  1. One question, why would homeland security, and not DoD be interested in helmet cam video? What do they not want the taxpayer to see? Im sorry, but it's time to end this war. It was started on false pretenses, and is illegal in its very conception. Support our troops! Bring them home N O W !
  2. I think if you unplug the sensor, the main headlights would stay on all the time, and the DRL's would be disabled. Once again, your TBSS is wired totally different than my SSS, so one of our TBSS guys or someone with any kind of TB is going to be of more help to you than me...
  3. Don't care for the looks of the Pontiac, but I would love a Saturn Sky that someone had taken a Mallet to
  4. Thats a pretty decent looking interceptor there. Definitely a stakeout ride with all the plush interior etc... I had 2 of the B-body Chrysler interceptors (77 Fury with a 440 and 77 Monaco with a hot 400). Those were the days, playing unmarked pd. In Alabama, all you had to do was take the inside lane of the freeway and run at 54 mph with the parking lights on-nobody dared to pass And dont even ask about deciding to chase down a car at over 120 only to find out it was a marked Alabama highway patrol unit )!(
  5. If the motor was built in 02, it might be an LQ4. Either way, it wont be for long right?
  6. Im not sure, but I think the way the sensor operates is that it allows driver control of the lights only as long as light hits it-and when it's dark the sensor disables the DRL's. I use my DRL's as fog lights during the day if I need to. All I have to do to get that, is while I am in the garage, to switch the running lights on, without disabling the automatic lamp feature. After I back out, the DRL's come on and stay until it gets dark or the ambient light sensor is triggered. This is how I can drive with running lights and DRL's at the same time. I'd like to run DRL's at night sometimes myself, along with the 4-light-on high beam conversion. But your TBSS is probably set up differently than my SSS. I guess you could wire your DRL's in with your running lights with a separate switch to turn them off and on. Or (long shot) figure out how to bypass the sensor itself - you'd probably need a factory wiring diagram to get it right.
  7. My fix was to change the oil with synthetic oil. I swear I dont hear it any more.
  8. Got my laptop, GPS and cellular modem going in mine. Cant figure out how I want to mount it yet though.
  9. I like some of the music channels on Sirius better, but I like XM best overall.
  10. I know it used to be a ricer feature, but didn't know our trucks did it.
  11. My 11 year old wants it. Short of it getting wrecked, I plan on keeping it.
  12. I want one in Riptide Blue, optioned up like that one. But no matter what I want to keep my SS. And as far as why I don't get an Avalanche, is that 405 hp engine and 6-speed.
  13. Sad. Thought I wanted one until I saw this. Any idea if he was modded at all? Guess I will wait and hope for that Aussie G8/Grand Prix.
  14. Thats a photochop of the next GTO. Sorry Firebird fans, no cigar...
  15. Truck Trend said there will be a 6.2 T900 SSS...thats in this months issue...
  16. Truck Trend differs with you, as of this month's issue. They say there will be a 6.2 in a T900 Silverado SS. But Im hearing a lot about supersharged LS7's (stock 600 hp) on the way for the next CTSV and Corvette SS. Single cab, short bed T900 SSS with a supercharged LS7 says yes to me.
  17. "...no noises..." I can hear those 5.3 wrist pins clack clacking from here
  18. I would definitely get one if they made it, feeling not quite right in an extended cab, and I had a 454SS. So this one would do me right. Assuming I havent moved up to an EXT by then.
  19. Sheez, hate your having so many problems. Putting better lube in my front differential quieted it right down. No metal shavings in mine. The reuglar steering shaft TSB is what I had done and no more knocking. As far as your coolant leak, I would definitely take it back to whoever did your water pump and get it checked out asap. Hope you get it all fixed up.

    F-250???

You gotta use that traffic to put your opponent in the same situation he wanted to keep you in...Box him up in slow traffic, then press on with pride
  21. I really want a T900 Escalade EXT, but I more than likely will not give up the SS. But Im going to give them 2-3 years to get all the bugs worked out. Drove a Riptide Blue one to lunch about 3 weeks ago, feels like love Just need more towing capacity for the boat I hope to get one day.
  22. JC Whitney used to sell the kit, dont know if they still have it or not.

    Denali pick up

I _believe_ the only difference is that LQ9 has aluminum heads, while the LQ4 is all iron.
  24. 9 City, 14 highway Hey, at least it beats my old 454SS, which was rated 8 City, and 10 highway... And I have bought a Jap beater too in case GWB decides we need to pay $5 a gallon, while the SS will only be driven on nice weekends this winter. Never thought I would drive a ricer again, but hey, $350 was too good to pass up, and I can run the hell out of it knowing that if it dies, I can just walk away from it It gets about 28 or so, with 188,000 miles...Passed smog, everything works, no complaints. I get my balls busted a lot about it though
  25. Didnt you know? All dogs go to heaven Please dont rule out getting another dog. And if you or your family would have a hard time raising a puppy, then consider adopting an older dog. There are literally millions out there to be had-none of them will replace your friend, but the experiences you have with the new one will be just as good. Ive only lost one myself. Half Golden, half Lab, long haired. He lived to be 13 and a half, so he had a good run. And Im happy to say his last two years were the best of his life. It took me a year to get over the loss, and decide to get another dog. Then it took another year to find just the right one, a purebred Golden who thinks he rules the world-he's 4 now. Im sorry for your loss. Hope you and your family feel better soon.
