  2. thats what im talking about, hell the one day i was out in the truck [before tear down again] i was just idling at a redlight and this ricer i say ricer cause he fit the stereotype. well before we got to the light he was just reving alittle louder then he had to. well we were just siting there and you can hear a nice lobe from my previous cam. i looked over and noticed the two was looking over but didnt say or do anything. when light turned green i just drove off a little quick to get up to speed and those kids just waited alittle then proceeded thru the light. i honestly thought they would of tried to run. years ago when i had my s10 i had every little punk try to race me. it was a freaking s10 but now i guess they are expecting what some outcomes are going to be lately. years ago i would of laughed if an import wanted to race now today you have imports taht are quick. now if you didnt know anybetter would you expect Ms. soccer mom to spank you with her new SRT-8 or TBSS? i sure wouldnt think she could but reallity she probably has a few 12s slips in hte glovebox
  3. it seems that alot of vehicles are being modded cause of trends. youre always going to have a intermediate chassis or pony car modded up. but for the past 6 yrs it seems that the import crowd was the hotness and its dying off some as its not so unexpecting to be a fast import. you still get some ricers out there but as of recent it seems that the swing of things are now trucks/stationwagons. you now have trucks/stationwagons dipping into 10s that are daily driven. full weight beasts that weight in over 2 tons or more[depending on application] over a decade ago they had the two from GM typhoon and sychone but today you now have the SRT-8,SRT-10,SSS,TBSS and etc. with ppl driving the SRT-8 and TBSs times have been seen in the 12s at full weight. now do you think the import scene will now die off some and the swing of modded trucks carry on as the imports did or what do you think? before you laughed when an import would want to race you and you just shook your head but that same import could of made a nice 12s pass. but now would you even think twice of racing Ms soccer mom in her station wagon and her glove box full of 12s time slips where do you stand on this new trend
  4. my cam i just sold was close to that. it was 222/222 .566/.566 112 and it worked nice. had a strong pull but i wanted more so i went with a 232/234 .595/.598 112 on XER lobes for NA that cam listed will work wonders but your stock intake might restrict you some on the topend of that cam <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which cam is more agressive Thunder Racing 99-TR224/227-114 or comp 224/224 566/568 @ 12? If the Thunder Racing 99-TR224/227-114 isn't that much more agressive I might go with the 2nd cam. Thanks, Jeremy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 99-TR224/224-112 Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA 1700-6600 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. View Dyno Graph heres the TR cam with 112 lsa. the difference isnt much but thunder seems to be more aggressive company. and it has a dyno chart for that cam. also remember a 6.0 will eat about 2 to 4 degrees of duration. which means a 224 in a ls1 is nice but the 6.0 will tame it some. but with a 5500lb truck i would worry about lost of low end some thing like the 99-CHEATR-CAM Thunder Racing Custom "CheaTR" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Works well with stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Double valve springs and titanium retainers required for this cam. this cam would probably work best for you
  5. my cam i just sold was close to that. it was 222/222 .566/.566 112 and it worked nice. had a strong pull but i wanted more so i went with a 232/234 .595/.598 112 on XER lobes for NA that cam listed will work wonders but your stock intake might restrict you some on the topend of that cam

Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. 3200+ stall, 3.42+ gear, computer tuning required.
