  1. There is nothing in the VIN thiat id's it as a Judge. If the first three of the VIN are 242 then it's a true GTO. If all the hardware is there, RA induction, spoiler, stripes, ect then more than likely it is. Or contact PHS (Pontiac Historical Services), and they can give you a full breakdown.

  2. All I can say is welcome to the site, you've made a great first impression. :nono:
Comments like the one that he made is not something a mod should have done, imo. Mod/admin should be held to a higher standard, and yes I am one on another forum, and have been for several years.

Thats the problem...About 2 years ago maybe less the admin made topic that if you were interested in being a mod send them a PM and they will send you an application that willbe reviewed and voted upon and then like the next day we had a new mod that literally just joined the site ( i nor anyone else go this app we were told we would get)..Kind of kicked a bunch of us in the nuts...No grudges against the mods named..not thier fault..we/I feel a postion like that should be open to everyone and anyone and voted upon by the members of this site who CONTRIBUTE and a visible/accessable member.

I used to contribute alot to the site..BUT I will admitt over the past months I have felt kind of pushed out and turned off by the politics in here..being called a child by one moderator and basically a bitch by another kind of leaves you wanting to contribute.

It was kind of a slap to the face to alot of us that have been here for quite some time. I also offered up my services before they had people "apply", but got no response.

Any mod who would call someone a child, or a bitch, and engage in that kind of behvior/banter should be stripped of their mod rights. Like I said above, mods need to be held to a higher standard. You are essentially the police of the board.

  3. Good question. I don't know. :jester:

Seriously, start by taking measurments of the bolt pattern of the mounting points, and see if they match to what he wants. I can't imagine they changed the floors that much. On my old 91 I went from bench to buckets, and all the holes were there for the bucket seats. They were just packed with a sealer so they wouldn't leak, but no drilling required.

  4. I have been getting my deliveries at normal times. But the big thing here is that it seems like just about everything I order gets either back ordered or referenced somewhere else. Then I got a car down in the shop waiting for stuff to come in from all over the place. :banghead: I feel your pain man.

    Rob

That's been happening alot more, too.
  5. The thing is that if someone calls mid to late afternoon you could order from GM, and have it mid morning at the latest. Saving the 15% from buying it from another dealer. We're close to the Ft.Worth PDC (041 for you GM guys :D ), and our cutoff times were 6:PM for next day. Now it's 4:PM, and we never know when they'll show up. I guess we'll just have to get used to it, but don't have to like it.

Dan, I know what you're saying about forging relationships with people. I'm betting the powers that be didn't think about this when they decided to close dealers. Customers are not brand loyal as much as the are to people that treat them right.

  6. We used to get our deliveries between 8-10:AM, but with all this BS here lately they have changed routes/drivers we never know when we're going to get our stuff. Last night we got our order about 10 minutes before closing. Very frustrating. Any other parts guys having these issues?

  7. good to see more progress on ur build Chase, cant wait to see and hear that thing on the streets.

when u get the engine in r u gonna do a full tune or just a streetable one before u take it up north??? also r u gonna drive it or drag it up there???

dude those are ricer boost numbers!!! lol, jfwy man...

    -Rob

Ricer?! :jester: Those are some MONSTER boost numbers. :omg: That's a killer setup, Chase.
  8. I am going to need to swap out the old tired 350 in my 92 Z71. What I was wondering is if anybody knows how difficult it will be to swap a vortec 350 into it or should I convert it to a carbed crate engine. This will proly end up being my DD, so fuel mileage is sort of important. Anyway if anyone can help me let me know. Thanks fella's. Here is a vid of it.

It wont run right painted any color other than Chevy orange. :jester:

Seriously though, looks good. I like that color blue. Makes me wish I still had my old Goat.

  9. It's a touch much, imo. Whoever did the work did a good job, just not for me.

Btw, I went to school with guys like that, and when mommy and daddy cut the strings they were clueless. Most of them now are in debt up to their eyeballs with no clue how to get out, or dead broke.

  10. ARH already has a set of headers with an X pipe for it and they claim 35rwhp with no tune and 50rwhp with a tune. My cousin already started tuning on one so we'll see what they're good for. I haven't heard from him about how it ran but a buddy of mine said it went very low 13s bone stock with serious traction problems.
I haven't driven one, but the specs I've read are about that. I would think it should be an easy mid to high 12 car without too much trouble.
  11. I feel sorry for all the chums who didn't buy a GM or Dodge/Chrysler brand ext'd warranty at the dealership. Instead, most dealers try to cram their own "in house, el cheep-o" brand ext'd warranties at the new/used car buyers. These "aftermarket" warranties are simply garbage if that selling dealership folds. :(

Another reason to only buy the manufaturers brand ext'd warranties...

:withstupid: I hate dealing with aftermarket warranty companies. They are the biggest freakin' rip off.
