  1. Tested the battery with dvm while truck is off = 10.6vdc, while truck is at idle = 14+/-vdc
  2. Yesterday afternoon I started the truck and let it idle with the a/c on for maybe 5-7 minutes cause it's hot as balls outside. Came out to get in and go, the air is blowing hot. I'm in a hurry to go check my uncles home a/c unit for him and take off. Of course in my haste, i forget to close the tailgate and dump my shopvac and some tools out the back in a busy road. So far this part of the day sucks. On the next ignition cycle, the a/c works fine so I don't sweat it too much. Today, I turn the key and it cranks sloooow but fires up. A/C is cooling fine but I noticed the stereo clock is wrong. I figure my original battery is 5 years old and is due to replace. Here's where it gets a little weird. While the truck is in park and idling, my fog lites and drl's are on, it's sunny out. Again I don't have time for this today so I pop the hood and yank the fog lamp relay. DRL's still on, shut truck off and restart, drl' stay off. Voltmeter hovers around 14volts. I guess my question is will the PCM or BCM do weird things like this when the batterry is dying? Obviously I'm shopping for a batterry but wanted to know if this was "normal" simply due to low voltage.TIA
  3. welcome I was born and partially raised in Bristol Most of my family up there has since passed on so I don't get back very often but if ever do, I'll holler at ya

  5. Damn, that figures. I haven't been on here for a while. I did got ot the race. FU Kyle Busch. I'm gonna check a couple places out and see if I can find somewhere cool to hang at. Be patient though I'm very limited on personal time these days.
  6. do you have passenger front door cladding for sale?
  7. Looking to replace just the bumper grill insert and passenger door cladding (black would be nice)
  8. If mine wasn't already screwed up, I would remove it and add more tape to the center and areas that might have any flex.
  9. I measured and compared doors and gaps on both sides and they seem to be identical. After 3 years and asking anyone who would listen, the only answer I could come up with is that maybe the cladding bows outward just slightly under the right weather conditions (high temp and humidity). I did some testing and there was no way the cladding has moved toward the fender or is positioned wrong. The only thing that made enough diiference to allow it to hit was pulliing the cladding away from door a little. These pieces are kinda tall and long and I think they are fastened only at the top by double sided tape and at the bottom by screws, so the middle area can be pushed or pulled away from the door. I'm not sure if there is any tape anywhere else to hold it against the door, if not I would def add some if it was replaced.
  10. Just got home after driving in the rain and snapped this pic of the cut out section, looks worse in the pic
  11. x2 for the Paradas, but again we don't get much snow in th sunshine state. They are awesome in the wet, I can't get em to brake loose at all. I am all stock and awd. The goodyears would break loose bad.
  12. yup, I'll get em up when I get home later
  13. I don't see the problem, looks like an awesome spot for a winch and wakeboard session. JK That suck bro, all the best.
  14. I feel your pain about the cladding. Mine did the same exact thing. I had to shave a half moon section out of the pass. door piece to allow the door to open. I got an estimate of $400 to have it replaced and painted. that was 3 years ago, and i'm still driving it like that and waiting to find the right deal or have the money to do it right and get the repair warranty. i bought the truck used (no warranty) in August of 05. I used to park it so that the sun was on the passenger side and within a month the cladding screwed up. I"ve since been parking the opposite way so the sun hits the driver side. No problems on that side, so why does it seem to be consistent with the passenger side hitting? Seems like a mfg defect? I bitched about it to the dealer, but all that got me was some therapy. I hate to think that if I do get t replaced, it may do the same thing. I guess at some point, I had to accept the "minor" issues that seem to be inherint in these trucks cause I love it too much to consider parting with it. Sorry, this probably doesn 't help much other than--welcome to the club.
  15. Hey, I resemble that remark. Actually my last name is Campbell aand my middle initial is M. When people ask what my middle initial stands for, my reply is "mmm good"
  16. Ride up the road to Tampa, it's much closer than Otown. Tampa has plenty of night life, just do some research about where not to go if ya know what I mean. I'm in Orlando but don't spend enough time on the Gulf coast to give you specific hot spots. As mentioned above, when your on the coast, it's pretty quiet and relaxing, hence the many retirement communities. Tampa would def be the town for night life, I know there are some famous adult establishments there.
  17. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I'm just a few miles away from you I think. Lk Nona is off of Narcosse Rd right? I'm up the road maybe 20 minutes off of Goldenrod Rd. I take my daughter to gymnastics on Narcosse Rd every Wed and Fri evening. Well, usually I'm the one to take her, but lately I've been working out of town a lot. I'll keep an eye out for ya, and if you need any help finding your way around, I've been here a while so don't hesitate to ask.
  18. ^^^yea I here ya, I figure the average lowlife scumbag might move next door and look for the easiest prey
  19. Just thought I'd throw this out there. I recently had an epiphamy(sp). I figure with gas prices climbing rediculously, the next epidemic may be gas theft. Actually, it may have already started. So I decide to invest in locking caps for both vehicles. Around $12 per cap or = to 3 gallons of fuel may give you a better chance at unnecessary expense of replacing stolen gas. Sorry if this thought is a repost.
  20. 20 feet wide according to the write up, that's 2.5 lanes. no way it can run on the streets legally
