  1. Ok, I'll try Ebay. Duhh, never thought of that...
  2. Just wanted to say I really enjoy this board, it has a ton of usefull information that has already helped me make some decisions for my new purchase. I previously drove a '04 2500HD Crew cab and man, that thing sucked down some gas. I drove it primarily for my business to haul tools around and also commercial snowplowing in the winter. Since snow around central Iowa is few and far between, it was not a good idea to drive around spending about $75.00/week in fuel. So I purchased a '03 SS with 29,000 miles on it and love it. By far the best truck I have owned. Looking forward to making some mods (supercharger, rims, exhaust) over this year, and will be asking alot of questions Im sure. Jason
  3. What about taking the yellow vette, only stipulation with the dealer is they sell it to you with a very nice discount. Drive the car for the summer, order another one while your driving this yellow one (from another dealership) and over the winter months, sell the yellow one and make a little money???
  4. Hey all, Looking to get rims for the '03 SS. Where is a good place on the internet to view rims at?
  5. I picked it up from the dealership yesterday and had a chance to finally drive it for awhile. All I can say is WOW!! This is the best truck I have ever owned!! Had several new trucks since '03, and this is by far the best. Now I'm starting to think Kenne Bell Supercharger. But im kinda leary, because this will be a everyday driver..
  6. I was looking at 2 of them, from seperate dealerships....The other one was a '04 with 3000 miles, 6 disc changer, no XM or Onstar, but was a sweet looking truck. My only problem with it was I love black, and this one was red...They were asking $29,995 for it.
  7. Well I purchased it tonight. I ended up purchasing it for $24,000. They were asking $25,500. I got them to kick in the "Tires for Life" promotion, where as long as I go to their dealership every 6000 miles and rotate the tires ($20.00 fee) when the tires get to 4/32" they will replace all of them with the same tires or better that originally came with the vehicle from factory. He said that would normally cost me between $800-$900 with balance and installation. Im very happy about the trade. They made my payoff on a '04 Chevy 2500 HD Crew Cab with 30,000 miles. Also purchased a GM Protection plan for $1900 that extends the warranty until May '09 or 75,000 miles. So, I'll call Nelson next and have my tune transferred over to this truck. Thanks for all the help !!!! Jason
  8. I forgot to mention they have a "tires for life" option, where if you purchase a certified used vehicle from them and you bring your vehicle in for tire rotations every 6000 miles, they will replace the tires on the truck, when needed, for free... Some kinda of sales gimmick, im sure they are walmart special re-treads or something...Would'nt think they would give me a set of pirelli's each time it needed it... I just talked with him a few minutes ago, he's not mentioning this "discounted price" yet....Im sure he's hoping I forgot about it.
  9. Im new to this board and have found a SS that Im looking into purchasing. It's a '03 model, Black exterior, charcoal leather interior, XM and On-star, 6 disc bose system, etc etc. The truck has 29,000 miles on it and the dealership is asking $25,500 and right off the bat they said they would work on the price. My question is, what would be a good purchase price for this truck? Im not sure if I have given enough info for everyone, so if you need more, let me know. It's a very nice truck, no dents, 2 minor scratches from a door ding on one side, runs great, but I want to make sure Im not paying too much. What do you all think???
