  2. 1980 Pontaic Sunbird, dark brown, GF called it the "Sunturd". 2.5 4cyl, 4speed manual, manual steering-brakes,all cable clutch,no A/C. paid $100 in 1988. I actually still like that car, I think it would be cool to modify into mini Firebird clone.
  3. My regards and best wishes. The best thing to do is stay positive no matter what. I've been through a few family members with varying types of cancer and it seems that when the person loses hope, they inevitably start to decline. Please focus on all things good in your life stay focused.
  4. Amazing but a little freaky, looks like something from a SciFi movie I might have nightmares now
  5. cool, I'm guessing new race car? Or the old one rebuilt? I'm sure you posted about already, I probably missed it. BTW that teddt bear is really cute, that should git ya some ribbin at the track
  6. I feel your pain. Does it look like the cladding on the door is hitting the fender when opening the door?

  8. daaaaaaaaaaam! good stuff. seems like I remember this kill getting posted here in the street section when it first happened. I remember thinking if they only knew you had a heavy load from Home Depot in that heavy truck.
  9. Yea the catch is..... it was supposed to come to my house I applied for that trip. Looks like a great experience.
  10. Just wanted to share a positive experience getting somer repairs done. I always get nervous about trusting the service dep't with any vehicle but this one seems to have gone well. replaced gauge cluster: no charge (thanks GM) replaced clunkity (technical term) steering shaft: no charge due to previous service history, not sure if this was the dealerships generosity (I doubt it) or GM's doing? replaced front diff: $100 deductible, remanufactured parts provided by warranty company. The dealership estimated the repairs with the Jasper unit which I was excited about, but I don't know what I ended up with. 10 days rental car: no charge, warranty company pays $28 per day, got a lame ass Kia Rondo so far the only stress has been 10 days without the truck, or as my daughter calls it, "daddys baby. P.S. my warranty is Ford ESP plan since I pruchased the truck used from a Ford dealer. I'm waiting till this summer for it to expire and will get the GM recommended plan.
  11. The only ice around here is floating in my glass of sweet tea
  12. Anybody have any updates on that supposed merger that should have taken place by the end of '07?
  13. That is both strange and scary to imagine. Here's my thoughts fwiw. If your hearing wind noise, the cabin is not sealed enough to cause interior pessure sufficient to cause the door to open even it's unlatched. the latch would be the only possible suspect imo for the door to open like that. Probably was not latched completely, maybe due to all the reasons already speculated in your other forum. After 20-25 minutes of driving and vibrating, the latch finally released enough to pop open. I might suggest to run the incident by a Toyota mechanic/dealer to see if the weather may had an affect on the latch and check the door seals from where your installer may have created some problems. good luck
  14. sick paint1 I was wondering if those stripes were vinyl or some other kind of overlay, no way that's hand painted $$$
  15. that sucks, sounds like suicide by SSS
  16. Just wanted to let you guys know, that low life got caught a few days later. Good for him cause it was a matter of time before someone else found him. This is the same cowardly bastard that knocked out the old guy in McDonalds right in front of the register and robbed him for $3.
  17. i agree, I'd love to do the 2/2 drop, but I'm worried about towing and hauling I love that look on these trucks
  18. you can get the stockers powder coated for bout $200 I wish, the best price I could find was around $140 per wheel. It's a pain in the ass just to find somewhere to do powdercoating around here for some reason, or I would have done it by now
  19. can't afford no damn games after buying the 80G + cooling fan + second controller +extended warranty =$650. but Motorstorm was cool for a while
  20. Classic rock AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, CCR, Pink Floyd, Rush
  21. Most auto parts stores carry a vinyl repair kit, usually found around the paint stuff. I've used it for the exact same problem. It doesn't work as well as i would hope to make a perfect repair, but at least it keeps the rip from growing and disguises it a little.
  22. welcome call me slow but, where is the XM antenae, didn't all these trucks come standard with satelite?
