And then your contact info: Name, address, daytime ph.# (Or mobile#) If you prefer, wait until I get some more positive replies, enough that I can write the letter, and then I'll get your info. from you later. Maybe a PM will be better than a post for personal data ...

SS's have the Z51 suspension pkg., so they will ride a little stiffer/bumpier than a regular truck.

Here it is boys. I'd like to know who I could place on a letter to GM about the still unresolved steering mechanism clunking that is a common problem to all of our trucks. If I can get enough votes, I'll draft a letter to GM with everyone's information so that we have a chance of seeing a fix for this issue. Your support is of course, very appreciated. I've heard of this... some people up the dosage to 12, and they can sleep just about anywhere... IE: on the toilet, head first on the stairs, the back of your truck, sidewalk, jail. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Once a spammer gets a hold of your domain name (ex. [email protected]) it can be hard to control emails that are sent to/from your domain, unless you are the server admin., and can configure MS Server 2003. I've read about an authentication that MS Server 2003 uses to check a valid email at a domain vs. one that it receives which is spoofed, and when it comes back as invalid, the server will trash the email instead of forwarding it to the intended recipient. It's always good to run software on your client PC's to check for bugs that link to your address book & send emails using those entries. If the problem is server-side, contact your admin to see what can be done.

YES, the custom tune will be lost if you have someone load a factory 'tune' into your PCM.

Once you've read the info. from the website, you have a few options to get the update 'pushed' into the vehicle. 1). Locate someone with a suitable programming device that can perform the update for you. Suitable programmers include the Dealer Scan Tool (Tech 2), or some aftermarket scan tool capable of programming. (Genisys, MasterTech, EASE Diagnostics SPS, EASE Diagnostics J2534, BlueStreak, Actia, Drew Tech, EEPod LLC, CARDONE, etc.) 2). Take your vehicle to the dealer, and ask them to load all of the updates into your vehicle. In some cases, you might get a treat because some service-related issues are fixed by programming, so you might already get the update when your truck gets serviced!

I agree with MontanaSS ... I've jumped a few Titans off of traffic lights here in Charlotte ... stock or not, they learned real fast what the tailgate of an SSS looks like ... You know what still cracks me up ... are the guys with HEMI's. They think their truck is so badass ... and when you get 'em off the line, you can see them trying to figure out what just happened ...

Hey guys, A little tech reference, for those that didn't know ... GM has a free website where you can look up all the computer modules that are on your vehicle, see if there are known problems from those modules, and if GM has released a software update for that module to fix the problem. Kind of like what Grim_Smoker ran into recently. His Driver's Seat module is starting to have some delays on entry and exit. GM did issue a software update for this problem. Here's the website: http://calid.gm.com Simply enter your VIN and step through the rest of it ... Nothing beats FREE information!

GM issued a reflash to the driver's seat module that should take care of this problem. Shouldn't cost you anything.

... I believe an IQ test should also be given ... that way we can have Time Restrictions on those who don't make the cut .... .... We get tons of them here too ... Especially when I work Road Details (Construction Jobs directing traffic) They give me tons of Dumb looks, when all they have to do is use a turn signal. that will let me know their intentions with one action. I usually tell people who still insist on pointing, instead of signaling. that Directionals are Standard Equipment ... Tell me about this trick. Where is the diode placed?

Maybe it's the fact that I live in the south now instead of up in Yankee area ... Maybe it's the fact that I'm sometimes just not patient enough ... OR, maybe it's that there's SOOOOOOO MANY lazy, disrespectful drivers on the roads here in Charlotte ... I just don't understand why people don't know how to use a turn signal anymore ... Again today, I am leaving my driveway, waiting to turn right, and a Suburban is approaching from my left, about 150 feet away ... So, I wait ... And wait ... And wait ... THEN, 2 feet from me, he turns into the driveway across the street from me ... And, no disrespect to anyone in this forum ... but it is usually black drivers ... WHY is it this way? Has there been some change in the driver's manual since I last read it more than 11 years ago? Is it safe to presume that someone in a turn-only lane w/ no signal on will actually make the turn, especially when I've found myself ducking out of turn only lanes because I don't want to make the turn ... ? Please ... someone tell me what I am missing here ...
