  1. So my mom goes to meet with a friend who she has not seen in along time about an hr away from our house. My Godmother came down from Tampa to stay with us and make the trip with my mom to meet up with their other friend. Turns out that her son is a Firefighter / EMT and has an SSS, same job and same truck as I. Thought that was cool and when I talk to him, I'll tell him about the site if he dosent already know.

Shortly after I told my girlfriend the story, she said " Most people who drive SSS's are gangster except for you " I started laughing and said I cant wait to post this up.

  2. Hey bro, no matter what, we are all behind you. Maybe you were meant to be W.O. Anyways, I'm sure the wife will be a little less worried about you going W.O. than SF. Anything else you can do ie: Possible waiver from a private doctor ... I remember my a guy in my squad didnt qualify for Marine Force Recon due to preexisting medical so he tried a private doctor but I'm not sure what happened.

  3. Today I ask all my fellow members here on SSS.com to take a moment of silence to reflect on our 3,093 fellow Americans who lost their lives that horrific day, and god bless our troops for all they have sacrificed to keep the U.S. safe. Lets keep the troops in our prayers and lets never forget September 11, 2001. :flag:

Wow Dan, I remember you saying that you knew some guys who had fallen in FDNY but I had no idea that you worked in the same department. God bless their families and friends

  4. Well, seeing as how it is officially September 11th today, I would like to dedicate this thread to all the fallen (civilians and public servants) of September 11th 2001.

9/11 , we must never forget. I fly my flag proudly everyday as well as a flag on my license plate, back window and outside my house. I truely am proud of the country I live in every day.

FDNY Remembering our 343 brothers lost that day. While I was not a firefighter at the time (only in 8th grade), that is a day I will truely NEVER FORGET. One of the reasons I am in my career today is due to the braverey of the FDNY and supporting agencys showing an absolute dedication to their country as well as country people. GOD BLESS AMERICA :flag:

Heres the shirt I'm wearing into work tomorrow. My Godmothers father and brother worked out of Hells Kitchen FDNY.

  5. LOL, I only get to see my truck every other weekend now! :wtf:

AND... my wife has grounded the Expedition and drives the crewcab daily, lol. If I get one more dude leaving his phone number on my truck, lol.

And it's USAIR, not DELTA, and I am 30% ownership now. :P

In all seriousness, the truck looks great man. I've had the same thing happen when my girl drove my truck to school one day.

  6. AHHHAAAA... Are you guys saying that sketch isnt good? HAHAHA I drew that up just to give a general idea of what she was wanting to do. As you may know, alot of artists dont let you take anything they draw up with you. Sorry for the confusion.

  7. Ok guys, so I have decided to finally go through with my tat. Heres the basic premise of it. I want an American Flag with 2 dog tags attatched to it or something of that general idea. I have a really quick sketch of what I am looking for, but everywhere I have gone said I should not do a flat flag due to skin movement over the years it will not look as good in a couple years or so. Its going to be on my back right shoulder.

    Heres the drawing I had.

I went today and the chick drew me up something like this. She quoted me 320 for the flag colored in Red, White and Blue with grey shading in the background. Does that sound high ?

I want to try and stay away from the waving flag idea. Do you guys have any ideas? Dosent have to be this idea at all, just something involving an American Flag and 2 dog tags. Thanks for any imput.

  8. Well, I got some sweet stuff for the bday on Thursday. I played golf for free at a pretty nice course in Ft Lauderdale, had an awesome dinner, got some sweet presents and it was an overall great birthday. Heres some of the stuff I got.

G/F got me the digi camera that I took all these pics on !!! AWESOME!! (I think she actually got tired of me asking her all the time to borrow her camera 4 truck pics LOL)

Snapped this one in the car

  9. Well, some idiotic B*** decided to pull out in front of me on my way to school one morning She was in a dodge Caravan.. Turns out she was still sleepy from taking an Ambien the night before. Anyways, it totaled my truck(2003 Arival Blue SS, 40k miles), and shattederd me knees but everyones alive! I actually just bought a 2006 Silverado and im building a short cab SS with the leftover useable parts. So I just need the bumper cover, reinforcement, and grille.

    Thanks everyone!!

Wow, thats pretty intense. Good luck in the build up.

  10. Looks like you're going to need more than a bumper and grille ! I would suggest checking this site as well as other sites such as performancetrucks.net . If you dealt with insurance through this accident, it is actually cheaper to buy aftermarket replica parts (they look identical). I'd say maybe once a month there is an SS that is being parted out that has been in an accident. That would be another idea. Well, good luck to you in your search.
