  1. Oh, the courtesy lamp option is a feature in the Driver Information Center. It's a menu option that you can navigate to from the driver's seat, using the buttons on the steering wheel.
  2. I'll check it and get right back to you. I don't think the passenger window will go down. Wife should be back in just a few minutes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Passenger side window will not go down. Passenger side mirror will adjust and fold in from the drivers side controls. Picture me scratching head... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I presume you tried pass. window from driver's side ... correct? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes - tried passenger window from drivers side controls - no power Try putting the pass. window down from the pass. side window switch & tell me what happens ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Attempted to put the passenger window down with the passenger side switch - no power Also, try activating all switches from the pass. side & let me know the end result. (Door locks- lock/unlock, window- up/down, I think you already said heater won't work ... right?) And, please check door lock/unlock from driver's side. See if pass. door locks/unlocks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only working funtion on the passenger side door controls is the door lock/unlock. This function also works when operated from the drivers side controls. Then, 1 last test, using the remote, lock/unlock your doors, and see if pass. courtesy lamp under the side mirror comes on (If you have that feature enabled in the Driver Information Center). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I must not have the courtesy lamp function turned on. Neither come on. Which function turns courtesy lamp on??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok ... based on the information you gave me, it's possible the Passenger Door Module appears to be 90% or better off of the vehicle network. (Or it could be getting bad voltage/data from some other place on the vehicle if there's a shorted wire somewhere) Try this ... there are several connectors under the pass. seat. There is 1 large connector behind the pass. seat where wires come up from under the carpet and go to the different drive motors under the seat. Right next to this large connector there is a smaller connector, with 2 wires. With the vehicle ignition sw. OFF, double-check these connectors. Unplug them and re-plug them to ensure that the connection they have is good. Also, check ALL the wires coming in and going out of them. See that none of them are rubbing on metal anywhere, including the track that the seat is on. Next, under the front of the pass. seat, there is a smaller module, if you have automatic pass. airbag. This is a seat pressure sensor for enabling/disabling the pass. airbag. Check this harness with the key off. Unplug/replug it, make sure the connection is good. Now, if after you do all this and still have no luck, the dealer should be your next stop. Reason being, the problem may or may not be related to the vehicle network, and IF it is network related, diagnosing a network problem can be very tedious, and factory diagnostic tools will have the ability to do so. Now, if it truly is power related, I'm afraid I can't help you there, as I have no way of accessing wiring schematics for SSS's. I did check the driver's fuse panel in my 2003, but didn't see anything in there relating to seat motors. Not sure where the other fuse panels are on the truck. Best of luck!

  4. Driver's side & passenger side are 2 different beasts ... Driver's side has it's own module that controls seat functions. Passenger doesn't, just receives signal from passenger door module for seat heater. However, passenger also has that seat pressure sensor that sends signal onto the vehicle network to enable/disable pass. airbag. On yours, it could simply be the fwd./rev. switch. One way to verify that is to use the seat memory/easy exit switches. If the seat moves fwd./rev. when switching between the driver profiles, the module is definitely able to command the motors to move, so you know the motor is good. If the module isn't seeing the input from the switch on the side, it won't move the motor to move the seat. Fun stuff, huh?
  5. What happens if you try to move the passenger mirror from the driver's side, put the passenger window down from the driver's side, or try folding the mirrors in? Does anything on the passenger side respond to your requests?
  6. Just tell your buddy that you don't have an LS1 OR an LS2. Then tell him you have a prototype LQ9, which GM is intending to be the next LS7 ...
  7. I'm with the group ... go for the black one. It has some additional equipment that the blue one doesn't ... bug guard, VentShades, mudflaps, XM Receiver/Antenna, and a Tonneau Cover. The choice is obvious ...
  8. thats all fine and dandy. . . but wheres your ex at? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL. Actually, she just moved from here to outside of Tampa with her fiance.
  9. I bought a '94 Z28 as soon as I got out of HS. Here's an old pic of it, w/ my GF at the time: There were many good memories as well as sets of smoked tires with this car! Plus, I'm not too fond of an orange instrument cluster and interior switches that have an orange hue. But, the WS6 is, w/o a doubt an awesome ride. I do believe that I am a little biased ... Oh ... by the way, JAC that car IS up north ... just have to know how to drive it in the white stuff ...
  10. I used the magnetic lasso. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's why the truck looks kind of pixelated around the edges ... There's times when the magnetic lasso is good, but not sure that I like the calculations it does to determine the next spot in the image to snap to. But, as you use it, you will develop your preferences. Nice first sig! Welcome to SSS!
  11. I dunno, guys ... I agree the truck's badass ... but ... I'm not diggin' the whole concept of rig wheels on a pickup ... Anyone with me on that?
  12. Not bad lookin', huh? ;) I got to stare at her ALL WEEK LOOOONNNGG .... lol. AND escort her to lunch and the bathroom ... I'm in the middle ... right where there's good holdin'!
  13. Looks like it'll be more than $100 to ship them to you, UPS. Want to get them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Check out FedEx. I used them to ship 4 rims and cost was under $100. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i have to agree with fedex. i was going to ship my exhaust back to bowtie in ohio and ups was gonna charge me over 120 bucks. went to fedex and got the shipping down to 46 bucks. piss on ups. also i never used them but dave also mentioned greyhound bus company being cheap shipping as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, FedEx did come out a little cheaper, about $20 a tire. But I also had the estimate over $100 to help with 4 big boxes I'll have to buy to ship these monsters, unless you guys have some creative ideas ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Go to your local store(Kroger, Wal-Mart, Food Lion) or whatever you have in your area and see if they will give you a few boxes(4). You can usually get boxes big enough to ship your tires for free and can cut and tape them to work with your tires. If they don't have any boxes big enough get 2 boxes(per tire) and cut and tape to make one box. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good idea! I'll check Wal-Mart tonight & see what they have ...

  15. YES! Something exactly like that ... I would like for it to be able to fit one of these screens ... preferably the 8.4": https://xenarcdirect.com/product.php?produc...page=1&featured https://xenarcdirect.com/product.php?produc...page=1&featured Did you make that or is it available from somewhere? Where did you move the cig plugs to?
  16. I guess I'm not understanding the concept of a 'group buy' ... If several people on here all pitched in for 1 cowl hood, then who gets it for their truck? Does everyone share the hood? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's funny, sorry! A group buy just means that everyone in on the GB gets a lower price compared to just one person buying it on his own. It is because of the quantity the price is lowered. Oh ya, everyone gets their own hood. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok. I guess I was not thinking ... if there was something in there about Qty. discount I probably would have understood ... my bad guys. It's good y'all prolly got a good chuckle off my ass ...

  18. What did you use for trim? Make your own? Got pics?
  19. There are several things that make it pricy. First, it has the Hypertech name on it ... big bucks there. Second, is the fact that it's locked in to just the vehicle you purchase it for. So, you have to consider your investment. Do you want to spend a grand on a blue and white touchscreen that will be dedicated to ONLY your vehicle forever? What if you sell your SS ... and say ... get a Titan. You'll have to get a whole new HyperPac ... presuming they make one for Nissans, which I don't think they do. I also went to their website and it appears that they don't support the Silverado SS motor. I did a lookup and could only find the 6.0L (U) that comes in the 2500 HD for '03, '04, '05, and '06. Not the VIN (N) SS Motor. I was considering getting a HyperPac when I first saw it. It looked cool, and it also looked like a great investment. Then, I started seeing all of the little things I COULDN'T do with it. I'm shifting my investment towards and in-car PC instead. This way, I'll have a touchscreen I can run any Windows-based program on any time I like. I can watch DVD's while I drive (Hope no cops are reading this) I can run MS Office on it, I can have internet wherever I go, and I'll spend maybe just $400 more than a HyperPac. It'll be in full color, and if I want to move it to another vehicle, there's nothing stopping me, it'll still work. And then, to be able to add performance software that's in full color, has touchscreen nav., and has cool gauges, graphs, and charts for only $228 instead of $900 ... I'm there!
