i was cleaning the interior today and was wiping my dash down and a whole section about 2"x3" wiped right off down to the black right above the stereo. i cant stand to leave it like this. has anyone pulled the dash off to repaint and how much of a pita is it and what paint and color was used. i dont know weather or not to attempt this myself or just take it to an automotive upholstery shop and see if they can maybe fix just the spot that is peeling.

I feel your pain . I am running the same pads and mine squeek (sp) like crazy when coming to a stop. And I followed the break in instruction as best as one could do on a street driven vehicle.

has anyone running the 2 piece had to replace just the rotors yet I'm having trouble finding them for sale. I have had mine turned and I'm still getting a bad shimmy under heavy breaking. The only thing I can think is that the rotors are warped. I have already checked the hubs, tie rod ends, and ball joints and everything is tight.

they are in good shape and they have the bolt still in them there is not really any mounting hardware for these.

I am trying to find those washers that you find on the wheel stud that hold the rotors in place. Most of the time you have to bend and break them with needle nose pliers to get them off. My issue is I am getting a shimmy and the only thing left I can think of is maybe my rotors are not staying seated properly before I put the wheels on. I have had the wheels balanced a couple times already and I have had the wheels checked for bends and they are all within spec. When I do put my stockers on it is not as noticeable but it is still there.

no i did not. one plug is much shorter so it can only connect to the closer fan.

any aswers on how i swith the direction of the fans? i swapped the ground and hot wires and they run the right direction but they run without the truck even being turned on.

The fans are deffinently running in the wrong direction. They are pushing are through the radiator from the engine side instead pulling fresh air from the outside. Everything is wired as per instructions I am at a loss on this one.

Just finished installing my elec fans. While the trucks is at idle fans come on everything seems to be fine. When I drive it the temp starts to shot up to 225-230. I have a 160* stat in and using the nelson harness. Is it possible that the fans are running in the wrong direction?

General Motors sold this one at barret jackson back in '09. it was sold with a certificate of distruction.

does anyone have a part number for the heated seat control module. It has been 6 months and the dealership says they are still on back order i figured i would hunt around for one myself.

i like it . i am running the amber DRL and i was getting a little tired of it this would be perfect.

just wanted to let everyone know about a possible corrosion problem if it goes unaddressed. i was detailing the truck today when i noticed a couple leaves behind the small piece of cladding behind the front tires. i could not reach the leaves so i decided to pull off the piece of cladding to get to them and i found a lot of mud/dirt and debris in a little pockets behind the fender liner. enought that i could scoop it out with my hands. my truck rarely sees rain let alone a dirt road. i thought i would post this because i figured it may become an issue with rust if left unnoticed.

Thankfully mine is still under warranty and I had it diagnosed as the control module went bad. The dealership will be replacing it but the control modules on our trucks are on national backorder so there really is no telling when mine will get fixed. It has been 4 weeks since it was diagnosed.

Just picked the truck up from the dealership. I had to get both knock sensors replaced because of corrosion. Thankfully still under warranty it was a $648 repair. I noticed on the way home in the higher rpm range I am hearing a whining sound almost like a vacuum but only in the higher rpm range when getting into the throttle. Anybody have this after the repair? I plan on calling the dealership first thing in the morning.

Are these intake manifolds a direct bolt? I really want to get rid of this but ugly stock manifold and a couple extra hp would also be nice. My warranty is up in march so I figured I will start doing a little more tinkering.
