  1. Nice run I just got some 16's on 28.4" tall tires, cant wait to try them out! They weighed in at 51lbs, hopefully they'll help out compared to my heavy a*@ 22's/31.6" tall tire?
  2. 34yrs old, Superintendent at REC. Awesome job, pays well, and I only work 14days a month.
  3. Not as good as yours Ray, but this is what mine looked like with some neon feature. I'm not even sure what I did, made so many changes...looked kinda cool IMO
  4. Come to think of it, I had just under 3/4 of a tank. The other SS was near empty (light was on) I know this because I went to the gas station with him after we raced.
  5. Thanks Zippy...can you explain what a wideband is?
  6. I hoping to go to the track this month, but for now I have not ran my truck at the track. Ya, I was thinking I should be running a 13.8 or so. I also ran the same guy in his Joe Gibbs sc'd tahoe and he got me by 2 or 3 lengths, that hoe went 13.8 at the track with 6lbs of boost now I beleive he's at 9lbs. I think Im going to look into a street tune and 16" wheels.
  7. Just curious what the difference is between a mail order and street tune. Is there that big of a difference? The reason I ask is recently I raced another AWD SS with no mods except for a street tune and he was on stock 20's. Anyway we raced twice and we were basically even the first race and I had him by a nose maybe half a truck on the second run. I've got considerably more mods (see sig) than he does, granted I was on 22's, though I did not think they would make that big of a difference. Only thing I can think of is the difference in tunes. Any ideas? My truck seems to run hard so I dont understand. Any info is appreciated.

    Disappointed

Ya we went from a dig. The hoe was SC'd, makes me feel a little better... The guy in the hoe also changed his pulley, I guess he was running 6lbs boost before now he's around 9lbs. What gets me though is the other SS, how could we be so close?
  9. Nice...riding quads with the fam is a good time. My wife has ridin my LTR-450 but never got out of 1st gear, she thinks there dangerous.

    Disappointed

Raced a Joe Gibbs SC'd Tahoe today and got my *ss handed to me. I'd say I lost by about 2 or 3 lengths. I was told the hoe ran a 13.8 in the quarter. I thought I'd be hitting at least close to that with my added mods??? I then raced the same guy in his SS with a street tune only, the first raced we finished neck and neck, the second I got him by a nose maybe half a truck . Sorry no vid, maybe OUT2WIN got it, we'll see. Could it be my 22's are killing me? Maybe its the tune, I noticed my truck is shifting at 5800rpm. What do yall think?
  11. My before and after...the SS now has a 2/2 drop (not seen in pic) and many mods.
  12. Congrats on the payoff, like many I usually sell/trade in my vehicles before their payed for. I'm on track to have the SS payed off by Dec 09 (2yrs early). I plan to keep her and get into a Camaro SS
  13. I'm open on Sept 21 and 28, except I was trying make it the track on one of those weekends. Has the exact date been set?
  14. I wish my wife would let me gat a JD maybe i'll her mow once, that will change her mind
  15. Sweet, another Washington SS Welcome to the site...where you from?
  16. I love my Dynatech and Corsa Sport combo
  17. It's still an 03...get your moneys worth; have fun and drive it, there's not a big difference compared to higher mileage vehicles vs lower mileage vehicles.
  18. My tranny guy also mentioned the spring being broke, fortunatley mine was not...everything is good as far as the shop could tell.
  19. Don't ask just take it My wife hates the way my SS drives, I love it that way Welcome to the site, nice to see another WA SS.
  20. Typically if you and the other party agreed and signed an agreement, it should stick. Just like a contract. I'd point out the fact how many times the other party has tried to change the agreement, where's it gonna end? Good luck Oh and keep up on the insurance next time...
  21. Its just weird that before all the shifts (with the shift kit installed) were the same and from one day to the next the 1-2 shift all of a sudden shifts hard under light load. Oh well I drive it as is for now and see what happens.... Fireman was your 1-2 shifting hard from the get go or did it change as mine did?
  22. Accumalator was replaced with Zippy's kit. Trans guy said they checked everything they could think of? Their thinking of replacing the line pressure soleniod. One guy from the trans shop told me he thought my PCM should be checked. They dont know I've had it re-tuned. What do you all think, is my SS operating as it should. Am I worrying for nothing...
  23. I thought I did, I asked Zippy if his kit came with one he said it did.
