  1. I went 14.39 with those mods (minus the shift kit) but on 16's and no tailgate. I ran a truck recently (with my LT's and retune) in the 1/4 (no times) that has run 13.86, he beat me by 1/2 truck. So Im hoping to dip into the 13.9's or maybe 14.0's. I will be heading the track next weekend to find out.

Good luck with your times, post them when your done.

  2. I lived in Kirkland, Redmond, Everett and Marysville. Marysville the longest. I moved up to Washington in 92 and worked for Boeing until I got laid off on 1/1/03. I've been to alot of concerts there and had some of the best times ever!

Thats sucks you got laid off after so long...seems like we always here of lay offs at Boeing. Ive had my share of fun in your old neck of the woods. 92'...thats when I graduated - how time flies.

  3. Dude I'm not meaning to say your a liar or you don;t have a sweet truck but the quad cabs are all autos as crazymopar said and if it had no wheelspin and was racing is just seems like it could do better then 14s

:dupe: I agree, they should be faster with 500hp but this one wasn't for whatever reason. Again, I hear those V10's suffer SEVERLY from heat soak. I realize he should have beat me but the only reason I asked to race the guy is cause I seen a stock Lighting beat him by about 5 lenths and a VHO (who was his brothers truck) beat him by a truck. Anyway you see it I chalk it up as a win!

OUT2WIN can you post up that Vid of me and the SRT10 from racewars?

  4. congrats man. Looks like all you need is some rug rats (kids) running around. :jester:

Got one, a beautiful 8 yr old little girl. I have joint custody so I get to see her quite often. She is an absolute joy in my life!

  5. I don't doubt you. A SRT-10 quad cab in the hands of someone that doesn't know how to drive it could run in the mid 14's. I'm sure the same could be said for a 99-00 Lightning.

    Thanks Show Time...Nice Truck too!

  6. Good deal man!!! What do you do for a living?

Im employed at a poly silicon plant, some what like a refinery. We make Silane gas and the raw material for solar panels. I started 11 yrs ago in a entry level position and through the years recently promoted to a Superintendent.

  7. Yeah unless you ran juice or he wasn't racing i have doubts that you pulled on a srt even if it was a quad cab those things can still haul

There was a Vid of the race at one time on this site. Some one from the event we raced at posted it. I guarantee I wasnt on the juice, why do you doubt me? A fellow SS bro

  8. Lifes good! Moved in to our new custom built home earlier this year, UGS, lawn, and curbing are in for now. Married to the girl of my dreams (really) and got promoted at work, all this year! Things are great...I am very fortunate and appreciative.

Im not bragging but there was a time in my life (not that long ago) when things werent looking so good. With a little hard work and will...things can change, Im proof of that.

  9. Im not impressed with those trucks (Quad Cabs) at all. I raced one last year in the 1/4 and beat him by 1/2 a truck with 22's. The guy did not spin and had an automatic, though I hear those V10's suffer severly from heat soak...I remember the guy telling me his truck was not broke in yet, thats why he lost. He told me his truck had 10k on it, ya right not broke in my ass! Anyway good kill!!!

  10. I wasnt impressed by those Quad Cab SRT10 either. I raced one in a 1/4 race, he didnt spin and had an automatic, I beat him by 1/2 truck? I hear they suffer severly from heat soak though, maybe that was his problem...I remember the driver telling me his truck wasnt broke in yet and that his SRT only had 10k on it? WTF?

    Good Kill!!!

  11. Bags have no place on an SS IMHO, however, my last truck was bagged and I put around 20K on it with bags and never had one one problem. Its all in the quality of the equipment and the installation.

I hail from Seattle, WA and i sold the last one because it got to the point where i didnt want to drive it (bags are a pain for every day driving). So i bought a daily and then i never drove it, just sat in the garage and i would drive it once a month. Thats just a waste, so I sold it.

Welcome, another WA SS...nice truck (cool color).
