  1. I am aware of the sloppy steering that you are talking about. I first changed the intermediate steering shaft. That helped for a few weeks but could still feel too much "play". I then changed the Inner and Outer Tie Rods.....didnt notice a huge change. I replaced the Idler Arm and Pitman Arm. The pitman arm is a royal pain to get out by the way. Now No play in the steering. Its like a brand new steering. Keep in mind I am at stock ride height and this worked for me. Labor was free but I spent well over $450 in parts alone. Good Luck

    Coolant Leak

Alright thanks guys. I had not heard of any problems with the waterpumps. I thought it was just me or maybe something worse. Did a compression test and that looks good and the leak is on the front of the engine. That would lead me to think its new pump time. This one does have 90k on it!

    Coolant Leak

SS Members, I have a small leak in my coolant system. It has lost about half a gallon since July. I thought it was most likely the valve on the Radiator but that was fine. Seems to be from the bottom of the Water Pump. Has anyone else had this problem. Is it a common issue. I am going to try a stop leak liquid before I put on a new pump. Thanks IN advance, Barney
  4. TheSteward, Hello I cannot say for the 2009. But I put a popnlock tailgate lock in. It is also marketed as the Pace Edwards, exact same thing! I took apart the door and wired it in. Works great never had a problem after install. Barney
  5. Yes this is rather typical if you change rim width. Your contact patch is now different and the vibration will continue until you wear the tire to match with the new rims. Its a real PITA, I had the similar deal. I think I may need new tie rods too. The vibration is a nightmare.
  6. Is that a hard Tonneau cover in the pictures? I cannot tell is it an item up for the sale?

  8. What color dot are these? Standard black or something else
  9. I dont know how much these add in HP but how is $10 shipped?
  10. Okay so it was not the tie rods at all. It was the problematic intermediate steering shaft. I never replaced mine it made it to 80k.
  11. The factory uses aluminum pop rivets with large heads. I had the same dilema here in NY after I bought the truck. I didnt know about the Pop Rivets. I used stainless bolts. There is a hole in the steel under bumper to fit a wrench right where you need it. I also put adhesive backed foam on the back of the plate bracket. Not that I was worried about scratches but it helped avoid squeeks and It controled not overtightening. Good luck
  12. Hello all, I am thinking about going with the RareParts tie rod ends. I am pretty sure mine are shot and thought they looked easier to adjust than the stocks. Has anyone changed theirs to an aftermarket company?
  13. Not an expert but its normally a weatherpack connection so its just plug and play. but dont forget the new belt!!!
  14. Looks good...Sounds great! What did you do to the rear glass. Did it come with the slider or is that something you installed?
  15. Never seen one before so I looked it up on autotrader.com. There were a few for sale, Nice looking truck.
  16. They will all fit............Look again they are different finished. One is raw cast, One is Chrome, and the last is Polished Al! Since your stock is 105amp, you will need a new belt.
  17. Bump for a great seller. He packaged up the parts like he works at FedEX or UPS. I ordered the parts Saturday and they were here Wednesday morning. Get some parts while you can guys. Thanks again Time2Kill
  18. I can only speak for the Addco since I have that. I dont think it will be a problem with a lowered truck you may have to shorten the endlinks about an inch so that the bar is parallel with the ground and the links are perfectly vertical at ride height. I know for my stock application the endlinks were a little long and had to make sure everything was lined up before a final tightening. You can also put the bar itself above or below the axle to help in alignment. But with either swaybar watch out for your brake lines there is very little clearance.
  19. I also have the BOSS 330's..........DONT get rid of them. They look great and match your chromed grille. I think you should rethink this!
  20. Time2Kill, hope you got my reply. I needed both sides both control arms to 13473
  21. I am still questioning if the 13's will fit on an AWD. Has anyone tried this or do you need relocation brackets.....
  22. I added an ADDCO bar to the back of my truck a few years ago. They were practically throwing them away at summit.....it was $38.00 shipped to my door. I was actually only in it for the price slash but really liked the result. I dont really care for the gold anodized color but not a big deal. Installed easy and has greasable urethane supports. I added urethane bushings in the front and am very happy.
