  1. anyone have any insite on this?? anyone?
  2. well since this is the second cluster I have to buy, I was wondering if anyone has put in the escalade gauges? I like the look, but my question is, how is the backlighting at night? does is match the rest of the dash lights? thanks
  3. It costs money in labor to hit all tte correct wires depending on window switches, heated seats, extra sirens, battery backup etc. We usually charge $25-$50 per addon module in labor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats about right and it adds up quick. I would guess with all the stuff on my truck. the motorized toono cover, windows, heated seats, I would say 900-1200 of I were to do it for a customer
  4. you can find better prices that crutchfield, but with all of what they give you, it is really the best option for people. you will get a kit to fill in the viod of the extra space that is open when you pull out your radio. the install is easier than you think on the radio. steer clear of Best buy. go to a local MOM and POP shop and have them do it. they probably wont ground your parking brake wire. and frankly, dont even ask them, just do it when you get it back from them. when people ask us to do it we throw weird things in the mix, like Diodes/relays/ reisistors just to confuse them so they screw things up!! yeah we are pricks!! as for your subs. you can ask your local shop as well about this.
  5. start/alarm install for 75_100 bucks? can I hire you? we charge 225 labor for just the unit. not including the modules needed. the 457G will be the onely piece that you need. one wire are the ODB connector and you are done. easy to do. it will do locks, passlock, lights, and factory alarm disarm and arm. hope this helps.
  6. It can NOT void out your warrenty. there was a law passed back in the late 70's that states any aftermarket equiptment cannot void the manufactures warrenty. otherwise aftermarket companies would not be in business. IF the dealership finds your install to be the problem or the equipt to be the problem without a reasonable doubt then they can make you pay. the Magnusen Moss act is what this law is called. you can google it and read it for yourself. good luck and get us pics when you are done.
  7. It sucks to see someone go out of business man. especially with a line up like that!!! great brands at great prices here guys and gals!!! BUY IT UP!!! wish I had the cash I would buy it all....
  8. On a Kenwood, just ground the green wire. or you can toggle this to ground if you are worried about gettin pulled over. but I didnt tell you that.
  9. Gm has been putting 4X6's in the back of there trucks for years. shoot even the early 2 door extended cabs have them. they are 4X6s trust me.
  10. paint the things. not a big deal. clean them up real good and spray them with SEM spray dye to match your color. call it done.
  11. the rear doors are a 3 inch speaker on a 4X6 plate. Junker Bose!!
  12. 6.5 inch in the doors, tweeters in the A pillars, and a "4X6" in the rear. its actually a 3.5 inch in a 4X4 plate. there is a sub int he center console too. I think its a 6 or 7 inch speaker. thats all the speakers I have found and I have had it down to metal... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> where is the 4x6?? theres a sub?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> sorry meant 4X6 in the rear. as for the sub its below your center console forward of your cup holder. under them two pockets. a pita to get out.
  13. 6.5 inch in the doors, tweeters in the A pillars, and a "4X6" in the rear. its actually a 3.5 inch in a 4X4 plate. there is a sub int he center console too. I think its a 6 or 7 inch speaker. thats all the speakers I have found and I have had it down to metal...

  18. what you want for just that amp?? let me know in a PM!
  19. I was gonna post the same question with another question following. Are you gonna need to have the factory alarm removed or disconnected or will you have to carry the factory and 2ndary remotes with you? And if so are they gonna set each other off? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont know how the installer wired it up... But I dont carry the old fb and never had the old alarm go off... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> generally with any alarm in our trucks it requires a PLXR bypass (for factory installed Passlock systems) and 455u or 555U (I've been drinking tonight) for bypassing key in ignition to start <{POST_SNAPBACK}> good thing you have been drinking . if you use the PLXR you will need the 555L for the key. or you can use the DEI 457G to do everything, control the factory alarm, does locks, dome light and the passlock interface.
  20. on your ALpine unit you have a blue wire and and blue wire with a white stripe. You have the blue wire tied to the blue wire of your scosche interface, you need to change it to the blue with white stripe out of the alpine to the blue wire on the scosche interface. If you want an explanation here it is. the blue alpine wire is just for putting a power antenna up and down, since you do not need the antenna while playing Ipod or Cd's this wire turns off when switching to these other sources. chevy, and all manufactures, use the blue wire to turn on the Bose amp. well when you switch to these sources the amp is not on. get it? have fun!
  21. I am on my 2nd speedo. stuck at the same place. there is a guy on Ebay rebuilding them. sucks that I am out of warrenty... 300 bucks shot in the a$$
