  1. I spit my coffee when I read this! Lol
  2. Hmm, put it in my calendar. We'll see how my little guy is doing then I might try and come down for the Saturday.
  3. How hot was it? Those 60' times are really high for an AWD SS. Probably should be closer to a 2.0-2.3. Were you stalling the motor or hammering it off idle?
  4. Sorry to hear bud I myself had mine recently stolen. It is a terrible feeling to,walk out the front door and see your truck is gone. Hope you get it back in one piece.
  5. Sold Hey Everyone, For sale are my OEM Silverado SS wheels off of my 06 2wd that was stolen a couple months ago. I bought a new truck and don't need the wheels any more. See the link for pics and details. I also have 2 brand new Nitto NT555R drag radials. Tires have never been mounted. I'm into them for over $1200 CDN by the time I got them to my door. See ad for pictures and details. Willing to ship to the right buyer but prefer local pick up. Wheels are located outside Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Silverado SS Wheels - $1000 CDN http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tires-rims/kitchener-waterloo/silverado-ss-wheels/1002992393?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true Nitto Drag Radials - $1000 CDN http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tires-rims/kitchener-waterloo/20-nitto-drag-radials/1003255357 Thanks for looking,
  6. As far as I know the truck is still for sale, it's everything Shuan says it is. I drove down a couple weeks ago to see it, it's a very nice truck for a good price. It needs a little lovin' but the body and interior are 8.5-9/10. Pm him if your interested, it's the best way to get ahold of him. It's a great price for what it is, but by the time I imported it into Canada the cost was beginning to be too much for my finances.
  7. http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/engine/hrdp_0710_6l_ls_series_small_block/?__federated=1 There is no set hp increase amount, every truck is different and everyone will have different ideas of what a perfect tune is to them based on driving style and experience. The biggest variables will be what you request as parameters such as fuel octane, shift points, tourque management etc. and the current modifications that you have. A truck with a blower will see better gains with a tune then a stock truck, See the link above, it give rough Ideas of what certain modifications may yield.
  8. Is that a factory or aftermarket spoiler? Looks really nice
  9. Really nice looking truck. What kind if wheels are those?
  10. Try spraying some carb cleaner around the intake gasket. If your idle changes you have a leak.
  11. Are you tuning with a wideband? If not spend the $200. Until you know what your afr is your tuner is just taking educated guesses. For me it was the difference between a 14.2 at the track and at 14.06. Sounds like you have built a top heavy setup. I'd buy the wideband, log. Tune. Log. Tune. Log and tune until it can't give anymore. Then if it's still a dog down low decide which parts you need to get it to your end goal. Data is so important when making power these days. I think it's the one thing most guys miss.
  12. Almost a year old thread bud.
  13. Sorry to hear bud, but at least you still have it. Mine went missing almost 3 weeks ago now, alarm on and armed and they still got it. Right out of my driveway early in the morning, not a peep from the alarm just the thieves ripping up the road.
  14. That sucks.... Must be the time of year...
  15. Good to see you back John! The work that comes out of your shop is incredible!
  16. Thanks for the support guys, I hope it was just a joy ride for some wheels.
  17. If anyone sees any clean, decent mileage trucks pass them my way, looking for another SS. I'm defiantly going to do more anti theft on the next one. Probably a ghost switch for the fuel pump.
  18. Truck got stolen this morning at 4:00am right out of my driveway. F@ck.
  19. Man that looks amazing! I see a group buy in the near future haha
  20. I used to own a blown power dyne which I sold, my main reason for not putting it on was belt slip problems the previous owner was having. I read a thread a long time back where silverado guys were fabbing up additional tensioners. Pinning Is something else that was recommended as well. Like said above look into the hd tensioner.
  21. Plus one for a hell of a nice guy to send you his tools. Either way, be safe and identify your risks.
  22. I can't believe how ignorant some guys get around here. Let's break this into facts; The "proper" tool is a screw mechanism, no different then a c clamp. The user needs to be directly under or beside the tool to engage it to screw and apply pressure on the torsion key. While twisting the bolt/clamp you run a larger risk of the tool slipping. A hydraulic jack is a mechanical device that applies a pressure in a very linear plane. The torsion bar key is confirmed to a very limited axis and can only rotate one way. The jack allows the user to rotate the key from a safe distance, with safe sight lines and moves the individual further away from ant potential injury. In the end applying pressure to the torsion key is no different then lifting a vehicle. A 2 ton jack is more then capable and safe to do it. If you decide to rent a tool, you as the next user have no idea what the previous gut did with it. There's always the chance that someone torqued the tool well beyond its yield to get the job done. Argue however you want, just leave your ego at the door.
  23. I would trust that more then a c clamp or rented tool, at least I know with a floor jack I'm not close to anything blowing up in my face. To each their own.
