  1. You got California plates there chief...You sure your on the east side? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He means Eastside Bake-town. I like the SW side myself
  2. Anything but freaking Renault...I still have nightmares about the Eagle Medallion, Eagle Premier, and Renault Alliance/Encore (anybody here ever done a Recall 541 on one of those p.o.s.?) Not to say they dont make decent cars _now_ but you will still never see me in one. I see no upside to this alliance. Ford already tried to help out Nissan, and sold cars for them in Europe and Australia in the 80's and 90's. They pulled out last year I think.
  3. I always liked those, but not as much as MkVII LSC, which I sold new.
  4. I would still rather go with something like a Falconer motor is I was going that radical. Originally 350-based in its concept... http://www.falconerengines.com/prod04.htm
  5. I know that neighborhood, in fact, used to live not far from there
  6. Those and the OZ Canyon are the only wheels Im considering. My billet grille is all the bling I want.
  7. Its a shame to see another SSS get traded, man, although I do like your Civic. The new Si is a very intense car for a subcompact. And of course there would be tons of mods available. I hate to see people getting rid of these awesome trucks, though. Mine will only be sold if it gets wrecked. If gas gets too expensive I will buy something else for a daily driver, but my SS is going nowhere.
  8. It's all about being cheerful and nice, no matter how hateful the customer is. 99% think you are trying to take advantage of them as soon as you do the greet. It's all about being on the lot, all the time, and not sitting in the office-and being right in place when a customer rolls in. It's all about making the customer happy, no matter if you have to buy them lunch (if they are waiting for a credit/bank loan approval) or whatever, and getting them in the car they want for a reasonable (yet profitable for you and your store) price. And always do your best to make sure a customer does not leave the lot without meeting your sales manager. The longer you can get them to stay, the more chances are you will get a sale. Some days will be a lot better than others. Some days you will wonder why you even got out of bed; example being the customer who had no intention of buying, and who you spent 4 or 5 hours working deals for him to only have him laugh at you and walk out. Other days you will sell one before 10 am, and that will get you fired up to sell 3 or 4 more by closing time. If you are passionate about cars, and know a lot about cars, it helps. But thats only 1/2 the ball game. Most of the bigger dealers like to hire guys who have no car sales experience...that way they don't have to 'break them' of another dealer's training. Previous sales experience and success in non-car related business is a big plus. I knew I was going to sell cars when I was about 4 years old. Its a fun business when it works, but it can get pretty 'cut-throat' if you are working for a large dealer. I wish you the best with it
  9. It would have to be in the conrol unit, unless something got disconnected under the hood when you were putting on your cai. I would recheck everything around the Volant then work my way back to the firewall, making sure everything is hooked up. Im feeling like its in the control unit, though...
  10. Its okay to drive on pavement in 4wd as long as you don't make significant turns. Hmm, 4-Low...that might get you a 45 second 1/4mile?
  11. They are just trying to get attention, as usual. The Taepo Dong ICBM was designed with the capability to hit only the Aleutians in Alaska, so if they could get a targeting system to work, they could hit Alaska and Hawaii. So far no comment from the Russians, whose territorial waters the missiles landed in. Stupid as their leader is, he knows all of NK would be turned into a green glass parking lot if he so much as mounted an M80 on one of those weapons. They got their nuclear weapons technology from Pakistan, you do know that, right? Dont sweat it. They are just blowing smoke.
  12. You are indeed correct, sir. And the convertible has also been approved, so I hear. Im hearing that 3.9, possibly 5.3 d.o.d., 6.2, and 7.0 will be engine options, which is as it should be. Its going to have to be a badass out of the box to compete with the SRT Challenger and the new GT500, both of which I admit to liking a lot. Im not sure about the Firebird. I heard the next GTO will be on the Camaro platform, so the empty space is kinda already filled.
  13. I like it...I was a Mopar fan and tech for several years. I _sure_ like it better than that p.o.s. looking 2008 Silverado...
  14. That's a hard decision, but in the end: 1970 Buick GSX
  15. 4 10s would sound killer also, w/ about 1000 watts run to them...

    Onstar

Im positive your OnStar is covered under warranty. This is the first time I have even heard of anyone having trouble with it.

    Onstar

I had my shafts done on both my 03 and my 05...no problems with OnStar... You're still under warranty, right?
  18. And I also think the sides of the bed need a major redesign...
  19. It does look good from almost every angle, I will give you that. Unlike that thing they calll an 08 Silverado.
  20. They keep saying there will be no SS after the run of 07 SS Classics...
  21. I reckon Im as die-hard a GM fan as possible, but this truck is gonna give me nightmares. Im definitely a player on a Camaro, but will now also look at the new GT500, and the Challenger. Msg to Chevy: Shame on you!
  22. I guess the 07 Tahoe/Suburban wasn't pretty enough for them? When did GM _ever_ change to a new body style so fast, for the full size truck? The Tahoe looks a little weird in the front, but overall I thought it would have looked very nice as a pickup, as long as they followed the overall design theme. This new truck might look a little better as all one color, bumpers, grille, mirrors etc like our trucks, but like I said above, Im one step closer to a Camaro convertible just for seeing those pics. It reminds me of how much I thought I would like the Expedition, until I drove one---it looked good, but drove like a p.o.s. The only difference is this time the first impression is visual, and I dont like it. "carlike refinement" my @$$ wtf kind of selling point is that?
  23. I usually get bit several times a year, sometimes by widows. This year one got me on the forehead...nice. And no, it wasn't one of those Oildale spider bites, either Living in a place where there are so many, I have to say Im not scared of them any more, but I hate getting bit by them.
