  1. I like the photochop a lot better than the original but still not the truck for me. The rear just looks huge with that bubble but design. The front bumper is almost as tall as the front tires. With mods the new design could grow on me but the original is just fugly .
  2. plus add a zippy shift kit.
  3. dry time seems to vary. Directions say 30 min to an hour, maybe longer depending on humidity(sp?) and temp. Funny how the directions also say 30 mins even if you add zfx. It seemed to dry within mins. Crazy how you pay $20 for the zfx micro-mini bottle, but worth it I guess. I do love the shine. Worth every penny
  4. Ok. I got the wife's car and my ss done this past week. I read the directions for adding the accelorant(sp?) to the z2 and z5. Instructions said to let it cure for like 30 mins. Is this correct? I think not because when I went to remove the z5 it didn't look like it came off very well. The car really didn't look good at all. I had to rewash it and use the clay bar again. After that I used the polish again and started removing it after I applied it to the whole car. The accelorant(sp?) made the polish cue almost instantly. I applied a coat of z2 then z6. Then I applied another coat of z2 and z6. Now the car looks awesome. Just wondering if I did something wrong the first time or if the intructions are off. Why use the accelorant(sp?) if you still have to let it cue for 30 mins? Zaino experts please chime in
  5. washed the wifes car late last night so my pics didn't turn out good. I'll take some pics today when I get home. It really saved her car. Zaino really made the car shine. I tried some other stuff before that worked ok but it didn't last a week. Zaino made the car's surface smooth and slick. It didn't fill in any rock chips but I didn't expect it to. The clay bar removed most of the paint she got from a door ding. If I had worked on it longer I'm sure it would have removed all of it.
  6. What happened to that truck? So many things just don't look right. What's the deal with the back bumper? Half chrome, half black. Front end is all messed up. No Tahoe look just a big fat front and rear. The truck looks like it needs to go on a diet. A luggage rack on a truck . Glad I'm going tp payoff my ss and keep it...forever. Guess my next vehicle will have to be a new vette. Can't imagine what the SS version will look like. Probably weigh 7,000 lbs and have a LS2 in it. It'll need it just to get around. Maybe it will grow on me but who knows.
  7. 1998 Honda Accord ES V6 2 door coupe. It can remove small scratches and swirl marks caused by washing. z5 polish is suppose to fill small cracks and scratches but I haven't used it yet. I say it's worth the money.
  8. good deal. By this time next year I plan to add the SC. Got to finish some house projects first.
  9. I'll try to wash the wife's car and post pics of it. Her car is black and got 2 coats of z2 and z6 and it looks awesome. A guy at work ask her if she got a new car.
  10. Used zaino on the wife's car last week and used it on the truck. Only put on 1 coat of z2 and z6 but it still looks damn good. Here's the pics: Pic 1: Pic 2: Wife's Car: Wife's car and my DD on driveway to be paved tomorrow
  11. I've never bought a car off eBay, but shouldn't be too much trouble. Check the sellers feedback. Make sure they have been selling for awhile and you could even email some past buyers to see how their transaction went. Just look in the sellers feedback and click on the buyers who left the seller feedback. You should be able to ask them a question if you want to. Good luck with the purchase
  12. At least it was you who hit your truck. I got a spot on my driver door from somebody else at a local golf course about a year ago . Nice little scape where the golf ball took a bounce and hit the botton of the door. Of course I never found out who did it. I doubt the SS will ever see that golf course again
  13. I've bought from their store but not the web. They have a shop in Lexington, KY called trailblazers. Not a bad shop and about the only big shop in Lexington.
  14. I'm installing my dynatech headers soon and the instructions have me lowering the cross member. Does this HAVE to be done? I plan on putting the ss on jack stands and removing the front tires so it's easy to get to the headers. Seems like most just use a step ladder instead of putting the truck on jack stands, but the jack stands method seems to make it easier to get to the headers. If I have to lower the cross member I'll have to leave the ss on the ground. Need some advice on the install ASAP. Thanks, Jeremy
  15. do you have a link to the eBay auction you won? I would like to see if the seller has any more for sell.
  16. take pics. I would like to see some shots of the install. A TBTC is in my future so any pics and tips you post will help me a ton. Are you adding a trans cooler soon after? Most I've read say it's good to add a trans cooler after adding a TC. Good luck
  17. Hmm, in my experience, big talkers are just that: big talkers. I do understand where your coming from though, I'd be upset/worried if my gf got a phone call like that, especially if the guy she was previously involved with was part of a bad crowd. Keep us posted. Hope everything works out! Chad <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seems like 90% of the people who talk sh!t are just all talk. I also agree with mr.p. Get to know here more and find out what type of person she is and don't piss her dad off lol
  18. Hey zippy. I sent you a pm with a possible solution. Let me know what you think.
  19. Ok. So you have HP tuners and your saying it's hard to tune since I have EFILive. So if I save over your HP tuner file to my EFILive format it might not convert the settings exactly as you have tuned and cause problems? Just need to make sure because Brian at pcmforless.com was using HP Tuners last time I got a tune from him. I might have to take the time to learn EFILive a lot better. With my business, baby on the way and other stuff I'm working on, I have no free time at the moment. I've got 1 license left on my install. It came with 2 and I've only used 1.
  20. way to stay calm. I don't know if I could have done that. I tend to lose my temper at times. hope you get it worked out.
  21. I would rather buy a used one since I don't know how long I will need it and I really don't want to be responsible for oweing someone a new one if anything were to happen. I appreciate the offer though! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll ask the wife if they have any bad TB's laying around they don't need. Her company makes the part for GM for our trucks. She's a Senior PLT(product line tech.) over a couple TB lines. UPDATE The wife can't get any. Sorry.
  22. bump. Anybody with the dynatech headers set know what size bolt the collector(sp?) uses?
