Kelley, I'm going to look at pics of it. How old is it, how much are you asking. Where can I see pics, I'm gonna try your previous threads to try and find some. Well, I just got the vette servo, TransGo HD2 shift kit, metal accumulator, and metal seperator plate. I will not be doing the work because I'm under warrantee so god for bid I screw it up. I'm scoping out local shops, but Kelley performance has a good price and said it will be under warrantee still. Hes in Hallandale. As for the tune, as soon as get the sk installed I'm sending away for the cable. Probably wolnt be until December though I got alota department testing in November and wolnt have alota time. Sounds good and itll be great weather during December for tuning.

The SSS was the WORST on the track. Had 1200 hp but if you cant stop on a road course , it dosent matter.

Just wanted to throw an idea out there for a South Florida SSS/ Fbody meet when it gets cooler. Maybe December/January time. Moroso is close by (Palm Beach Gardens)so I'm sure we'll be using that to our advantage and maybe a cruise/ meet before or after. Possibly get an idea started early so word can be spread in advance. Hope to meet up with you local SSS members. Lemme know what you guys think.

I was afraid to buy something that wasnt local due to the shipping aspect of it. I Was thinking that the shipping was going to be like 200 for such a large item. Well, I just put the finishing coat on mine. Intended to spray just the outside trim but wound up doing the whole thing, inners also and chromed the stock mesh grille behind it. Not sure how its gonna look with that stock grille being silver behing my billet. Does anyone know how to remove that stock grille from the ducts, it looks like a gm rivet and I tried with a screwdriver but didnt wanna ruin the new chrome so I didnt force it. Paint store didnt have Krylon Fusion so I used plastic primer then chromed it last night. Sanded it this morning and redid the chrome to get the runs out. I might just go ahead and buy the chromed ones because I can already forsee chipping.

Ok, so I'm on the way to the girlfriends house round 6:30 last night. Its a 15 minute drive so I take the streets instead of the highway (we had a cold fron come through.. a whopping 75* LOL) so I took advantage of the cool air and just cruised down there. On the way down I was behind this BMW 645 I with Canada plates. I came to a stoplight next to him and just casually minding my own business and he throws a rev and is inching up. I glance over and hes like 55 with his hot ass MILF wife (probably 25) So I inch up and on green we go. He jumped before I did so he was ahead of me by a nose, started reeling immediatly and shifted into 2nd and just pulled another truck on him. I was ahead by 2-3 @ 70 mph. Speed limit was 45 so I slowed down, guy pulls up next to me all pissed off .. LOL. come to the next light and look in the rearview, ****in po po 3 cars back ( he was off duty, outa his city) Needless to say he scared the shit outa me and there is NO WAY he didnt hear the dumps so I just kept crusin and he didnt do anything. Sorta freaks me out racing on the street, its kept to a minimum like stoplight runs and never anything 20 over the limit.

I've also been ver interested in doing this and was wondering what paint to use when doing the vents. I really like this idea but dont know if I should save my $ and do them myself or buy them from shopman. So for you guys who have done it, what paint did you use and what were your steps?

Are you on supraforums? That would be a good place to start. My brother has owned about 10 of them in the past 5 yrs . There great cars stock, then like every other car, the more you mods, the less reliable. Hes got his 94 SP 76 mm single turbo 6spd supra for sale with 60k into it and would barely be able to get 40 out. Also, where is the shell located, I know a guy on the East coast in Florida that does the same thing. Buys back supras then sells them after he works em out.

Right, I know I should do the converter at the same time but $ for the converter isnt there and like kelley said, the tranny would not have to be dropped. I would like to do this project myself but I dont want to attempt to do it because my lack of knowlege on transmissions.

Ok, so I saw this on GMFS I think a while ago. Guys were posting everything from their truck not running properly to dents, ding, etc. Post up something you dont like about your truck ie (not fast enough, sucks gas) Heres my contribution. I bought the truck used 1) Guy was a smoker 2) Somehow the dash was peeling(can get pics later)3) guy backed into something before I bought it and moved the bumper 4) The guy who owned it somehow rubbed off the seat heating diagram on the drivers side so every time I wanna turn it on, I gotta look at the passenger side to figure which 1 is which. FINALLY, ITS NEVER GOING TO BE FAST ENOUGH! Dont wanna sound like I dislike my truck, I love it very much but these are just some things that annoy me.

In reply to the seat heater question, the moron who owned it b4 me somehow rubbed off the little diagrams on the vertical and horizontal ones so every time I want one on, I have to look at the passenger side. AHH

Called 1 local place and they said they needed to see the kit. Just looking for what I should expect before calling. Thanks guys

Just checked. 03 SSS AWD M32-4L65E. I dont understand why on a performance truck they put in a 4 spd even though its been proven as a good tranny, why not a 5, why did they have to wait so long before they thought of this. But thats a whole nother topic

Yes Drako, you are totally right about the Florida sun. The trick is to wash with the shade in your favor like around 5pm my house blocks the sun therefore the SS is in the shade. Also, by the time you are done washing/drying and its time to wax, either hope you have enough sunlight to finish or if you have a garge, pull er in and wax.
