  1. A Rip Tide blue T900 Escalade EXT is trying to seduce me out of my SS
  2. Congratulations on your purchase. You won't regret it. Except trying to park in London I suppose But you wouldn't be from London buying an SS (would you?). I hope you won't convert it to a right hooker. And that if you do, you get the absolutely highest quality job done you can find. Is this the first Shopman Bowtie to leave North America? Enjoy it, though I need not tell you.
  3. Dylan taught me what I should be carrying in my truck "...honestly, ossifer, it's a fillet knife for cleaning fish..."
  4. I very carefully bent my grill so my tag frame fits flush. I dont really have a problem with the way it looks.
  5. I'd buy that one, and get a sunroof installed
  6. When I was in Germany (1980) the cops mostly drove MkI Golfs (Rabbits), and the odd 911 here and there.
  7. You'd definitely get pulled here for the tint. Beyond that, I see other trucks with everything else you describe get overlooked completely. Now, Im not going to say there are more trucks than cars here, but it sure seems that way.
  8. A gray one and a black one for me, too, please. Size XL.
  9. They got you out of their way it sounds like. That info is for a common problem which has no effect on the front differential growl. The fix on that paperwork is for a clunk in the steering column when turning left or right, while going over a bump. Time to take it back, and if they try to jerk you around about it again, find another dealer. Dont make yourself miserable with an incompetent service department. My truck gets serviced at a GMC Commercial Service Center...totally happy with them.
  10. No answers to your question, but when I am parking my SS in my garage, I turn on the headlights, move fwd til the reflections of the beams cross, then separate by 4-6 inches. That gives me my 2-inch clearance from the wall
  11. They were awesome trucks-I had a 90.
  12. I really liked them. I posted about them when I got back from Australia last year. From the replies I got you would have thought they had kangaroo shit on them or something. I loved both of the cars I drove down under. Holden Calais and HSV Senator, both VY Series II. I am cautiously looking forward to the VE Commodore SSv being sold as a Grand Prix or G8. Its under consideration anyway. I would definitely buy one. Face it guys, Corvette and CTSV aside, Australia is GM's last bastion of truly fast passenger cars.
  13. Im there for both NACE and SEMA. Booked a suite at MGM Grand night before last Looks to be a lot of fun.
  14. Ive warmed up to it a little. I think the Chevy looks best as an extended cab with 20 inch wheels.
  15. Bumped again for the C5 owner in Bakersfield looking for a silver one
  16. Bosch Icon Wiper Blades-look and perform awesome. I went with 24-inch blades, a size or two longer than stock.
  17. Bumped to the top for the guy in the C5 who asked me about buying a silver one today Is it just me or is over 30 a tad high? We are in the 07 model year after all.
  18. Lacrosse and Lucerne are two of the finest US brand cars out right now.
  19. Post #500 for me I dont think our trucks are any lower in status than before-the 03-05 awd SS will continue to be a legend, even if the 07's are not...
  20. I paid mine off when I bought it-but I did trade my 03 rcsb and a 04 Impala LS to get it so I didnt take a hit at all w finance charges.
  21. I didn't freak about it any more after I saw no more than normal ( very few) filings on the plug.
  22. I'd say my front differential noise has reduced by 50% since I had the dealer flush and fill with a synthetic oil (can't remember the weight). GMC dealer did it no charge and its really become a non problem at this point. Definitely not getting any worse.
  23. And he's really got climate control too doesn't he---controlled by driver and passenger _manually_ I tried to make an SS too-didnt spend 1/4 of that before I realized that it never was going to be an SS, no matter what I did.
