'll change it anways lol! :jester:

Looks great man.  Damn I really did set a trend over here. :D

yup, i'm even getting parts from your truck to go on mine just to be like you! haha! btw, have you figured out when you're getting those headers off yet? thanks

  4. looks good, but a replica dylans/adams truck. those rims have become quite popular. How are the hangers/shackles set up and did you get any vibrations(aroun 65-75)?

yeah i know, i'm just trying to live up to my idols, lol. i couldn't pass up the deal on these wheels so i had to get em'. so far, no vibrations while driving, but the when going over bumps on the freeway you can really feel it! i think i may need to cut the bumpstomps one more nub. i only cut the first nub of each bumpstomp.

Thanks to Adam (adams2003), Steve (Mister P) for helping out with the drop. If I didn't have you guys' answers the install would have gone to hell! Here's the pics, Enjoy!:

  9. thanks for the reply guys,

hey chase i was reading in another post that you had several TOG headers layin' around, are you sellin' them? :jester:

so far we don't know if asm's are ca smog legal, and the bellangers are probably not smog legal, right. man what do us cali guys do for headers?

I have a set of TOG's on my truck right now that I may be selling in the near future. :dunno:

sweet, if you could let me know when you do take them off, i'll gladly take them off your hands!

  10. thanks for the reply guys,

  11. hey there guys, i was just reading on asm's website: 1999-2005 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L GM Trucks and SUV Headers that their headers are now carb legal. i am in california and need to pass smog. are these headers mid or long tubes?

what are your experiences with these headers and are there any headers better then these that are smog legal. i know TOG's headers are no more, but am willing to get a set of used ones if anyone has a set lying around! thanks guys.

  12. Not sure if this is news to you guys but i was reading: GM to Cap Gasoline Prices in Calif., Fla. that GM will be giving rebate incentives to those who buy their vehicles.

"...General Motors Corp. on Tuesday said it would cap pump prices at $1.99 for customers in California and Florida who buy certain vehicles by July 5."

"The offer is good for 2006 and 2007 model year vehicles. In California, eligible vehicles are the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban sport utility vehicles and Impala and Monte Carlo sedans; the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs; the Hummer H2 and H3 SUVs; the Cadillac SRX SUV; and the Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick LaCrosse sedans. In Florida, eligible vehicles are the Impala, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix and LaCrosse."

"GM will credit drivers the difference between the average price per gallon in their state and the $1.99 cap. The credits can be used through December 2007. Consumers wouldn't get any credits if gas prices fall below $1.99."

"Each month for one year, GM will give drivers a credit on a prepaid card based on their estimated fuel usage. Fuel usage will be calculated by the miles they drive, as recorded by OnStar, and the vehicle's fuel economy rating."

The only catch is that you have to pay 16.95 a month for the Onstar Diagnostic Service after the first free year, which isn't all that bad when you add everything up.

Last time I checked 87 octane gas here is 3.37 a gallon, so with the 1.99 difference, that's 1.38 a gallon GM will give you for each gallon you pump for that month.

Might be a good time for me to consider trading in my old 90' 4Runner for a new Yukon! :dunno:th_68635_yukon_ext_fnt3qt_lrg.jpg th_68698_yukon_ext_rear3qtdrive_lrg.jpg

What do you guys think about the new promotion GM is trying to sell. If all goes well they might consider giving the promotion to other states soon after.

  13. i remember watching vids of parish launching his truck with 4wd first, then shifting to 2wd. it was amazing how that truck pulled off the line in 4wd.

also, how bout' those that are pcm tuned, does using the tow/haul mode make any difference?

    -ejay

Thats a good question, I'm gettin my PCM from bryan in the mail tomorrow! I wonder if the tow/haul mode does change much?

yeah, my tune is from bryan at pcmforless and was wondering if his tune includes the tow/haul and if it changes the tune at all.

  15. hey guys,

should i get my pcm retuned by bryan at pcmforless because i am going to replace my dual exhaust flowmasters with a corsa sport exhaust system soon. is it worth it to send the pcm back for a 50 buck retune or should i just keep the same program. thanks

  16. yeah it sucks that we have no impact sensors on the truck, are there any aftermarket alarms that allow you to keep the "1" and "2" key fob functions that are on the factory alarms. i like the fact that my seat adjusts when i hit the unlock button on the key fob.
