They sent me a copy of the build sheet which states 454,turbo 400 and I think 3:31 rear gears. All I know so far is the heads are different and obviously the cowl induction air cleaner is gone. As soon as I can I will, it is not tubbed so thats good but I dont know what the suspension is like either. If you saw it it would look like a stock 71 with the exception of centerline wheels on it.She wants 20k for the car but I think thats a bit high considering it has been modded. Guys I could use a little advise please, I am currently looking at this chevelle which was mildy set up for drag racing.The owner says the suspension and motor were modified but to what extent she does not know as they purchased the car that way. I am looking for as close to a factory original car as possible and this would require a little work, first should I pass on this and what do you think I should pay for this car?.it is clean body and interior wise. Honestly I would take it to a shop because once you open the system you introduce moisture and that is what kills compressors etc. The second reason is you will know if the system has a leak after you perform your repair but any service manual should have the info.
