  1. Resolve carpet cleaner & a brush are pretty good with oil & grease stains.
  2. Do you have a digi. cam. that takes videos?
  3. I know to access the HVAC control head, you have to pull off the 1-piece trim panel that surrounds it ... held in by snap locks, comes out easy. Other than that ... I really don't know what you need to do. I am sure someone else here does know, though ...
  4. Good job guys, keep the votes coming. I need as many as we can get. Probably once we get around 50, I'll start send you all PM's to collect your information. Thanks guys!
  5. Are you selling it? How much do you want for it? 28269
  6. Not only do you have to add the lights to the factory harness and the switch to the dash to turn them on, but you also have to reprogram the body module to recognize the new hardware that you've added. Otherwise, the fog lamps will not work at all. The body module doesn't know to look for the new 'input' switch that you've added, and doesn't know how to process that input once it receives the request to turn on the fog lights.
  7. Here's some new information, I found out tonight, guys ... GM has released a software update for the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) to address a cluster's non-responsiveness ... so, this may fix your problems ... "Part#: 15124091 CVN#:0000C778: New software in lieu of replacing hardware to address warranty issue with all IPC cluster gauges being inoperative" THis new software may fix all of your problems ... let me know ...
  8. What this description means is that GM has released a new calibration for your vehicle which will improve (enhance) the software to help technicians diagnose the cause of code P2108: Throttle Actuator Control Module Performance. So ... if you ever have this problem during the life of your vehicle, new software will help techs. identify the problem faster, and fix it faster. Will this new GM software change the way your vehicle performs? No. Will it improve anything with the way the computer manages engine functions? No. Aside of the P2108 Diagnostic Enhancement. Would I make a dedicated effort to have this new software loaded into my vehicle? Nah ... it doesn't change vehicle performance ... so no need.
  9. As low as you can go ... how much do you want, and what condition is it in?
  10. I'm looking for the OEM unit. I do appreciate your response. Thank You!
  11. Looking for anyone that wants to sell their underseat storage bin, GM PART # 12498846. I don't really see the need to pay $333 for a piece of plastic ... Let me know. Thanks!
  12. Son you'd best pull in yer horns and quit kickin' up a row... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice Dude!
  13. "I've lived in too many places to have a distinct accent." Translation = I'm a mutt ...
  14. This combo. is a waste of money. The new AmsOil Ea filter will last as long as their oil change interval ... 25,000 miles. If you mix it with Mobil1, you'll need to change the filter @ 3000 mi. and throw away about $40 for the filter. When you do the math, using AmsOil is a clear choice: 8 oil changes in 25,000 miles @ $20 a change is $160. To run AmsOil, which is 1 change in 25,000 miles, you'll pay about $80. (And put the $80 you saved towards that N'Sync Collector's Edition CD Set you've always wanted ...) Plus, you'll see gains in fuel economy. (Which, I know most of the guys on here aren't concerned about ...) When I first got my SS I was lucky to 16 MPG on the Hwy. Now that I run AmsOil 0W-30 in the motor, the Ea Oil Filter, their Ea Air Filter, and the Severe Duty ATF in the Tranny, I can get about 20 MPG on the Hwy. Show me a SSS that gets 20 MPG that's not running AmsOil ... Plus, I noticed much smoother shifting once I had the ATF in.
  15. WHAT? You wanna try that again??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  16. When we have enough people on here that want to be listed as vehicle owners that have this recurring problem with still no fix from the manufacturer, I'll draft a letter stating the problem, and list everyone's name, VIN, and contact info. on it. Was also thinking about including a clause in there about requesting that GM buy the vehicles back from us, since they have not come up with a fix for it yet. Now, don't get me wrong, I do not want to retire my SS in any way, rather that would be used as a tool to aid in all of us getting the problem finally fixed. If you were GM, and you had to buy back 100+ vehicles at avg. $25,000 ea., (2.5 mil.+), I am sure that you'd figure out a solution ... fast.
  17. Frank will have to have a data subscription to GM's factory CAL's in order to load an update that you find on this website. GM isn't giving the software away for free, ya know ... The subscription runs anywhere from $800-$1200, since GM doesn't have daily internet access capability to download the update. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless of course, Frank is a GM Tech and has access to a dealer TSS subscription. Then, I think you can download CAL's for GM vehicles ...

  19. This is where I started to get a tear ... because there are so many good people in this industry, and that's pretty much all I have ever known my entire life. My Dad manages 3 parts stores in the Poconos. I started working for a Scan Tool company while in PA, and met alot of great people all over the country. I mean these are people that share the same interests as you do ... but they're also just awesome people with great personalities on top of it. Moved to Charlotte, hooked up with a Tool Distributor, and got to meet guys in the shops one by one. There are definitely some guys that I've only come to know in the last year, but I tell you what, I'll do anything they need if they ever call me. And that's just because they've extended me the same courtesy not long after I met them. It's more than work at that level. You know you always have someplace to go, and they're waiting there with open arms to help you with anything you need. These become the people you go and have a beer with after work. BBQ with on the weekend, and watch football games together. That's Love. That's family. K, I'm done. I'm gonna go find some kleenex now ...
  20. I'm diggin' the air dam on the bottom of the SSS's bumper cover. I've never seen that before. Makes it look like you took someone with a chiseled jaw, and added a cleft to their chin. (Like the chin operation in Me, Myself, and Irene) Looks good! (I'm not much of a Found On Road Dead fan though ... sorry)
  21. ...and a fuse it was. A 50 Amp fuse located in the fuse block under the hood. The dealer ran all sorts of tests trying to figure out why it blew. Right now it appears it was just one of those odd things that sometimes happen. Thanks to all who tried to help. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Boy, do I feel like a moron. Ended up chasing a ghost ... man, I hate when that happens.
