  2. thanks for posting those videos. your camera man is definitely getting better. i hear he may be retiring soon though, so i guess you will have to train someone else. i ran a 10.0 one pass, i'd like to see it, if you could post that video, that would be way cool.
  3. 06VHO

    Congrats to 06VHO

Thanks, it was a long tough year, but worth it. Receiving an award with my crew. Doing my thing. Smoke hasn't cleared yet.
  4. I'll probably be going. Not sure which vehicle though.
  5. Chase, here is a link to the best Spray Can "High Heat" Paint I have found. LINK It contains "Ceramic" and does a good job. Your Cats should be Stainless Steel and get extremely Hot , so I would not paint your Cats, but would paint all of the Pipes. I believe AutoZone carries this paint. Good Luck.
  6. Check this out, Drag Racers This is a link to a thread I posted.
  7. Check out this Drag Racing Highlight Video. Comments are welcomed!!!!! Click here, when the page opens, click where it says "VIEW ONLINE HIGHLIGHT VIDEO"
  8. They used to open @ 7am as the schedule states. They do open @ 6am now, they just haven't updated their schedule to reflect that change.

  10. Important!!!!! A DOT Helmet is not good enough. Helmet: Required in all vehicles faster than 13.99 seconds. Helmet must meet SNELL 95 or better standards (must have label inside of helmet). NOTE: In January 2007 the requirement will be SNELL 2000 or better. "Click here" and read all of the rules if you are not familiar with them.
  11. The stock t-stat out of my '06 is 86* Celsius = 186.8 * Fahrenheit.

If the parents are not present, the original form must be notarized. Cars are limited to 10 second, all faster may not race at this event.
  13. FYI: Anyone going to race should get to the track no later than 6:00 am. It sells out and if you get there late you may end up being a spectator. If you want to race someone you need to be in the same run group as them. They typically have 8-run groups with 50-vehicles per run group (400-vehicles total). If you are in run group-3 and you want to race someone in run group-7, they probably won't allow it, so make sure you are in the same run group as the person you want to race. ENJOY!!!!!
  14. Congrats to RacerJJ on finishing the 2006 Summit E.T. Series in 1st Place. I guess that makes you the 2006 Fontana Track Champ. These other guys should pay attention to how you woop up on all the cars in the Sportsman Class with your truck.
  15. The bakersfield track is pretty cool. Lots of oxygen because of all the farms around. You'd like it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Famoso Raceway altitude is approx. 625' a.s.l.
  16. Sound cool, so are you both going to be there then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably, depends on how many miles he has on hid truck by then. I told him he should wait tell he has a few thousand miles to start racin it. And also I wanna have my headers and tune done before I go. If not this time, deffinatly next month! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I raced my truck at just over 500 miles on the odometer.
  17. Sound cool, so are you both going to be there then?
  18. The VHO is all good, I am just kinda busy.
  19. It is definitely going to be cooler this time, Click here. I am not sure if I will be out there this time though.

  21. Hey Kyle, how's it going. There will be a street legal race at Fontana in September. Click here for the schedule.
  22. my truck did the same thing stock, even with a 160f t-stat. if you are not moving (idling in park) you have no airflow across the radiator. the stock t-stat opens at 187f and circulates coolant thru the radiator, but with no airflow the coolant just keeps getting warmer until it gets up to 226f, at this point the e-fans finally turn on, it quickly cools down and the fans cycle off until it gets to 226f again. it will do this with the stock 187f t-stat or with a 160f t-stat. it also does this in stop and go freeway traffic. it will do this in 50f weather as well. the trans temp also gets real hot when idling in park. stock pcm settings fans cycle: on @ 226f off @ 219f
  23. Are they 555's or 555R's
  24. Read my posts in this thread. For heavy towing, a bigger trans cooler helps keep your trans fluid from getting too hot, read this thread. Make sure your trailer brakes are up to the task. Heavy towing up steep grades at high speeds the stock gear oil is too thin.
