  3. maybe just a 2''-3'' drop but the torsion bars must be cranked then. The measurements i took before and after show a 3''-4'' drop, plus i thought thats what he said.
  4. Man if this topic could of been up 2 weeks ago i wouldn't have the mcghauys kit. I knew that vibration wasn't there before.

  6. The wheels are KMC Dimes, the drop is mcgauys 3''-4''. thanks man Duh i almost forgot again, thanks brian for making this post viewing experience better for everyone.
  7. Thanks guys i was hopeing you'd feel that way , by the way the red one is mine. Now after all this rain i can waxer up and really make'er look bitchin. oh yeah i know looks aren't everything so big wilwoods are in order asap But i guess they look cool too. Just some advice: These wheels are freekin heavy and sudden stopping (slamming on brakes) is not suggested. There for brake upgrades should be on order same time as wheels. Thank you

  9. Hey heres a picture of my truck sitting on 24''ss, well not here but look at my profile quick..........So is that worth cutting the inside top fender out to accomidate rubbing? Keep in mind the truck is dirty, it just rolled out of the shop after being lowerd, no tire shine no wax just dirty. The place that did the work has pictures of it on there website. Go to clearviewservice.com there is a couple others on there. Mine is the top one in the gallery 3-4 drop 24'' kmc dimes. Let me Know what you think.
  10. I promise before anything drastic happens i'll figure out the whole picture posting thing.
  11. Thanks for all the help. I'm heading over to a fab and welding shop to get his advice. This web site is great, once again honest answers from honest people. P.S. Now i'm seriously considering not cutting. Thanks guys. (and gals?)
  12. I was wondering If anybody knows how to roll the inner fender lip ? I went to the local body shop today to ask him but he hasn't a clue. justin lamanna mentiond something about it on my post for cutting out the metal part of the top of the inside fender. I'm very serious about doing some extensive mods, but clean in order to maintain the look I've acheived. I want to keep the 24''ss and the size tire I've got , even if i did go with a 295/35 insted of the 305/35 that i've got i'm still gonna have to cut. So, anybody know where or what kind of tools i need or who can do this fender rolling trick i've heard a few different people mention? P.S. After i figure out the whole picture posting thing i'll show everyone just how bad ass this thing looks, It's freakin sick! (in a good way)
  13. Gosh that hurts, Guess i came to the right place for honesty. thanks
  14. So how do you roll the fender, is that something a body shop would know about? Thanks
  15. Malibuss has it right, its the metal that needs to be cut then refabed so all the road debrie wont get in the engine compartment , then look good on the outside so ill be happy when i crawl under the truck to change the oil or lube the joints. Thanks in advance for all advice I am also worried about the future value of the truck, not for my sake but maybe my kids kids sake
  16. I posted in on the topic with 26'' wheels on an ss. I was telling how i had just picked up my truck up after being lowerd 3-4''ss and 24''ss bolted on. well i told everyone how it rubs real bad, i thought only on the back inner wheel well, but not even a week later i relize it's also rubbing the top of the inside of the fender. I thought the first day i caught it it was just from pulling in and out of parking lots and driveways, then i decided to put tape on the top of the wheel wells after work one day. I pull over on the highway so i don't have to turn the wheels and i could see if it rubbed while driving forward ,at speed. So about two miles up i pull over again and check the status of the tape, well shore as shit it's rubbing while going down the highway. Guess that scratches rolling down to missouri and the truck lookin pimp tight , had to put the ald stockers back on. FINALLY... Should i cut the top of the inside of the well out to accomidate this awesome package, if can have it done to look clean after haveing a fabricator weld in some pieces higher up to get the clearance i need ? I don't want too raise the truck to fit the wheels , it does'nt look as cool, but i don't want to ruin my truck. Is like it will ever be a classic anyways? Then I'd be upset ,i'd have to sell the wheels.
