  1. I plan on going, but won't pay until the last minute OR if I'm given a deadline. This is because I have a always changing work schedule and 3 small kids who have priority. I don't mean to be difficult, that's just the way it is. I have a feeling it's that way for a lot of people. I'm really stoked about going ! Just have to make sure it fits before I commit.
  2. GET A PATENT NOW !!!!! GO GO GO !!
  3. So...I'm liking the leafblower idea. May be onto something with this thread. Maybe an SSS.com members initiated, members created invention for adding HUGE HP gains for very little cost. But a leafblower may be to expensive to retrofit. Come on guys, let's brainstorm !
  4. That's hilarious ! I got the same response from a lady on c-list when I was recently selling my front axle. I'm fairly certain they're phishing. Here's how mine went...Just need to read in reverse order. Needless to say, I haven't heard back from them. I only accept paypal at the same address that I gave you for email. If this works, please add 3% paypal fee and we'll go from there. Thanks. Please if you are okay with my arrangement, reply back with your mailing address or po box address so that payment can be sent as soon as possible. My handler is my email address thanks. I dont mind adding an extra $20 just for you to keep it in my favor.Reply with your full name and address where payment should be sent, and a phone number where i can reach you. Please take the posting off craigslist today and consider it sold to me. Expecting to hear from you soon. Regards,
  5. Sorry for your loss and welcome to the site. I'm sure most of us have been down a similar path in one way or another. With that said, you've always got someone to listen/understand when you come to this site. Damn good group of people.
  6. It's worth about $50, but i'll give you $75 and pay the shipping
  7. I just unloaded the frame of my burned SS last week. I'll see if I can get ahold of the guy and pull them. He's a little flakey but shouldn't mind if he still has it. I'll try to get back to you later today.
  8. Look in my for sale of multiple parts. It's aluminum. Needs a little elbow grease to shine it up and it is an adhesive stick on, but if you want it, you can have it free.
  9. If the timing is right, I'd be at shauns for a headliner and maybe a few other things depending on when you're there. I know you narrowed it down to two weeks but if/when you have a more specific time in KC, I can plan/pay for what I want done. Last resort, I'll just try to get in on it last minute IF you have time available when you're there. Not sure how else to do this. Any ideas on your part, I'm all ears. Mike
  10. Nice and clean....Looks great man ! Somewhere along the lines i missed the fact that you even had that SS. . I'm so far out of touch sometimes. What did you use on the front ?
  11. You're correct on pricing for the Z06 upgrade. It'll vary depending on how well you do on the price you pay for things. There are deals to be had, but i did a LOT of looking over time and it'll be around $3000. The brembro and baer kits will go over $5K new for all four unless you come across someone unloading them (rare) or you can find used sets....even then it's gonna be pricey. If you're not ready to shell out that kind of money, you can always go the direction i did in the beginning. Get some drilled/slotted better stock sized rotors, good pads and more importantly stainless lines (Earls) and replace fluid with synthetic. Personally, i noticed a big difference when i did this. Of course, many on this site, me included, would argue that it's still not enough of an improvement to stop these big pigs when you really need to stop. Looking back and knowing what i know from what i've done, at the least i would do everything i just stated PLUS i would go with larger rotors if i had the money. Thats the very least i would do to make up for something that should've been done from the factory. When you get into your first fender bender with one of these trucks and you're standing on the brakes and it just won't stop, you'll realize how important it is. I was lucky...fairly low speed, someone pulled out in front of me a couple years back and i had stock brakes. The pig just wouldn't stop. That's when i started to learn a lot about brakes deficiencies on the SS.
  12. Go ahead with that address. And never mind all the magazines and junk mail you'll get. It's all just part of the deal
  13. It's a lot to get together on short notice, unless you've been saving for it. BTW............ SOLD Thanks guys !
  14. Bump with new price and opportunity to split this up. New price does not include brake lines.
  15. I personally would only do the chrome or aluminum look. BUT, I think the key to black wheels is how well they're done AND what's on the other side of them. Nice black wheels and a nice big brake kit behind them will definitely make me think twice about going that direction.
