  1. IDK much about tuning so bare with me. Anyway my current tune starts to pull timing at 130deg and my top end seems to be way off. Im getting another tune where timing wont be pulled until 160deg, is that going to be safe for my SS?

    Wtb Pcm

    I have an 05 SS and am looking for a spare PCM to have tuned. Does the PCM I purchase need to be from an 05 with a 6.0L? Or can it be an 05 PCM out of an 4.8 or 5.3? Does the PCM have to be from an 05? Thanks for the help
  3. Im gonna spend a liitle $ on the dyno/tune and see what happens, if its all good then ill go for the stall.
  4. Looking for a reasonably priced stock or unlocked PCM that will work for my 05 SS. My current tune is locked and I am going to have another shop tune my truck to see if I can get the bugs worked out. Let me know what you got

  7. Thanks for the info Zip I've also spoke to Wizard who has the same opinion as you, and has remove the front with no issues...thanks Wiz
  8. As far drivability goes, 2600 will be fine, and you'll still be able to tow if need be.
  9. Ive read several post on removing the front drive shaft...the good the bad, some say its ok and others say dont do it. I've pretty much decided Im going to rmove it for the dyno only. My question is what precautions do I need to take...for example Ive heard placing it nuetral and not to use the brakes when slowing down. Is there anything else I need to know
  10. I was running on 16's...just horrible runs Its just weird cuz the truck runs actually good imo and doesnt feel bad at all. Like I said Im on my third mail order tune????

  12. Hey, Jerry...I didnt know you were browsing here? Welcome bro Ya I just dont get it, I can easily burn the tires now so its just confusing...Its definalty pulls better on the low end though Ive always questioned the top end? Im thinking Im gonna replace the tbtc to start and go from there

    Mods are Radix 112 w/3.0 pulley, 90mm TB, Dynatech LT w/hi flow cats, Corsa Sport, CAI, Nelson Tune (mail order), Zippy shift kit, TBTC, SLP 160 t-stat, transgo tranny cooler. I hear the TBTC and radix combo is whats hurting me, any opinions?

    I ran the 14.43 at the track. I was questioning the G-tech cuz my buddy ran 13.4xx with his G-tech and only ran a 14.34 at the track...big difference.
  18. Ya I suppose, just bums me out...I had such high hopes to run a low 13. Ill head back later in the year when its like 45 deg out and see what happens.
  19. Any one notice a difference for the worse when adding a radix to a TBTC? I had a disappointing experience this past weekend and have heard negative things about the TBTC when behind a radix'd truck. Any help is appreciated Thanks

    Well guys, my first experience at the track with the radix was not so good. I ran absolutely terrible! My best time was 14.43 with a 2.03 60ft I just dont get it? My best trap speed was 93mph?????? Im really going backwards now I think. Track officials says times are now corrected per NHRA rules and set at 22 or 2300 feet above sea level. Outside temps were about 83ish. Truck feels strong, way stronger than before the radix. Im just very disappointed and a lil upset. Where do I go from here.....anyone want an SS I just may have the slowest SS on here Anyone have any ideas? I went with the following other vehicles and their runs were slow as well... SRT8 Challenger = a best of 13.85 Lighting went 13.50 (lots of mods)...I was there last year when he went 13.55 stock? Modded Harley Davidson (G teched 13.4x) and ran 14.34 Stock HD went 15.0xx So we were all disappointed. Anyone know how accurate those G techs are, just curious?
