  1. The more power you have, the more power you want. The rush wears off and you'll need more power to replace it. I like the Chevy SS, and I've been a Chevy man my whole life until I took a test ride in my truck, so I'm not here to rag on anybody's ride. Believe me when I tell you that you want a supercharger on your truck. Ask anyone here that has one if they think it was worth it, it is............................
  2. It's considered a SVT F-150. But it has a few things added besides a supercharger. I agree with CrAzYMoPaRGuy that you might have your hands full with those mods. You'll really need to find an early stock Lightning (99-00), as those are the only ones I feel you might have a chance with. It will also help if you run into an owner that can't get it to hook up and spins the tires, as these trucks have a tremendous amount of torque right off the bottom. I've got traction bars on mine and it comes out of the hole like you wouldn't believe. Our trucks are lighter and have 450 lbs of torque and 380 hp, and that's if you can find a stock one. Sorry, but your best bet is to keep flogging the regular F-150s until you get a supercharger..................
  3. Too bad I didn't live closer to you so you could try to F*%k my Ford............ right now your furd would put a brussin on me, but after i get my mods in, i'll be droppin duces on those lightnings quick fast. i hardly see any of em around here anyway. What are your plans?
  4. Too bad I didn't live closer to you so you could try to F*%k my Ford............
  5. I got to agree with SSThunder on this one. With a title of "dead...went down easy" it doesn't really show respect on a SS forum, and I also own a furd....................
  6. Funny! I get it - supercharger = blows. LOL. By the way Show Time, that is a very sharp looking truck...for a Ford. Mike Thanks, I've been a Chevy man all my life until I drove my truck. I was trying to find a Joe Gibbs truck, but I didn't have any luck going that way. I really never thought I'd ever buy a Ford until I found my Lightning. I know we kid each other about Chevy/Ford/ Dodge/ Import, but after all, we are into trucks and in most cases fast and fun trucks. The only thing that I consider really sucks is we keep getting into trouble when we go out and have fun with our trucks. Take Care, Show Time........
  7. Really, I could say they same thing about some Chevy's but I don't. My Ford doesn't suck, it runs very nice....

    F-150's

Hey Mike, want to hand me the tailgate on my Ford........
  9. Quad cabs are pretty close to a stock Lightning, but regular cabs are about 3/10 of a second quicker through the quarter. Since my truck has been lowered and also has traction bars, a CAI, a Predator tune and a tranny mod, I would say I might have an chance with a stocker. But they would need to make a perfect hole shot, not to high revs when the drop the clutch or they will wheel spin, and not too low of rpms or they will bog. With my set-up I just hold the brake and rev it up to 1,200 rpm and then slowly floor the gas as I let off the brake and it pulls like bad dog with no wheel spin. I raced a friend that has a modified 96 ci H-D Road Glide and we race on an old two lane road that turns into one lane and he was on the right side of my truck when we both hit it and we stayed side by side up to about 90 mph until I let off when the lane turned into one, and when I asked him how bad I spun he told me not at all, and he was right next to my truck the whole time. A stock SRT-10 will be faster than a stock Lightning, but the Lightning will be easier to drive for the novice. So far I have only ran into one regular cab SRT-10, and it's owned by an older (75+) guy who just waves when we meet up. Maybe this summer when I go to Infinion Raceway I'll run into one and find out just how close I really am.
  10. That's how I feel whenever a SRT-10 pulls up along side of me. So far I haven't had any takers...............
  11. Lucky you saw the cop. What are your mods?????
  12. I've been known to have stir-fry........
  13. That is addicting. When I first got mine I was punching it all the time just to hear that sound. If you remove the stock air box and put on a K&N cone filter it's even louder..........
  14. that's cheesy give 'em a nice healthy rev at a red light........... That's what I like, cheesy. Pull out my old cardboard sign like the street beggers have -"WILL RACE FOR FOOD".
  15. That's good to know about the H-D's, but according to the article in the link I posted below, stock Lightning's run 0-60 in 5.2 and do the quarter in 13.7 with a top speed of 146 mph. What H-D cabs are you saying come with blowers? I have never seen a regular cab H-D. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/pickup...ning/index.html
  16. Not all of them suck.................... those lightnings are quick, but too bad they look like decomposing shit! Is that any way to treat a new member here?????????? dude your truck is badass Thanks, that's a lot better than it looks like decomposing shit. alright, lets just say I don't like the looks of the lightning, at all. but their quick as hell though. I didn't either at first, but after driving one it tends to grow on you. It's all good.....
  17. Thanks, and I won't cause any trouble because I've always been a Chevy guy until I bought my L. I never liked Fords or stepsides either, but the blower whine makes them both tolerable..........
  18. I'd give it a go if someone did that.. BTW I love the pewter lightning, sweet color! Thanks. If somebody made up some nice signs that read "wanna run it", or something like that on them, like a pit sign, they might sell. I've been seriously thinking about taking the SVT and Lightning emblems off my truck, as every ricer that notices them wants to run it, and I'm not going to risk losing my license running them all.............
  19. No, I have kept the stock pullies on it, so it only puts out eight pounds of boost, but that is pretty fun!
  20. Not all of them suck.................... those lightnings are quick, but too bad they look like decomposing shit! Is that any way to treat a new member here?????????? dude your truck is badass Thanks, that's a lot better than it looks like decomposing shit.

  22. Come on, not all of them suck....................
  23. Maybe you could try having a cardboard sign printed in big letters saying " WANNA RACE? " with a smiley sign, sitting underneath your seat so you could pull it out when the time comes? I would have to laugh if someone pulled up to me and flashed me that sign with a grin on their face............
  24. I'm pretty sure they never came in a regular cab version. Not sure what years came with a supercharger........
  25. No, but have you ever seen a regular cab Harley-Davidson?
