  1. Catdaddy, I wish I could give you the part numbers I actually ordered the LEDs of a few different Ebay sites. I wanted to drop my electrical draw. LED's IMO left more power for cold start ups (not sure if it does but I thought so). I got the POPLOCK tailgate lock. Picked it up a the local truck shop and ran the wiring up into the doorpanel so it unlocks off the remote or doorswitch. http://popandlock.net/index.php The same product is sold under the Pace Edwards badging also. Hope this helps!
  2. Petrolum Jelly.....aka vaseline is recomended. DO NOT put them in dry!!!
  3. My Personal little mods are: Ported and Polished throttle body, all LED interior lights, ez down tailgate helper, electric tailgate lock wired into the door locks, SS Silverado floor mats, Painted the bowtie on the steering wheel arrival blue and my favorite BAD@SS plate!
  4. My first vehicle was a 1989 Jeep Commander 4x2 p/u. It was a quick little truck with the 4.0 litre. Next was a 5.0 ford, now a 6.0 chevy.......I guess next has to be a 7.0 liter to keep the sequence alive.
  5. The swaybar from ADDCO will go on the AWD no problems. I know what you are saying with the brake lines but you dont have to relocate them. You just have to make sure the sway hardware does not hit. I used the handle of a rachet to move mine less than 1/32" and have no problems after that. Secondly, the spare tire is not a problem with this company it fits fine.
  6. Is this muffler a direct bolt in replacement and secondly is it a Stainless Steel construction? I am thinking of going with the new Borla muffler but this is a great price!

    Watches

I am on the same page. I have a watch for each day. My vote is for anything by Breitling!
  8. I went with the not so popular Bosch +4's. I have been rather happy with them but not sure they are worth the huge price. I did notice better idle. Still have GM wires and looking to upgrade.
  9. Thats great. Sums up that christmas electronic rush in my mind.
  10. The LS1 corvettes lost the screen and later models have eliminated it also. I agree you do need to retune for it but turbulent air vs. laminar flow air is still going to register temperature, pressure, density and other perameters on the computer. Thats my opinion with a BS in Physics
  11. It has been my experience that the bbk's dont work. I tried one also then I just ported my throttlebody and made a new butterfly. Its much better! And no codes.
  12. The SS has 1 1/4" swaybar in the front. If you go to most Advanced Auto parts they have the greaseable bushings you need on the shelf. You can also get endlinks and change that out too.
  13. I know you are more familiar with your set up than I am but couldnt you add a second drain plug to your oil pan verses going the replacing route? Myself I would just plug off the port instead of replacing after all if you use a teflon washered plug it will not leak anymore than your original drain plug. Must my 2cents.
  14. I am limited to English and French.....I understand hillbilly but dont speak it myself. And I know mostly swear words in Mohawk (thats not one you use everyday!)
  15. Damnit. Thats a shame, he will be missed.
  16. Thanks man, Has anyone had any experience with the McGard kits? Should I go to another company. I found this one on Summit and thought they looked good but I am open to suggestions.
  17. Hey guys I am going to put on a new set of wheels. Currently I am using the stock lugs. I need to get some new chrome nuts. My question is does anyone know the stock size so I can order a mcguard kit with the new wheels? Going with the Boss 330 Silvers with Machined lip!
  18. I had my truck for about a month and ordered a PCM from Bryan. I also told him it was a daily driver and I wanted certain things. He had the perfect tune for me and it was great. I have had that tune for over 4 years not one thing to complain about ever. Barney
  19. Hey I was thinking of something like that same idea. Here is what I was planning. Purchase a hitch cover and then drill into the SS logo and add small LEDS. If you didnt want to do wiring you could purchase a cheap version of the brakelight-cover and morph the two together. SS hitch cover and Cheap LED Hitch Cover Whatever you do, get a lock for it. Or all your work making/ordering will just walk off.
  20. Nevermind the Garage.................................He has a MONEY TREE!
  21. Mine powered its last electrical device about a month ago. I had it for 6 years and the green window on top said it was good but it would not hold a charge and would not even think of turning the truck over.
  22. had the same problem.....it was a poor battery
  23. Check this site out http://www.black-ridge.com/power-tailgate.htm
  24. I installed the poplock/pace edwards single solenoid in mine. It gets wired to the door locks so that you can unlock with the key fob. It installs through the handle release. This might be your best bet. http://popandlock.net/ -Barney
  25. What type of vinyl did you use and did you computer cut it or make a pattern? If you Computer cut it and can make more I am down for an arrival blue pair. -Barney
