  1. They are great...no trouble with them at all. ...but I lost 1mpg when I put them on. TireRack.com lists tire weights, if you look under "specs". If I recall...the stock tires were around ~40lbs, and the ATR's were close to 8lbs heavier...PER TIRE. - Brian
  2. They look good...but are heavy. They are more 'square' on the edges than the stock Goodyears. I hev them on mine, but I don;t think I have any pics where you can really tell. ... Here's a pic I noticed in the "Pics of black SS's thread" that is active right now - - > - Brian
  3. PM'd you about the wheels...I'm very interested. - Brian
  4. Oh, and in Orange Park...there is "HP Performance". They are a big Ford shop (helped some with the turbo Ford GT build). They do HP Tuners, but only street tunes.
  5. "Stage 6 Motorsports" are great guys...they are just getting into "HP Tuners", for a customers (big!) turbo'd Yukon. They have a 4WD dyno, so they can tune...however, they did say that they'll never do another full-size truck after dyno'ing mine! Too much hassle to get it into the bay, strap it down, etc...hehe. Anyway, they have done a ~1500rwhp twin-turbo Ford GT, daily driver...basically, they know their shit. Check out their work on their website: http://www.stage6motorsports.com/ ... If you call, talk to Dwight...tell him Brian with the red SS sent you. - Brian
  6. Don't know the correction...I'm used to DynoJet's, for my track car. I assumed it would be on the print-out, but I guess not. EDIT: And yes...they used a weather station to plug in the variables. ...and these were 2nd gear pulls. We were a little afraid to get to the wheel speeds that 3rd gear would hit, since it was such a tight fit on the dyno. - - - However, a friend did about 20rwhp higher than anticipated, with his 240SX. Made 266 at 7psi - Normal would be about 245 or so, at that boost. - Brian
  7. 291awhp, 320awtq...on a 'Dyno Dynamics' AWD dyno. There was a local 'dyno day', so I decided to strap the SSS on there, and see what it made. Took a TON of prep top make the runs safe...a full size truck is a little too long, even with the dyno fully stretched out. The front wheel was only on the front roller, see here: http://www.ka24development.com/file_images...-off-roller.jpg ... But, we got in on there...added 7 straps to keep it in place (!) ...and did a couple pulls. http://www.ka24development.com/file_images.../SS-on-dyno.jpg ... Here's the chart: ... Seems to me...a little high, no? For a truck with no tune? I expected 275-280awhp. MODS: Dual Magnaflow's (2.5") with a custom X-pipe AEM intake Electric fans ...that's it. ... Discuss.
  8. Towing my street/track car to Road Atlanta for a HPDE. (FYI - U-Haul trailers are HEAVY!) - Brian
  9. Nice...I'm a 240SX guy myself...I bought the SS as a daily driver, and to (occasionally) tow my S14 to the track (road course, not drag strip). My KA-T setup is at ~338rwhp at 12psi right now... Are you on any of the big 240SX forums? I frequent FreshAlloy.com, and Zilvia.net. Check out my website for info on my S14, if you're interested: http://www.KA24DEvelopment.com ... Enjoy the SSS! - Brian
  10. Sounds like the fuel pump...like someone already mentioned. For info and such... http://forums.freshalloy.com is an AWESOME Nissan forum. Tons of good 240SX info (my cup-o-tea...I'm a moderator on there)...but there is a Maxima forum. Hopefully they can help you diagnose and fix it. ...and you will get 200k out of it, with proper maintenance. Easy. - Brian
  11. You guys need to understand...the guys that build those cars, are like the hardcore punks of the US. Kinda like outlaw car gangs... It's a non-conformist kind of thing...they do it to be ridiculous. And loud. And obnoxious. Calling this "rice" is like calling the Hell's Angels a bunck of sissies. ... Search the web for "bosozoku" and you'll find more about it...some will be motorcycle gangs, but the car guys like the huge, tall pipes...the external oil coolers with exposed lines, etc... - Brian
  12. Here's something similar, "live and in color"...hehe. It's an in-car video of a Mitsubishi Lancer IX top speed run...they hit a seagull @ ~180mph: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5451104304739512452 - Brian
  13. A TON better. However, one of my rears was LOOSE...as is, I could move it in and out by hand, it had NO resistance. it was DONE. So the rear is especially better...but the front is MUCH improved as well. These are GREAT shocks...Bilstein is top-notch...no doubt about that. - Brian
  14. Since I'm a nice guy, and working at home today...here's a pic I just snapped: That's the trick...everything else is VERY straightforward to install these. 10 minutes for the rears...20 for the fronts. - Brian
  15. Just did my Bilsteins on Monday... To REMOVE the stocker - Use a 5/8" wrench on the bottom of the upper collar for the front shock...it'll keep the shaft from spinning, and you can use a regular socket to remove the top nut. ... To INSTALL the Bilsteins...use a crescent wrench on the flat tab up top...with a "ratchet wrench" open end to tighten the supplied 17mm top nut. Easy stuff, you'll need nothing other than a jack...and the wheels can stay on. ... OH...one other note: A 13/16" or 21mm open end will make removal easier. The rear bolts, top and bottom...are this size. I used a large crescent to hold one end of the large bolts in the rear...and the lower nut/bolt on the front. If I had a larger open end in the right size...it would have been easier and quicker. - Brian
  16. One of our 3 cats, named Gidget. She's a little fuzz-ball...and has some disorder where she can't really walk that well sometimes...and misses (overshoots) jumps ALL the time. She's a 'special needs' cat...maybe it's all the drinking? --> ... ... How she spends the hot summer days here in Florida: - Brian
  17. 650SX is an OK ski...kinda squirly to ride. I've ridden and worked on a friends 750SX a lot...they are solid, reliable skis...that's for sure. Stand-ups are GREAT. I wouldn't pay more than $1200-1500 for a 650SX, though...even with really low hours. - Brian
  18. For the money it costs, you even get a mexican day-laborer to shift the gears for you...!!! Hehe..."Manuel" shift...
  19. Just to confirm...he died b/c he was NOT wearing a life jacket (PFD). Sucks...such a simple thing to do...one zipper and a couple buckles and this guy would be alive. I have a waverunner (i.e. jetski), and they are looked at in a bad light b/c of these accidents - I have YET to see one where someone died after falling off when they were wearing a life vest - But I have seen article after article of "Man dies after jetski accident"...where the fact that wasn't wearing a vest was buried at the bottom of the article. - Brian
  20. You can order one online from Advanced Auto parts - GO here: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductList.as...erpentine+Belts Enter you zip...then select your year, model, etc... ...and get one shipped to you. -Brian
  21. Mine did. If you get the one they say is the correct one for an SSS...it'll bolt right in. - Brian
  22. Looks good...but...PAINT THE BOW-TIE BLACK! - Brian
  23. Has it been hotter than normal? The stock fan has a heat-activated viscous clutch...so if it's hot, it engages...and it's LOUD. When it's cold...the blades spin slower than the motor...less airflow, MUCH less noise. - Brian
  24. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! I'll take two, please.
  25. I'm normally not a fan of any billet on these trucks (I like the monochromatic look)... ...BUT...on the Silver Birch, with polished wheels...that looks great!!! - Brian
