I have had the same issue for about a year.

What is the paint color? Any specific type of paint?

Anyone know the part number for the dash cover 03 ss. Mine is peeling and I can't decide to paint or just replace it.

parting out Joe Gibbs truck! make offers!
jon1178 replied to nelsonoffroad's topic in For Sale/ Wanted
Are you still parting out this truck? I am in need of a new dash cover the top of mine is peeling. Is that something you would be willing to ship? How much to 33527? -
I have Budnik Gassers 22x10 on the truck right now I am just looking for a change.

Anyone running the new 22 inch Escalade wheels on the truck. Their is a local wheel distributor here that will sell a set of 4 replicas for $884. The only concern I had was about tire fitment. The wheels I have now are 10" wide and the replicas are 9" wide. I am currently running 305/40/r22.

Well it turned out to be a relay. I thought I checked all three but I must checked one of them twice by accident. I went ahead and bought two relays that way I could keep a spare in the glove box.
-
I am thinking the same I just took a closer look and it looks like one of the plug holes for the relay is melted a little bit.

While driving with the windows down I noticed my truck was overheating and quickly realized my fans were not coming on. So I turned on the a.c. and I could hear them come on which cooled the truck back down from about 255*f back down to 200*f . I got lucky. When I got home to check thing out I realized only one fan the pass side was coming on only when the a.c was activated. I swap the fan plug to verify both fans work and they do. I also swapped around the relay and they all seem to work but the driver side fan still is not coming on. I am running the nelson harness. I am at a loss not sure what to try next.

I need the passenger side. The places I have found the fender liner do not allow the ss option in the search maybe that is why the liner looks different to me.
-
I am trying to track down the piece of the front fender well that is directly behind the tire. I have found the upper fender apron but I need the lower piece. I have worn a hole in mine from tire rub and I am going to raise the truck about a .25" to stop the rubbing. Just wanted to het this replaced before I adjust the suspension and het the alignment done.

just go to lowes they have an automotive fastener bin in the hardware section. use the square nylon body anchors with the black hex bolts. sorry i dont remember the size.

I wish I still had my stock stuff that badge is badass. Did you make that or can it be purchased somewhere?

Turned out to be bad shocks. Which I discovered while pulling a trailer.

I am going to try putting new rotors and pads on this weekend. I doubt it has anything to do with the pinion angle because it has not always done this. My wheels are forged aluminum so I would assume that i would see cracks if they were bent in any way.
-
I have had the tires balanced twice. It goes away above and below 45 but comes back as more of a shimmy at highway speeds.
-
so you are looking to buy not sell? if willing to sell let me know how much.
-
So I have been getting this bounce/shimmy around the 45 mark coming from the backend of the truck. I thought maybe I had a bent rim so i rotated the tires to see if it would move to the front and it did not so i figured must have bent an axle because it looks like the passenger rear is the one with the wobble. Well replace the axle shaft today and went for a test drive and it is still not cured. Could the brake rotors be causing this? I am not feeling any pulsating through the pedal though. The worst part about this is most of the driving I do is around town at about 45 mph.

Ss Hats Are In. Now What To Do With Them : )
jon1178 replied to shawnss's topic in Off-Topic/General
I can't believe I missed these if you happen to have an extra black with silver I will take it. -
I have been having a lot of trouble with ebc pads with overheating rotors and putting off tons of brake dust that was destroying my budnik wheels. Since I was changing the pads I went ahead and cleaned up the calipers. Not the best picture but you get the idea.
-
What kind of gains can be expected with just the intake?
-
Thanks I am trying to justify buying new rings for the 2 piece rotors but the rings are basically the same price as buying a whole new kit. I will find out this week if they have enough left to be turned again. I know the rear rotors don't have enough meat left but I am hoping the fronts do.
-
i cant find my stock caliper brackets and i dont think i am going to be able to turn my baer rotors again. i cant justify spending almost $1k to replace these rotors when i only drive the truck a couple times a month. if they can not be turned again i will just go back to the stock setup.

They look like the same ones I installed in mine and mine came out of an 05.
